Summer Activities At Shining Time Station (2003) is a Shining Time Station Home Video that was released on June 24, 2003.

Plot

• It is summertime at Shining Time Station. The J-Team, The Mascaritas, The Ed Boys, The Hoop Kids, Our Heroes, Virgil, Richie, The Powerpuff Girls, The Cardcaptor Girls, The Duelists, The NT Warriors, The Xiaolin Monks and The Loonatics are having their biggest day ever. Awaiting the gang are Team Sonic, The Ninja Turtles, The Witchlings, The Mew Mews, The Straw Hat Pirates and The D Team. However, Team Rocket and The Greaser Dogs try to ruin the activities, but they get thrown out. After that, everyone is glad summer's a success.

• Brock: We're ready for summer activities.
• Ed: There will be lots of fun.
• Double D: And lots of excitement.
• Meilin: We do know about our white pantyhose.
• Chelsea: Even Ally and Anita.
• Virgil: Sis and Pop will love the activities.
• Richie: As well as Mr. Foley.
• Rikochet: Oh, these activities will be exciting.
• Flea: The Flea knows that.
• Amy: Seems that both you and Annie like to share your purple and black stripy tights.
• Mel: Even Nikki.
• Maylu: I'm good in my black stockings.
• Yai: Oh yes you are.
• Bubbles: Everyone will love the fun.
• Buttercup: As well as action.
• (The Conductors appear)
• Mr. Conductor 1: What's up, guys?
• Kimiko: Mr. Conductors 1 and 2.
• Buena Girl: We're just about to go to the activities.
• Mr. Conductor 2: Then we're going too.
• Joey: Did you hear that Tristan? They're in!
• Tristan: You said it, Wheeler!
• Mr. Conductor 1: Life on the Island of Sodor can be saved. Let me tell you about Thomas.
• (Mr. Conductor 1 blows his whistle and Thomas Saves The Day starts)
• Mr. Conductor 1: Every day, Sir Topham Hatt came to the station to catch his train.
• Sir Topham Hatt: Hello.
• Mr. Conductor 1: He said to Thomas.
• Sir Topham Hatt: Don't let the silly freight cars tease you. Remember, you have an important job as a special helper in the train yard.
• (Thomas' whistle toots)
• Mr. Conductor 1: There were lots of freight cars and Thomas worked very hard pushing and pulling them into place. There was also a small coach and two strange things his driver called cranes.
• Thomas' Driver: That's the breakdown train.
• Mr. Conductor 1: He told Thomas.
• Thomas' Driver: The cranes are for lifting heavy things like engines and coaches and freight cars.
• Mr. Conductor 1: One day, Thomas was in the yard. Suddenly he heard an engine whistling.
• James: Help! Help!
• Mr. Conductor 1: A frieght train came rushing through much too fast. The engine was James and he was frightened. His brake blocks were on fire.
• James: They're pushing me, they're pushing me.
• Mr. Conductor 1: He panted.
• Freight Cars: On! On!
• Mr. Conductor 1: Laughed the freight cars. Still whistling...
• James: Help! Help!
• Mr. Conductor 1: Poor James disappeared.
• Thomas: I like to teach those freight cars a lesson.
• Mr. Conductor 1: Said Thomas the Tank Engine.
• (We hear an alarm ringing)
• Mr. Conductor 1: Soon came the alarm.
• Signalman: James is off the line. The breakdown train quickly.
• Mr. Conductor 1: Thomas was coupled on and off they went. Thomas worked his hardest.
• Thomas: Hurry, hurry, hurry!
• Mr. Conductor 1: He puffed. He wasn't predenting to be like Gordon. He really meant it.
• Thomas: Bother those freight cars and their tricks. I hope poor James isn't hurt.
• Mr. Conductor 1: James' driver and fireman were feeling him all over to see if he was hurt.
• (Cows mooing)
• James' Driver and Fireman: Never mind James.
• Mr. Conductor 1: They said.
• James' Driver and Fireman: It was those silly freight cars and your old wooden brakes that caused the accident.
• Mr. Conductor 1: Thomas pushed the breakdown train alongside. Then he pulled away the unhurt freight cars.
• Freight Cars: Oh, dear. Oh, dear.
• Mr. Conductor 1: They groaned.
• Thomas: Serves you right, serves you right.
• Mr. Conductor 1: Puffed Thomas. He was hard at work puffing backwards and forwards all afternoon.
• Thomas: This'll teach you a lesson, this'll teach you a lesson.
• Mr. Conductor 1: He told the freight cars. And they answered...
• Freight Cars: Yes it will, yes it will.
• Mr. Conductor 1: They left the broken cars. Then with two cranes they put James back on the rails.
• (The cranes lift James away from the field. A surprised Thomas watches as James is put back to the rails)
• Mr. Conductor 1: He tried to move, but he couldn't so Thomas helped him back to the shed. Sir Topham Hatt was waiting anxiously for them.
• Sir Topham Hatt: Well, Thomas.
• Mr. Conductor 1: He said.
• Sir Topham Hatt: I heard all about it and i'm very pleased with you. You're a really useful engine. James shall have some proper brakes and a new coat of paint and you shall have a branch line all to yourself.
• Thomas: Oh thank you sir.
• Mr. Conductor 1: Said Thomas. Now Thomas is as happy as can be. He has a branch line and two coaches called Annie and Clarabel. He puffs proudly backwards and forwards with them all day. He is never lonely. Edward and Henry stop quite often and tell him the news. Gordon is always in a hurry but never forgets to say...
• Gordon: Poop Poop.
• Mr. Conductor 1: And Thomas always whistles...
• Thomas: Peep Peep.
• Mr. Conductor 1: In return.
• (Thomas' whistle toots)
• (Thomas Saves The Day ends)
• Mr. Conductor 1: So that's why Thomas had saved James from total danger.
• Eddy: That's more like it. Especially the part where he gained a branch line.
• Al: You'd be leaving right?
• The Conductors: Right.
• (The Conductors disappear)
• Ash: What are we waiting for, guys?
• Mary: Let's go to the summer activities.
• Others: Yeah!
• (Inside the Jukebox)

• Clay: Did Thomas get a major accident?
• Mr. Conductor 1: Of course, Clay. He ventured into the mines and fell down one. Let me explain.
• (Mr. Conductor 1 blows his whistle and Down The Mine starts)
• Mr. Conductor 1: One day, Thomas was at the junction when Gordon shuffled in with some freight cars.
• Thomas: Phew!
• Mr. Conductor 1: Remarked Thomas
• Thomas: What a funny smell. Can you smell a smell?
• Annie: I can't smell a smell.
• Mr. Conductor 1: Said Annie.
• Thomas: A funny musty sort of smell.
• Mr. Conductor 1: Said Thomas.
• Gordon: No one noticed until you did.
• Mr. Conductor 1: Grumbled Gordon.
• Gordon: It must be yours.
• Mr. Conductor 1: Not long ago, he had fallen into a dirty ditch. Thomas enjoyed teasing him about it.
• Thomas: Annie, Clarabel, do you know what i think it is? It's ditchwater.
• Mr. Conductor 1: Before Gordon could answer, Thomas puffed away. Annie and Clarabel could hardly believe their ears.
• Annie: He's dreadfully rude i feel quite ashamed.
• Clarabel: I feel quite ashamed he's dreadfully rude.
• Mr. Conductor 1: And to Thomas they said.
• Annie and Clarabel: You musn't be rude, you make us ashamed.
• Mr. Conductor 1: But Thomas didn't care a bit.
• Thomas: That was funny, that was funny.
• Mr. Conductor 1: He chuckled. He felt very pleased with himself. Annie and Clarabel were deeply shocked. They have great respect for Gordon The Big Engine. Thomas left the coaches at the station and went off to a mine for some cars. Long ago, miners digging there have made tunnels under the ground. Their rooves are strong enough to hold up cars but not the weight of engines. A large notice warns them not to enter the area: Danger! Engines must not pass this board.
• Thomas: Silly old board.
• Mr. Conductor 1: Thought Thomas. He had often tried to pass it but had never suceeded. But this morning he had made a plan. The fireman went to throw the switch.
• Thomas: Now for my plan!
• Mr. Conductor 1: Huffed Thomas. Bumping the cars fiercely he jerked his driver off the footplate and followed them into the siding.
• Thomas' Driver: Come back!
• Mr. Conductor 1: Yelled his driver.
• (A loud splash is heard as Thomas falls to the mine)
• Thomas: Fire and smoke!
• Mr. Conductor 1: Said Thomas.
• Thomas: I'm sunk.
• Mr. Conductor 1: And he was.
• Thomas: Oh, dear.
• Mr. Conductor 1: He said.
• Thomas: I am a silly engine.
• Sir Topham Hatt: And a very naughty one, too. I saw you!
• Mr. Conductor 1: Said Sir Topham Hatt.
• Thomas: Please let me out. I wont do it again.
• Sir Topham Hatt: I'm not sure. We can't lift you out with the cranes. The ground's not firm enough. Hmm, let me see. I wonder if Gordon could pull you out.
• Thomas: Yes sir.
• Mr. Conductor 1: Said Thomas. But he didn't want to meet Gordon just yet.
• Gordon: Down the mine is he? Ha! ha! ha!
• Mr. Conductor 1: Laughed Gordon.
• Gordon: What a joke! Poop poop! Little Thomas, we'll have your out in a couple of puffs.
• Mr. Conductor 1: Strong cables were fastened between the two engines.
• Sir Topham Hatt: Are you ready? Heave!
• Mr. Conductor 1: It was a lot harden than they all thought. At last Thomas was free.
• Thomas: I'm sorry i was cheeky.
• Mr. Conductor 1: Said Thomas.
• Gordon: That's all right, Thomas. You made me laugh.
• Mr. Conductor 1: Replied Gordon.
• Gordon: I'm in disgrace.
• Thomas: So do i.
• Mr. Conductor 1: Huffed Thomas.
• Gordon: Why so you are Thomas. Shall we form an alliance. You help me and i help you.
• Thomas: Right you are.
• Mr. Conductor 1: Agreed Thomas.
• Gordon: Good. That's settled.
• Mr. Conductor 1: Grumbled Gordon. And buffer to buffer the allies puffed home.
• (Gordon's whistle toots and Thomas' whistle toots)

• Mr. Conductor 1: So that's how Thomas learned to be very careful.
• Ace: I believe you're right.
• Lexi: You'd be staying right?
• The Conductors: Right.
• Luffy: Next up, Mel Blake performing her favorite song Breakaway.
• (Mel performs Breakaway through her guitar)
• Mel: (singing) Grew up in a small town and when the rain would fall down. I'd just stare out my window. • Mr. Conductor 1: I'd never knew about music.
• Lan: Neither do us.
• Dex: Do you remember Cyril?
• Mr. Conductor 2: Yes, Dex. He's a fogman that Thomas met. Let me explain.
• (Mr. Conductor 2 blows his whistle and The Fogman starts)
• Mr. Conductor 2: It was winter on the Island of Sodor. The first fogs had begun to roll in from the sea. Thomas, Annie and Clarabel love the quiet of Misty Valley. But Thomas must be careful of rocks that sometimes roll onto the tracks. Cyril the Fogman has a very important job. He puts detonators on the tracks to warn the engines when there's fog ahead.
• (Boom!)
• Thomas: Oooh.
• Mr. Conductor 2: Shivered Thomas as he ran over the detonator.
• Thomas: That made my axles tingle.
• Thomas' Driver: Cyril's done his job.
• Mr. Conductor 2: Said his driver.
• Thomas' Driver: We better slow down. There's fog ahead.
• Thomas: Thank you, Cyril.
• Mr. Conductor 2: Said Thomas. That night at the sheds, Sir Topham Hatt had something special to show the engines. It was very large and strange looking.
• Percy: What is it?
• Mr. Conductor 2: Asked Percy.
• Sir Topham Hatt: It's a new invention, a railway foghorn.
• Mr. Conductor 2: Said Sir Topham Hatt.
• Sir Topham Hatt: It warns you when there's fog ahead. Like this.
• (The foghorn begins to wail and bricks from the roof fall down into the floor then it turns off)
• Percy: That's loud!
• Mr. Conductor 2: Said Percy.
• James: Too loud.
• Mr. Conductor 2: Huffed James.
• Gordon: Sounds like a tugboat to me.
• Mr. Conductor 2: Grumbled Gordon. Thomas looked worried.
• Thomas: What will Cyril do now?
• Mr. Conductor 2: He asked.
• Sir Topham Hatt: It will begin in a much needed rest.
• Mr. Conductor 2: Said Sir Topham Hatt.
• Sir Topham Hatt: Besides, this new foghorn will be more reliable.
• Thomas: Poor Cyril.
• Mr. Conductor 2: Whispered Thomas.
• Thomas: He's been scrapped.
• Mr. Conductor 2: The next day, Percy was cheerfully chuffing through Misty Valley when suddenly...
• (The foghorn wails again)
• Percy: Oh, Jeepers!
• Mr. Conductor 2: Exclamied Percy.
• Percy: That foghorn is so loud it rattles my dome. It doesn't even make my axles tingle.
• Percy's Driver: Still, we better slow down.
• Mr. Conductor 2: Said his driver.
• Percy's Driver: There's fog ahead.
• Mr. Conductor 2: The foghorn had been so loud that it made the hillside shake. No sooner was Percy out of sight, when one rock fell, then another and another. Before long, the track was blocked and the foghorn was crushed. Not far away. Thomas was puffing happily right on time.
• (Thomas' whistle toots)
• Thomas: I can't see a thing!
• Mr. Conductor 2: Said Thomas. And then before he could think of anything else...
• (Crash!)
• Thomas: Bust my buffers!
• Mr. Conductor 2: Cried Thomas.
• Thomas: What happened to the foghorn.
• Thomas' Driver: I don't know.
• Mr. Conductor 2: Said his driver.
• Thomas' Driver: But at least nobody's been hurt.
• Thomas' Fireman: Toby will be coming down the line any minute.
• Mr. Conductor 2: Said his fireman.
• Thomas: If there's no foghorn here...
• Mr. Conductor 2: Said Thomas.
• Thomas: He'll run into us.
• Voice: Leave it to me.
• Mr. Conductor 2: Called a voice from the fog.
• Thomas: It's Cyril!
• Mr. Conductor 2: Said Thomas.
• Thomas: I hope he's in time.
• Mr. Conductor 2: Toby and his coach Henrietta were chuffing along. Toby was looking forward for a well earned drink at the station when...
• (Boom!)
• Toby: Fog detonators!
• Mr. Conductor 2: Puffed Toby.
• Toby's Driver: There must be fog ahead.
• Mr. Conductor 2: Said his driver.
• Toby's Driver: We better slow down.
• Mr. Conductor 2: And just around the next bend, with his axles still tingling, Toby was very glad they did. Otherwise, they would've crashed into Thomas' wreck. Soon the tracks were cleared and Thomas was back on the rails.
• Thomas: If it hadn't been for Cyril...
• Mr. Conductor 2: Said Thomas.
• Thomas: Toby might have had a worst accident than me.
• Sir Topham Hatt: Instead of replacing Cyril with a foghorn...
• Mr. Conductor 2: Said Sir Topham Hatt.
• Sir Topham Hatt: We'll replace the foghorn with Cryril. You're cleary more reliable.
• Cyril: Thank you, sir.
• Mr. Conductor 2: Said Cyril.
• Toby: And thank you.
• Mr. Conductor 2: Said Toby.
• Thomas: New inventions are all very well.
• Mr. Conductor 2: Said Thomas.
