Starkville is a town in the northern portion of Mississippi. It is home to Mississippi State University and is part of what is regionally known as the Golden Triangle Region, which consists of Starkville, Columbus, and West Point. Being a college town, it's actual population varies greatly between the summer months and school months. It's official population is 23,638.
