Tarilphin the Bold

Not much is known today about Tarilphin the Bold, but he is considered by the Feldin to be one of the greatest leaders of all time.

[edit] Rise to power

Tarilphin's birthdate and the circumstances surrounding it are uncertain, but it is believed that he was born sometime before 6500 on Feld. In 6522, he emerged as the leader of Feldin Clan Phin and rallied a large following of Feldin who desired a unified Feldin government. They marched to the settlement where the leader of the most powerful Feldin clan, Clan Ilzahin, lived and forced him to relinquish his authority over the clan to Tarilphin. Tarilphin sent a message to all Feldin clan leaders: unite or be destroyed by the extraplanetary threat. Rumors of such an extraplanetary power had circulated for some time among Feldin leaders, and they were afraid that Tarilphin would destroy them with his armies, so much of the clans joined him. Tarilphin was given the title "The Bold" at the Feldin union ceremony in 6525, and the remaining Feldin clan leaders, pressured by their people to join the emerging Feldin nation, soon gave in and became part of Tarilphin's new order. One clan leader refused to join and mysteriously disappeared in 6526.

[edit] Differences in the Feldin Legend

In the original Feldin legend, the Feldin were at war against the Vahalin and Tarilphin claimed that the Feldin would be destroyed by the Vahalin if they did not join him. This is obviously not true as the Feldin would not contact the Vahalin until 7386.

The details of Tarilphin's reign are sketchy, but his greatest achievements were probably improvements in infrastructure. Feldin culture became highly urbanized and centered around a new capital at Tarilphinilst.
