The Curse of the Were-Engine is a thirteenth episode of Thomas' Railway Adventures.
Plotline
The engines go trick or treat. However, James becomes a Were-Engine and plans to ruin the engines' trick or teating. It's up to Thomas to stop James before James ruins the trick or treating.

Transcript
Narrator: It is nearly Halloween on the Island of Sodor. The engines are going trick-or-treating, except for James. One foggy night, James was sulking in the shed. Sometimes, when he was sulking, he would complain about Halloween. At that moment Thomas came by.
James: I'm tired to going trick-or-treating.
Thomas: Do I want to tell some scary stories?
James: No thank you.
Thomas: Every night, an engine turned into a Were Engine. He is more powerful than his original form. The trucks behave well because the Were Engine scares them.
James: Pah! There's no Were Engines.
Eagle: Yes, there is.
Donald: Were Engines are scary. Thay get rid of trick-or-treaters.
Douglas: We don't like them.
Gordon: They're scary and strong.
James: I don't like Were-Engines. They're scary.
Narrator: James puffed away from the shed.
Henry: James is a scaredy engine.
Narrator: James snorted away. Donald and Douglas enjoyed some nice sleep. James didn't like it. The next morning, the engines awoke up and puffed to find their trains.
Eagle: Were-Engines, James.
James: No I did not!
Narrator: That evening, James puffed through the forest, complaining about trick-or-treaters. An little K2 tank engine puffed past.
Little Tank Engine: Trick-or-Treat!
James: Go away!
Little Tank Engine: Don't you want trick-or-treating?
Narrator: James didn't like trick-or-treating at all. Sometimes he would get rid of trick-or-treaters. At Tidmouth Shed, James was talking to Thomas and Percy about Were-Engines.
James: I didn't like Were-Engines.
Percy: They scare you.
Thomas: I'm afraid of Were-Engines.
Emily: They'll destroy you.
Rosie: They're scary.
James: No! I'm a red engine. I'm not scared.
Narrator:' James puffed out of the shed. Gordon steamed by with the Express.
Gordon: Hello, James!
James: Gordon, I don't like trick-or-treaters.
Gordon: Halloween is always for trick-or-treaters.
Narrator: James talked to Gordon about Were-Engines. Later, Henry puffed with a goods train. The Troublesome Trucks chattered, giggled and laughed.
Troublesome Trucks: {singing} Scaredy Engines. Scaredy Engines.
Narrator: Dennis was a diesel who taunt by Diesel.
Diesel: You never fail, Dennis.
Dennis: What are you talking about?
Diesel: Were-Engines are scary.
Narrator: James puffed in with a long train of coaches.
Diesel: Well, it's rusty red scrap iron.
Dennis: No, it's not.
James: I'll be a Were-Engine. I'll scary you!
Narrator: Dennis was cross because he was taunted by Diesel.
Dennis: Diesel is a scaredy diesel.
Narrator: Later, Toby puffed along with his vintage train. Murdoch was with James.
Murdoch: James, it's such a Were-Engine.
Toby: Murdoch and James, I like trick-or-treating.
Murdoch: Just about Were-Engines.
James: Were-Engines, I don't like Were-Engines.
Narrator: James stormed off with his train. Suddenly when the moon fully appeared, James went a hideous transformation. {James turns into a monstrous 2-6-0 tender engine.} James howled and puffed away, leaving his coaches behind. Later at the shed, Eagle, Dennis and Neville
Eagle: I will never see an Were-Engine again.
Narrator: James growled at Eagle. {Eagle whistles loudly, awakening Dennis and Neville up.} Dennis and Neville were alarmed. Dennis hit the wall in the back of the shed. {Dennis runs into a shed support.} Neville fell into a turntable well. James howled and puffed away. The engines were trick-or-treating. Thomas and Percy were planning to stop James.
Percy: When James comes, you have to stop him.
Thomas: Right, Percy.
Emily: Hello, Donald and Douglas. Great party.
Narrator: James puffed in. He could see the trick-or-treating engines. He steamed in and could ruin the party. Thomas had stopped James for ruining the party. The engines gasped and screamed. Thomas realized that James was the Were-Engine. But he wasn't the Were-Engine at all. James was an original red engine.
Rosie: Hey, that's not a Were-Engine. That's James.
Edward: He wasn't a Were-Engine at all.
Narrator: The engines could laughed and James wasn't the Were-Engine anymore.
