The GangAdded by The Gang
Terry Mulrenin is one of the founding members of The Gang. While collaborating with Mike Paprocki on the creative end of things, Terry has spent most of his time in front of the camera. Over time, he has found himself in most of the major starring roles for The Gang's movies, and for better or worse, he is recognized by most fans as the face of Gang Entertainment (as well as self-proclaimed "ladies man").

Before The Gang Edit

Terrence Michael Mulrenin was born November 16th, 1984 at Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn, Illinois. He lived in Burbank, IL for the first five years of his life with his parents, Donna and Thomas, and later his two younger siblings, Eileen and Jacob. The Mulrenin family moved to Evergreen Park in 1989 just in time for Terry to start school at Southeast Elementary.

As A Character Edit

Like most of The Gang, Terry often simply plays himself in the movies.

In The GangverseEdit

The GangAdded by The Gang
The "character" of Terry as portrayed in The Gang's original movies is more or less based on the real deal. Terry is introduced in Doin' Stuff as a member of The Gang and close friend to Mike and Pappas. Though The Gang has never had any leadership structure (preferring to keep everyone equally involved in the group's activities), Terry is presented as the alpha male of the group, so to speak. He is portrayed as cockier and more outgoing, though sometimes to the point of foolishness. His confidence never wavers though, even as his friends discover his declining living conditions (his house moves from a fire hydrant to a rock to a piece of cheese). He is also portrayed as quick tempered, as shown by his ability to go into a murderous "rage" when someone calls him an idiot. However, he remains unable to defeat his wrestling rival, Ben Palacios, in a match.

Along with a strange obsession involving bananas, Terry has a secret identity that is pretty much just himself only wearing sunglasses. The movie depicts an alternate future where Doin' Stuff (after being re-produced by Paramount Pictures) brings peace to the world and makes The Gang filthy rich, allowing Terry to move from his house on a rock to a house on a slightly bigger rock.

Terry teams up with Mike for more foiling and toiling in Doin' Stuff 2, leading a misguided hunt for the mythical Blair Pappas. His adventures with the rest of The Gang continue in Doin' Stuff 3, where he takes a savage beating from Jay (something he's pretty much endured since they were children) and takes a ride with Pappas to Mike's house.

In The Search for Pappas, Terry is on vacation with his family when the Dark Gang makes it's move to replace the real Gang. While Mike, Jay, Ben and Oster search for the missing Pappas, Terry is kidnapped and tossed in the back of Jay's car, leaving the Dark Terry to take his place in returning to Evergreen Park. He is eventually rescued by Mike and Jay and, after finding the real Pappas, defeats his doppleganger in a dance-off.

Following the events of The Search, Terry goes away to Western Illinois University for a year, occasionally returning in Doin' Stuff 4 for a pointless gun battle against his brother Jake or to threaten Mike with knocking over his precious toys. While away at college, Terry attended countless wild parties that involved his computer, techno music, and frozen waffles.

In The Gang Wars, Terry returns from college only to be ambushed by his high school buddies (Ben, Erik and Kevin) who had been brainwashed by the Council of Elders. Terry is captured and thrown into the Council's prison along with Mike. Luckily, Mike's new friends from UIC infiltrate the Council's HQ and bust them out, leaving them free to save the rest of The Gang from the Council's army of destruction.

After slapping Vicky's ass in Doin' Stuff 5, Terry continued to relish his perfect, problemless life while watching Mike and his friends struggle to make it through UIC's moving image program. He would join them on random occasions, such as their space trip to Europa and their attempt to recruit new actors into The Gang. Terry would also compete in the Boneless Olympics (and be the first to fall out of the race), and join Pappas and Jay on a Guy High.

When Mike, Tyler and Joey had to begin filming their senior thesis project, "Viral Video," Terry was recruited to help out. However, having no stake in the film's success (seeing as he didn't go to UIC), he became increasingly distracted on the set and was all-too-often found goofing around with Tyler rather than contributing to the production. This contributed to the growing friction between all of them, and when "Viral Video" was declared an utter failure, The Gang was expelled from UIC and officially disbanded.

The GangAdded by The Gang
A year later, Terry was running a small, yet lucrative independent film enterprise out of his parents' basement. Mike and Tyler arrived during the filming of his latest "documentary" with an offer from Stalker Dude to join the crew of Shenmue IV. With nothing better to do, Terry agreed. However, he quickly fell to his old ways of goofing off on set, which kept him and Mike at odds. When the Council of Elders suggested they sabotage the production as a means of escaping, The Gang was able to use the very same problems they'd been having with each other to carry out the plan. Though they escaped succesfully, Terry and Mike almost immediately blew up at each other and went their separate ways again. Terry was prepared to put it all behind him when Mike called him to their old schoolyard to talk things over. Having finally buried the hatchet, Terry and Mike joined Tyler in rescuing Joey. It would be Terry who finally defeated Stalker Dude, realizing that once he had converted himself into video, all he had to do was eject the tape. Reunited once more, The Gang decided to release Shenmue IV after all. The Council of Elders attended the premiere party and presented Mike, Tyler, Joey and Terry with honorary film degrees from UIC.

Now that he had graduated college (without even really going to college), Terry (determined not to be outdone by Mike and his new apartment with Joey) decided to get an apartment and move in with his word-association competitor, Pappas. Little did he realize that living with Pappas would cause their apartment to be thrown into a spatial anomaly - one that causes anyone who enters to be sucked into their weird universe. Most recently, Terry emerged from the apartment to compete with Mike and Tyler for Kelly's affection in an attempt to keep her from getting married and moving to Canada.

In Viral VideoEdit

The GangAdded by The Gang
Terry's character, though still somewhat based on the original's personality, is radically different in Viral Video than in the regular Gangverse. In this alternate universe, Terry is an ex-member of the Council of Elders who has gone rogue. After working with the Council for years to destroy the threat of viral videos on the internet, Terry came to the conclusion that not all these videos were destructive or revolutionary - most were just funny. Terry decided to abandon the Council and start a rebellion against them. He singles out 3 of the Council's victims (Mike, Joey and Tyler) to be his first recruits.

Terry contacts Mike, Joey and Tyler and informs them about their past and leaks one of their old videos to prove his point. He sets out training the three in the ways of Power Reality and stupid humor, trying to restore their personalities to before they were brainwashed into video artists. He is unable to stop them from setting out to regain their memories on their own, and is too late to prevent a confrontation with the Elder's chief of security, Rex. Luckily, Terry arrives to find the three triumphant and with their memories restored. He continues to work from the shadows to guide Mike, Tyler and Joey in their battle against the Council.
