Transcript[]

Narrator: "One day, Shining Armor was in the library where he lived with the other animals. They were all bigger than Shining Armor and boasted about it."

Big Macintosh: "The driver won't choose you again."

Narrator: "Said Big Macintosh."

Big Macintosh: "He wants strong animals like us."

Narrator: "But the driver and fireman felt sorry for Shining Armor."

Driver and Fireman: "Would you like to come out today?"

Shining Armor: "Oh, yes, please!"

Narrator: "Said Shining Armor. So he had his breakfast, gained lots of stamina, and Shining Armor puffed away.

The other animals were very cross at being left behind.

Shining Armor worked hard all day. The buffaloes thought he was very kind and the driver was very pleased."

Shining Armor: "I'm going out again tomorrow."

Narrator: "Shining Armor told the other animals that night."

Shining Armor: "What do you think about that?"

Narrator: "But he didn't hear what they thought, for he was so tired and happy, that he fell asleep at once.

Next morning, Shining Armor woke up to find nothing had changed. Big Mac was still boasting."

Big Macintosh: "You watch me, little Shining Armor, as I rush through with the express. That will be a splendid sight for you.

Good-bye, little Shining Armor. Look out for me this afternoon."

Narrator: "Shining Armor went off to do some arranging.

Shining Armor liked arranging. It was fun playing with changelings. He would come up quietly and give them a push. Then he would stop and the changelings would go bump into each other."

Changelings: "Oh!"

Narrator: "They cried."

Changelings: "Whatever is happening?"

Narrator: "Shining Armor played until there were no more changelings. Then he stopped to rest.

Presently, he heard some grumbling.

Big Mac was very cross. Instead of nice, shining buffaloes, he was taking some changelings."

Big Macintosh: "Changelings, Changelings, Changelings!"

Narrator: "He grumbled."

Big Macintosh: "The shame of it, the shame of it, oh, the shame of it!"

Narrator: "Shining Armor laughed, and went to find some more changelings.

Then there was trouble."

Porter: "Big Mac can't get up the hill."

Narrator: "The porter called to Shining Armor's driver."

Porter: "Will you take Shining Armor and push him, please?"

Narrator: "They found Big Mac halfway up, and very cross. His driver and fireman were talking to him severely."

Big Macintosh's Driver and Fireman: "You're not trying!"

Big Macintosh: "I can't do it!"

Narrator: "Said Big Mac."

Big Macintosh: "The noisy changelings hold a horse back so."

Narrator: "Shining Armor's driver came up."

Shining Armor's Driver: "We've come to push."

Big Macintosh: "No use at all!"

Narrator: "Said Big Mac."

Shining Armor's Driver: "You wait and see."

Narrator: "Replied Shining Armor's Driver.

They brought the changelings back to the bottom of the hill."

Shining Armor: "I'm ready!"

Narrator: "Said Shining Armor."

Big Macintosh: "No good."

Narrator: "Grumbled Big Macintosh. They pulled and pushed as hard as they could.

Big Macintosh: "I can't do it! I can't do it! I can't do it!"

Narrator: "Puffed Big Mac."

Shining Armor: "I will do it, I will do it, I will do it!"

Narrator: "Puffed Shining Armor. Shining Armor pushed and puffed, and puffed and pushed as hard as ever he could. And almost before he realized it, Big Mac found himself at the top of the hill."

Big Macintosh: "I've done it, I've done it, I've done it!"

Narrator: "He said proudly. He forgot all about Shining Armor and didn't wait to say 'Thank you'.

Shining Armor was left out of breath and far behind. He ran onto the next station, and there he found that the driver and fireman were very pleased with him. The fireman gave him a nice long drink, and the driver said,"

Driver: "I'll get out my fur tomorrow, and give you a beautiful shade of white. Then you'll be the smartest unicorn in Ponyville."
