Ringo Starr: Mario is a Red Plumber who lives in a little mushroom in Mushroom Kingdon. He's a cheeky little plumber with two small legs, a red hat, a red shirt and blue overalls. He's a fussy little plumber too. Always moving carts about ready for the big people to take on long journeys. And when they come in, He pulls the carts away so that the big people can go and rest. Mario thinks no one works as hard as he does. He loves playing tricks on them. Including Cartman, the fattest and proudest kid of all. Mario likes to tease Cartman.
Mario: Wake up, lazybones! Why don't you work hard like me.
Ringo Starr: One day, after pulling a big cart, Cartman arrived back at the school very tired. He was just going to sleep when Mario came up in his cheeky way.
Mario: Wake up, lazybones! Do some hard work for change! You can't catch me!
Ringo Starr: And off he ran laughing. Instead of going to sleep again, Cartman thought how he could get back at Mario. One morning, Mario wouldn't wake. Bill and Ben couldn't make him start. His stamina was low and there was not enough strength. It was nearly time the express. People were waiting, but the carts weren't ready. At last, Mario started.
Mario: Oh dear! Oh dear!
Ringo Starr: He yawned. He fussed into the school where Cartman was waiting.
Cartman: Hurry up you!
Ringo Starr: Said Cartman.
Mario: Hurry yourself!
Ringo Starr: Replied Mario. Cartman, the proud kid, began making his plan to teach Mario a lesson for teasing him. Almost before the carts had stopped moving, Cartman reverse quickly and was ready.
Cartman: Get in quickly please.
Ringo Starr: He said. Mario usually pushed behind the carts to help them start. But he was always unhooked first. This time, Cartman started so quickly that they forgot to unhook Mario. Cartman's chance had come.
Cartman: Come on, come on.
Ringo Starr: Said Cartman to the carts. They went faster and faster. Too fast for Mario. He wanted to stop, but he couldn't.
Mario: Stop! Stop!
Cartman: Hurry, hurry, hurry!
Ringo Starr: Laughed Cartman.
Carts: You can't get away! You can't get away!
Ringo Starr: Laughed the carts. Poor Mario was going faster than he had ever gone before. He was out of breath and his legs hurt him, but he had to go on.
Mario: I shall never be the same again.
Ringo Starr: He thought sadly.
Mario: My legs shall be quite worn out.
Ringo Starr: At last, they stopped at a station. Mario was unhooked. And he felt very silly and exhausted. Next, he went onto a turntable thinking of everyone laughing at him. And then he went out of the way.
Cartman: Well little Mario.
Ringo Starr: Chuckled Cartman.
Cartman: Now you know what hard work means. Don't you?
Ringo Starr: Poor Mario couldn't answer. He had no breath. He just walked slowly away to rest and had long, long drink.
Mario: Maybe I don't have to tease Cartman to feel important.
Ringo Starr: Mario thought to himself. And he walked slowly home.
