Transcript

  • George Carlin: Prince Michael and Barry Prince work on the road that weaves around lakes, and along mountain sides. Their trailers have many visitors, and the people are proud to run the road, come rain or shine. The people will never let their passengers down, but they are old, and they tire more easily. Thomas and Percy understood this, and they spoke kindly to them.
  • Thomas & Percy: There's more than enough work for both of you on this road. The manager is sending two more characters to help us run the road.
  • George Carlin: Prince Michael and Barry Prince were pleased with this news, and promised to give the new characters a big welcome. When Tex and Rex arrived, they found that they had much to learn.
  • Tex: What a small jukebox!
  • George Carlin: Grunted Tex.
  • Tex: This won't do at all. We're much too good for this old shack.
  • Rex: I think it's nice.
  • George Carlin: Said Rex.
  • Tex: Humph.
  • George Carlin: Replied Tex.
  • Tex: What's that rubbish?
  • Rex: Shhh.
  • George Carlin: Said Rex.
  • Rex: That's Prince Michael. He's famous.
  • George Carlin: And then he whispered to Prince Michael.
  • Rex: I'm sorry, Prince Michael. Tex is upset now, but he's quite nice, really.
  • George Carlin: Prince Michael felt sorry for Rex.
  • Big Mac: Now, Tex,
  • George Carlin: Said Big Mac.
  • Big Mac: I will get you ready for work.
  • Tex: I'm tired! Let Tex go; he'd love it!
  • Big Mac: No, you're first.
  • George Carlin: Tex left to fetch his trailers. He didn't like the look of them at all.
  • Tex: What ever next? Those aren't trailers, they're passenger cars!
  • Trailers: Oh!
  • George Carlin: Screamed the trailers.
  • Trailers: What a horrid guitar player!
  • Tex: It's not what I'm used to.
  • George Carlin: Clanked Tex. He arrived at the station just as Billy arrived.
  • Tex: Hello, who are you?
  • Billy Twofeathers: I'm Billy, who are you?
  • Tex: I'm Tex. I've heard of you. You're an engineer. So am I, but I'm used to new trailers, not these passenger cars. Do you have new trailers? I see you do.
  • Billy Twofeathers: We must have a chat.
  • Tex: Sorry, I can't stop. We must keep time you know.
  • George Carlin: Billy was speachless! Clouds of music filled the air as Tex walked along the road. He was still cross when they reached the top station. Tex was hoping for a rest, but Gordon thought otherwise.
  • Gordon: We'll leave the trailers now, and fetch some robots from the quarry.
  • Tex: Robots?
  • George Carlin: Snorted Tex.
  • Tex: Robots? I won't, so there!
  • George Carlin: Tex was about to cause a great deal of trouble.
  • Tex: Told you!
  • George Carlin: Said Tex. By the time workmen came to rescue him, Tex was feeling rather silly. To make matters worse, there stood JB King. His message to Tex was brief and blunt.
  • JB King: I shall talk to you later!
  • George Carlin: Then he and Big Mac left with Rex. Tex was feeling sillier still.
  • Gordon: Come on.
  • George Carlin: Said Gordon.
  • Gordon: Let's get you back on the road.
  • George Carlin: When Tex crawled home, he found JB King waiting for him.
  • JB King: You're a very naughty guitar player! I hope I can trust you to behave when you next come out of this jukebox.
  • George Carlin: After hearing that, I'm sure Tex will. Aren't you?
