Narrator: "It was wintertime on Acme Acres. It had snowed all night. The trees were white. The cottages were white and even King Acorn's land was white. There was not an animal in sight.

At Buster's Burrow, the animals looked out. Hamton was very excited."

Hamton: "It snowed!"

Narrator: "Buster didn't like the snow."

Buster: "Bother! I'll have to wear my heavy snow pants."

Rotor: "I don't like snow. You can get stuck in it."

Knuckles: "Stuff and nonsense! Snow is soft but I am strong! It won't bother me!"

Narrator: "Then, King Acorn arrived."

King Acorn: "Knuckles you must take some Perfectoids to the harbor. They are needed for an important coal delivery. You are a strong animal, but snow is slippery. Take the long way around."

Knuckles: "Yes, sir!"

King Acorn: "Buster, you must deliver bundles of firewood to the stations."

Buster: "Yes, sir!"

Narrator: "And then, King Acorn left.

Buster puffed with pride."

Buster: "That's a very special job."

Knuckles: "Not as important as mine! I shall go straight to the harbor, I shall run over every hill I come to!"

Narrator: "Knuckles boasted proudly."

Fifi: "Take ze long way rhound! Zat means Knuckles, don't go up any hills!"

Knuckles: "Hills are not too steep for me! I am strong! I am the best!"

Narrator: "And Knuckles left Buster's Burrow.

Knuckles huffed and he puffed. His breath was gray against the snowy white countryside. Soon, Knuckles came to a hill."

Knuckles: "This hill isn't too steep for me! I shall run over it."

Narrator: "So Knuckles thundered up the hill."

Knuckles: "I am special, I am the best!"

Narrator: "And he ran right to the top."

Knuckles: "That was easy!"

Narrator: "But Knuckles found going down the other side wasn't so easy. The ground was icy. Knuckles' feet slipped and slid. He went faster and faster."

Knuckles: "Ferrising feet!"

Narrator: "Johnny pew was going up the hill. The Duke and Duchess were following. They were having tea."

Johnny Pew: "Slow down, Knuckles!"

Narrator: "But Knuckles couldn't slow down. Slushy snow sprayed from his feet. Johnny was covered from head to toe."

Johnny Pew: "Twist my tail! I'm as dirty as a ditch!"

Narrator: "But Knuckles didn't hear, as he ran across the icy path.

Knuckles came to another hill. It was even bigger."

Knuckles: "This hill isn't too steep for me! I shall run over it."

Narrator: "So, Knuckles thundered up the hill."

Knuckles: "I am special, I am the best!"

Narrator: "But the paths were icy. The snow was deep, and the hill was very, very steep. Knuckles ran slower and slower."

Knuckles: "Bust my body! This... is... hard... work!"

Narrator: "Step by step, Knuckles huffed and puffed to the top of the hill. He felt very pleased."

Knuckles: "I am the strongest, I am the best!"

Narrator: "But, at the bottom of the hill there was deep, deep snow! The snow flew up, all over Knuckles' face!"

Knuckles: "Bubbling berries! I can't see!"

Narrator: "Knuckles shook off the main track and into a siding, straight into the back of a pile of slate!

Knuckles was covered in thick, grey dust."

Knuckles: "Oh, the indignity! At least I can see now."

Narrator: "And Knuckles huffed on towards the harbor. The snow was deeper, and deeper, and deeper! Knuckles could hardly get through it."

Knuckles: "This is hard work!"

Narrator: "Now, Knuckles was at the bottom of Knuckles' hill. Knuckles' hill was the biggest of all, and it was covered in thick, thick snow."

Knuckles: "Knuckles' hill isn't too steep for me! I shall run over it! I am strong! I am the best!"

Narrator: "But Knuckles didn't feel so strong anymore, and he didn't feel the best. Knuckles puffed against the snow."

Knuckles: "Snow is soft, and I am strong. It won't bother me!"

Narrator: "But the snow wasn't soft. It had become a giant snowball. It grew bigger, and bigger. Knuckles started to huff slower, and slower. He thought his back was going to burst!"

Knuckles: "Oh, my!"

Narrator: "Just then, Buster came up behind Knuckles.

Buster: "Thank you for clearing the paths, Knuckles. Now I can deliver the firewood faster!"

Narrator: "Then there was trouble. The giant snowball was too big, and too heavy. It started to push Knuckles back down the hill."

Knuckles: "Look out, Buster!"

Buster: "Sufferin' succotash!"

Narrator: "Knuckles and his Perfectoids rolled back faster, and faster! Buster backed up faster, and faster! He slipped into a siding and Knuckles rolled round the bend."

Knuckles: "The giant snowball will surely miss us now!"

Narrator: "But Knuckles was wrong. The giant snowball rolled down the hill and crashed and bashed into Buster!"

Buster: "Help!"

Narrator: "Knuckles saw Buster and his pile of firewood lifted high in the air and knocked out! Now, it was Buster who looked like a giant snowball. Luckily, no one was hurt. Knuckles felt terrible."

Knuckles: "I'm not strong, and I'm not the best. It's a disaster!"

Narrator: "Knuckles walked slowly to Buster."

Knuckles: "I'm sorry, Buster. I'll try my best to help you."

Narrator: "Knuckles heaved and hauled. He pushed and puffed, but the snow was too heavy. The snow was too thick. Knuckles could not chuff through it to help his friend."

Knuckles: "I'm not strong enough, Buster. I'll find Digeri Dingo! He's stronger than me!"

Narrator: "Knuckles found Digeri at the harbor."

Digeri: "Hello, Buster. I'll have you out of there in no time!"

Narrator: "Soon, Buster was no longer a snowball. He was a bright blue bunny again!"

Buster: "Thank you Digeri! Now I must deliver my firewood. I'm very late. The Animators will be waiting, and they'll be very cold!"

Knuckles: "I'll help you, Buster!"

Buster: "What about your very important job?"

Knuckles: "I delivered my Perfectoids to the harbor. Now I can help you with your very important job."

Narrator: "Buster was very happy to have his friend's help."

Buster: "Thank you, Knuckles."

Narrator: "Buster and Knuckles ran cheerfully through the snow and when they came to a hill, they always went around it. Together, Buster and Knuckles delivered the firewood to all the stations. The Animtators were very pleased to see them. At last, Knuckles and Buster puffed home to Buster's burrow. They were tired, but they were happy to have been really useful. Knuckles announced grandly..."

Knuckles: "I have something very important to say! No animal is special and every animal is best!"

Narrator: "Buster and his friends whistled. They all agreed with Knuckles."
