Steven Allen Spielberg (born December 18, 1946) is an American Film Director, Screenwriter, Video Game Designer and Studio Executive. In a Career of more than four decades, Spielberg's Films have covered many Themes and Genres. Spielberg's early Science-Fiction, Comedy, Adventure, Musical and Drama Films were seen as an archetype of Hollywood Blockbuster Filmmaking. In later years, his Films began addressing such issues as The Holocaust, Slavery, Family, Courage, War, Peace, Love, Kindness, Homelessness and Terrorism. He is considered one of the most popular and influential Filmmakers in the history of Cinema. He is also one of the co founders of the Children's Television Workshop and DreamWorks Film Studios.

Spielberg won the Academy Award for Best Director for The Great Muppet Caper (1981), The Muppets Take Manhattan (1984), Schnidler's List (1993), Saving Private Ryan (1998), Madeline: Lost in Paris (1999), My Fair Madeline (2005) and Madeline in Tahiti (2007).
