Transcript[]

Narrator: "Every day, Mario came to the station to see the game characters."

Mario: "Hello."

Narrator: "He always said to Sonic."

Mario: "Remember, don't be impatient, Sonic. You can never be as strong and fast as Grumpy, but you can be a really useful hedgehog. Don't let the silly Pirates tease you.

Narrator: "There were lots of Pirates, and Sonic worked very hard pushing and pulling them into place. There was also a small trailer and two strange things his animator called cranes."

Sonic's Game Player: "That's the breakdown crane."

Narrator: "He told Sonic."

Sonic's Game Player: "The cranes are for lifting heavy things, like game characters, swans, and Pirates."

Narrator: "One day, Sonic was in the yard. Suddenly, he heard a rabbit screaming."

Rabbit: "Help! Help!"

Narrator: "A rabbit came rushing through, much too fast. The rabbit was Rabbit, and he was frightened. His rabbit feet were on fire."

Rabbit: "They're pushing me, they're pushing me!"

Narrator: "He panted."

Pirates: "On, on, on!"

Narrator: "Laughed the Pirates.

Still screaming,"

Rabbit: "Help! Help!"

Narrator: "Poor Rabbit disappeared."

Sonic: "I'd like to teach those Pirates a lesson."

Narrator: "Said Sonic.

Soon came the alarm."

Sonic's Game Player: "Rabbit's off the line, the breakdown crane, quickly!"

Narrator: "Sonic grabbed the crane, and off they went.

Sonic worked his hardest."

Sonic: "Hurry, hurry, hurry!"

Narrator: "He puffed. He wasn't pretending to be like Grumpy; he really meant it."

Sonic: "Bother those Pirates and their tricks. I hope poor Rabbit isn't hurt."

Narrator: "Rabbit's Game Players were feeling him all over, to see if he was hurt."

Rabbit's Game Players: "Never mind, Rabbit."

Narrator: "They said."

Rabbit's Game Player:" It wasn't your fault. It was those rabbit feet they gave you. We always said they were no good."

Narrator: "Sonic pushed the breakdown crane alongside. Then he pulled the unhurt pirates out of the way."

Pirates: "Oh, dear, oh, dear!"

Narrator: "They groaned."

Sonic: "Serves you right, serves you right!"

Narrator: "Puffed Sonic.

He was hard at work, puffing backwards and forwards all day."

Sonic: "This will teach you a lesson. This will teach you a lesson."

Narrator: "He told the Pirates.

And they answered,"

Pirates: "Yes it will, yes it will."

Narrator: "They left the broken Pirates, then with two cranes, they put Rabbit back on the line.

He tried to move, but he couldn't, so Sonic helped him back home.

Mario was waiting anxiously for them."

Mario: "Well, Sonic,"

Narrator: "He said,"

Mario: "I've heard all about it, and I'm very pleased with you. You're a really useful hedgehog.

Rabbit shall have some proper feet and a new coat of fur, and you shall have a game all to yourself."

Sonic: "Oh, thank you, sir!"

Narrator: "Said Sonic.

Now Sonic is as happy as can be. He has a game, and two babies called Baby Peach and Baby Daisy. He puffs proudly backwards and forwards with them all day.

He is never lonely. Bagheera and Baloo stop quite often and tell him the news.

Grumpy is always in a hurry, but never forgets to whistle to Sonic, and Sonic always whistles, in return."
