Narrator: Stepney the Bluebell Engine likes carrying passengers at Bluebell time. The engines are always happy when he comes to visit and the passengers are always happy to travel with him. But sometime Stepney longs for some coaches of his very own.

Stepney: What I want more than anything else are two of my very own coaches.

Stepney's Driver: Well Stepney, I'm sure the Fat Controller can afford you some coaches of your own sooner than later.

Stepney: I hope you're right driver. Now which coaches shall I take today?

Narrator: Then Stepney saw Gordon's special blue coaches which Gordon had received after setting a new record.

Stepney: Those one look quite nice. Yes, I'll take those ones for the day.

Narrator: But Stepney didn't realize they weren't his coaches at all.

(Gordon's coaches wake up)

Maggie (Gordon's composite coach): Is that the time?

Teresa (Gordon's brake coach): Already? Time to go?

Stepney: Hello ladies, I'll be your engine today.

Maggie: He's never seen us before, Teresa, I don't think.

Teresa: I think you're right, Maggie, but at least we'll enjoy travelling with him.

Maggie: Wait a minute. Aren't we meant to be Gordon's coaches?

Stepney: Never mind, I'm sure Gordon won't mind this once.

Narrator: But Stepney had thought wrong. Gordon was surprised when he saw Stepney pulling his special coaches.

Stepney: Hello Gordon!

Gordon: What do you think you're doing? Give my coaches back!

Narrator: Stepney didn't hear Gordon and he went on his way. Then James past.

Stepney: Hi James.

James: Um Stepney, don't you appear to be pulling another engine's coaches?

Stepney: Not that I'm aware of.

Narrator: And Donald past too.

Donald: Hey Stepney, shouldn't Gordon be pulling those coaches?

Stepney: Gordon with these coaches? Oh no! I got the wrong coaches. What was I thinking. I should had asked the Fat Controller whose coaches these were before collecting them.

Narrator: Meanwhile Gordon was talking to Sir Topham Hatt.

Gordon: Stepney took my special coaches, sir! It isn't fair.

Sir Topham Hatt: But he's never seen those coaches before, he couldn't help it. All the same, you must pick up new coaches.

Gordon: New coaches, but sir...

Sir Topham Hatt: Don't argue, just go.

Narrator: Gordon was upset because he thought the new coaches were going to replace his blue ones. Meanwhile Stepney had shunted Gordon's coaches into a siding at Knapford Yards.

Stafford: Hi Stepney. Why do you have Gordon's blue coaches.

Stepney: Of course! That must have been why he looked cross. I'll go at once and apologize.

Teresa: What about us?

Stepney: I'll return you to Gordon later.

Gordon: That Stepney. He's the reason why I've been given new coaches when there's nothing wrong with my special ones.

Narrator: Stepney meanwhile had just returned to Knapford when the signalman waved to him.

Signalman: Stafford hasn't cleared his signalbox. Please go and see what's wrong.

Narrator: When Stepney entered the station he could now see that Stafford was stranded on the points because his battery had run out of power. Then Stepney had Gordon's whistle.

Stepney: Oh no, Gordon will never stop in time. Hang on Stafford, I'm coming.

Narrator: Stepney charged towards Stafford, and with a huge effort pushed him across the track, just in time.

Stepney: Whoa that was close.

Stafford: Thanks Stepney.

Narrator: Gordon came to a stop just inside the station.

Gordon: Yeah thanks Stepney.

Narrator: Later the Fat Controller praised Stepney.

Sir Topham Hatt: You were very brave Stepney.

Stafford: Yes, congratulations.

Stepney: Sorry I took your special coaches Gordon.

Gordon: Sorry I was so cross Stepney.

Sir Topham Hatt: And because you stopped a nasty accident from happening, I would like to give you your own coaches, if you give Gordon's his back first.

Stepney: Oh yes, I almost forgot. Gordon, here are your coaches back.

Maggie: It's good to be finally back with you Gordon.

Teresa: Yes, thank you Gordon.

Gordon: Hello again ladies. And here are your very own Bluebell coaches.

Stepney: At last, coaches of my very own!

Sir Topham Hatt: Stepney, here are Wilma and Betty, your permanent coaches.

Stepney: Thanks sir.

Wilma: Hello Stepney.

Betty: It's good to finally have an engine of our own.

Narrator: Stepney loves his coaches, and Wilma and Betty love being part of the North Western Railway.
