Michael Angelis: RS Mr. Conductor and Jake Scoop are friends. Jake is the pride of the Shining Time Newspaper Company. He knows all the rules, and obeys them. One day, JB King brought Mr. Double to the Newspaper Company.
JB King: I need Mr. Double to help for a while. Please show him around.
Jake Scoop: Yes.
Michael Angelis: Said Jake unhappily. He knew Mr. Double could be trouble. Later, Mr. Double was being careless.
Jake Scoop: Not like that!
Michael Angelis: Snapped Jake Scoop.
Jake Scoop: Do it right!
Mr. Double: Don't interfere!
Michael Angelis: Sneered Mr. Double.
Jake Scoop: You don't know the rules!
Michael Angelis: Retorted Jake. Mr. Double was very annoyed with Jake and started plotting a devious plan. Later that day, he pretended to have news for Jake.
Mr. Double: JB King wants you to work at scrapyard.
Jake Scoop: Me? But I'm the pride of the Newspaper Company.
Mr. Double: Not anymore. JB King says I'm better than you, so I'm going to stay here.
Jake Scoop: It's not fair. I love working here.
Michael Angelis: But he knew that really useful newswriters have to do as they are told. Jake and The Coast Guard arrived at the scrapyard.
Jake Scoop: I want to go back to the Newspaper Company.
Michael Angelis: Wailed Jake Scoop.
Jake Scoop: None of the other people like coming here, it's so scary!
The Coast Guard: You're right.
Michael Angelis: Said The Coast Guard. Just then, the Scrapmen arrived.
Bull & Biff: Hello. Are you happy to be here?
Jake Scoop: No!
Michael Angelis: Cried Jake. The Coast Gaurd was scared too.
The Coast Guard: Come on, Jake, we're going to escape!
Michael Angelis: And for the first time, Jake Scoop broke the rules. JB King was enjoying a tasty supper of kippers, when he heard that Jake Scoop was missing.
JB King: That's not like Jake Scoop. There must be something wrong. I will send RS Mr. Conductor to look for him.
Michael Angelis: Jake and The Coast Guard turned onto a disused path to find a place to hide. Jake was frightened. So was RS Mr. Conductor. He looked all over Shining Time, he couldn't see Jake anywhere.
Orson: We could search the old mine path.
Michael Angelis: Said Orson.
RS Mr. Conductor: That path is dark and spooky.
Michael Angelis: Whispered RS Mr. Conductor. But he had to be brave and find Jake. Jake was on a siding. He ran out of stamina. Then, it happened.
Jake Scoop: It's a conductor!
Michael Angelis: He cried.
RS Mr. Conductor: Jake Scoop!
Michael Angelis: Said RS Mr. Conductor.
RS Mr. Conductor: What are you doing out here?
Jake Scoop: Hiding. Don't want to work at Scrapyard. JB King is going to be very cross with me.
RS Mr. Conductor: He's not.
Michael Angelis: Cried RS Mr. Conductor.
RS Mr. Conductor: He's worried about you.
Jake Scoop: Really?
RS Mr. Conductor: Of course.
Michael Angelis: Said RS Mr. Conductor. Jake Scoop felt better. RS Mr. Conductor took Jake all the way to scrapyard, where he knew JB King was waiting.
JB King: Jake, explain yourself.
Jake Scoop: I ran away. It's scary here.
RS Mr. Conductor: Mr. Double told Jake that you wanted him at scrapyard forever.
Michael Angelis: Said RS Mr. Conductor.
JB King: Nonsense, Jake. You are the pride of the Newspaper Company. I shall send Mr. Double to the scrapyard, and you can go back to the Newspaper Company tomorrow.
Jake Scoop: Oh, thank you sir.
Michael Angelis: Said Jake happily. Jake knew he had a good friend in RS Mr. Conductor, and he was still the pride of the Newspaper Company.
