He has been shown to constantly fall asleep, even at the wheel of his car. He is always getting hurt while Dan is getting revenge and when he accompanies him he usually unwillingly commits a crime.

Elise (voiced by Paget Brewster) is Chris's wife. She usually acts as the "voice of reason" and is consequently often annoyed with Dan's antics, though she seldomly tries to stop her husband from helping Dan to get revenge. She will occasionally even help him herself, though this is rare and usually involves personal motives. One instance of her helping was in the pilot episode when she helped him get back at the state of New Mexico, but only because she too held a grudge on the state.

Optimus Prime was reassigned to space bridge repair duty under the supervision of Ratchet. He is a relatively naive and idealistic young leader, prone to long-winded "inspirational" speeches who leads a small and inexperienced Autobot space bridge maintenance team. Recently, his crew has landed on Earth, adopted jobs as semi-official superheroes and currently live in an abandoned Sumdac Systems warehouse.

Bumblebee is the youngest, yellowest, and most energetic of the usual. A hyperactive wisecracker, Bumblebee is quite convinced he's the fastest—and coolest—thing on four wheels. He has a tendency to bite off more than he can chew, so it's a good thing he pals around with the massive Bulkhead. He does not take well to being called short, and his over-eager ways can get on Ratchet's nerves all too easily. Still, Bumblebee is good with people, as evidenced by his fast friendship with Sari Sumdac.

Bulkhead isn't quite your typical mudflap. Oh he really is a big clumsy mountain of a robot with a simple, untutored nature, but scratch that surface and you'll find both surprising depths and a spark of pure gold. Sure, Bulkhead enjoys goofing around with Bumblebee and "smashin' stuff" now and then, but he also has a constructive, artistic side he longs to express. He's loyal to his core and unswervingly dedicated both to doing the right thing, to his friends and to his dreams. For Bulkhead, entering the Autobot boot camp wasn't a road to glory or adventure but a way to reach his dream of becoming a real, honest-to-gosh space bridge technician.

Ratchet was a civilian mechanic, and one of the best on all of Cybertron. But war is hell, and Ratchet learned that all too well. It left him bitter and cynical. After the war, he got himself placed in a dead end position of repairing space bridges, seeing it as a chance to get away from what he had experienced. And in his experience, "hero" is another word for casualty, because that's what most of the heroes ended up being. Still, he knows one when he sees it, and Optimus Prime definitely is one.

Prowl falls into the latter category. A loner at heart, he has little interest in teamwork, something Optimus Prime finds extremely frustrating. Prowl feels cooperation with the loud and unsubtle Autobots around him would cramp his style: a keen Cyber-Ninja prowess with elements of Circuit-Su and Metallikato.

Jazz is a bit of an independent thinker. He's reluctant to disobey orders, but he has more of an appreciation for the finer things than his compatriots. This is evidenced in his better choice of vehicle mode disguise, a "sweet ride" drawn from Earth culture. He is also a Cyber-Ninja, like Prowl, although his training is more progressed. Instead of ninja stars, however, Jazz uses a pair of nunchaku. He seems to be the only one of the Elite Guard willing to learn, and fits in with the Earth team pretty well. Hot Shot is an Autobot under the command of Hawkeye Rodimus Prime. He is a young, inexperienced bot who lives for speed. His quick motion has led him to strive to live life in the fast lane. This usually lands him right in the middle of a battle, carelessly acting without thinking. As a pyromaniac pyrotechnician, his arms can convert into welding torches specialized for construction and repair. But, when duty calls, these tools also come in handy for barbecuing a bunch of no good Decepti-creeps.

Cliffjumper is like Bumblebee and Wasp, but red! He takes care of Sentinel Minor's dirty work.

Wheeljack is, most certainly, a nerdy, geek. But at least he has that robo-goatee working for him.

Rodimus Prime is more than just a high ranking Autobot officer, and he doesn't need a badge to prove it! He is extremely popular amongst some of his fellow Autobot brethren, and has mastered several different combat skills, such as servo-to-servo combat. While he has mastered the use of various defensive weaponry, his personal weapon of choice is his uniquely-designed energy bow. Rodimus is a born leader and strives to become the next Magnus. In battle, He looks out for everyone, including the enemy, thus making him a great ally in battle. War is not a game to him, though outside of battle, he is really a nice guy.

Jetfire is a member of the Cybertron Elite Guard. He and Jetstorm, his twin brother, are adapted from Starscream's code. They can combine to form Safeguard. Jetfire and his brother are the youngest Autobot Elite Guard officers. The twins are the only flying Autobots yet made.

Jetstorm is the twin brother of Jetfire. He and his twin were chosen by the Elite Guard to become Cybertron's first flying Autobots. They are currently the youngest Elite Guard officers in history, having gone through Autobot boot camp in record time. He can merge with his brother to form the powerful combiner Safeguard.

Spike Witwicky is the dedicated husband of Carly and the father of Daniel and Nancy Witwicky. He can often be seen with his wife and/or son. He or his wife or both of them are employed at Sumdac Systems. He has passed his impeccable fashion sense on to his son. He tends to get quite agitated when he sees that an ambulance is driving itself. Particularly if he's riding in it at the time. Crazy organics.

Carly Witwicky is the loving wife of Spike and the mother of Daniel. She can often be seen with her husband and/or son. She or her husband, both, are employed at Sumdac Systems. She has to have the talk with Daniel soon, as he's got a new baby sister.

Daniel Witwicky is a delightful little moppet in an outfit Bootsy Collins wouldn't be caught dead in. He is the son of Spike and Carly. His mother or father works for Isaac Sumdac, which means he has to be Sari's friend. He is easily upset by berserk warbots thrashing innocent reporter robots. Go figure.

Nancy Witwicky is the baby of Witwicky family. She is the younger sibling of Daniel Witwicky.

Sparkplug Witwicky is a human miner who works for Issac Sumdac. In "Nature Calls", Sparkplug Witwicky was overseeing two construction bots in a mine, being paid by Isaac Sumdac to find something. Only problem was, that something found them...and it had friends (space barnacles). Sparkplug was attacked, and was presumed dead. In "Sari, No One's Home", while the Autobots were looking for Scrapper and Mixmaster, the Autobot Bumblebee thought that Sparkplug Witwicky's truck was Mixmaster, and fired several bursts from his stingers, which did nothing to damage the truck. Upon being attacked by another alien lifeform, Sparkplug displayed both calmness and familiarity with modern slang by asking "Dude, why you whaling on my truck?" after Bumblebee's attack. In "Three's a Crowd", Sparkplug Witwicky drove an oil tanker and got mugged by the Constructicons.

Arcee was a teacher, dedicated to the values of information and truth. She saw to it that the younger Autobots she taught were able to see the value of facts and tell truth from lies. During the War, however, she signed up as an information courier.

Captain Carmine Fanzone is the apparent head of the Detroit police department. He hates machines, but in an "I'm old" sort of way rather than being evil or anything. However, despite his oft-repeated mantra of "This is why I hate machines/robots" whenever some device in his vicinity goes on the fritz (often with comedic, embarrassing results), he's pragmatic enough to make use of technology when needed. For example, he's a world champion at yelling at subordinates through megaphones for added effect. And firing heavy weaponry at rampaging robots.

Sari Sumdac, the daughter of robotics genius Isaac Sumdac, doesn't get out much. She spends all her time within her father's laboratories, receiving her education from robots. Despite this, she doesn't seem like a shut-in. She's curious, excitable, adventurous, and knows that crying can sometimes get her what she wants. She just doesn't know what it's like to be around other kids. She also goes to sleep with her usual clothes. Fortunately, she has Bumblebee and Bulkhead to help with that, and she claims that Bee is the best friend she's ever had. In fact, she's become very possessive of all her robotic friends.
