The Elite, formerly known as The Black Knights, is a heel stable that was first made after CWMania 2016.

INVADING WWE

On The September 22nd 2017 edition of Collision Course, after The Black Knights attacked Goku and Star Butterfly, their leader Cody Atlantis cut a rant promo, which ended with him stating that they will do something no one will see coming and will cause "big-time controversey."

The following week on September 25th, The Black Knights (consisting of Cody Atlantis, Brandi Atlantis, Morbidia, The Young Bucks, Marty Scrull, Adam Page, Gateaux, Kenny Omega / Chameleon, Low Ki, Davey Richards, "Lone Ranger" Magnus, Douglas Williams / Wuya, Chris Kirkman / Calypso, Beth Tezuka, Zack Sabre Jr., Eddie Kingston / Freelance, Bram, Wallow, and Rockstar Spud) appeared outside the parking lot of the Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario California, where WWE's Monday Night RAW was taking place. They stated that an invasion was about to happen in order to rescue former CW superstars Finn Balor ("The Claw" Fergal Devitt in the CW), Luke "DOC" Gallows, and Karl Anderson and attack their former leaders The Hardy Boyz (Jeff & Matt Hardy) as well as Kurt Angle, who was RAW GM at the time. The invasion was similar to DX's invasion of WCW back in 1998.

Later that night on RAW, during the main event pitting The Hardy Boyz, Finn Balor, and Lou Jackson against Goldust, Jason Jordan, Roman Reigns, and The Miz, The Black Knights hijacked the show and attacked all the superstars, commentators, referees, camera men, and producers as well as destroying the ringside and equipment, similar to what Nexus did back in 2010. They then proceeded to trash the backstage area and continue their attack on all the superstars and WWE personnel before kidnapping Finn Balor, Luke Gallows, and Karl Anderson and putting them in the trunk of their limbo. After Cody peformed the Cross-Rhodes on Kurt Angle, The Black Knights escaped in their limbo, leaving RAW in ruins from the attack.

  • Fake Steven Universe / Quartastico / ZZ Loupe (Was forced to join on the May 19th 2017 Collision Course after Tyrus defeated Steven Universe, per stipulation that if Steven lost, he would be forced to join the stable for at least 2 weeks. Though a member, Steven is still a face and is still cheered by the fans. Later betrayed the group on the June 2nd 2017 Collision Course after turning on Cody Atlantis during a tag team match between them and The Crystal Gems. However later that night, he rejoined the group and became a full fledged member after turning on Goku and Chi-Chi during a confrontation between him and Toffee. As a result, Steven is now a heel in the process, and he cemented his heel status when he and The Black Knights attacked Goku and Chi-Chi as well as The Crystal Gems and Connie (who both came out for the save) until Bulma, The Z Fighters, Naruto, Gon Freecss, Star Butterfly, Marco Diaz, Rey Mysterio, Evan Bourne, Clarence, and The Powerpuff Girls made the save. Because of this turn, Universe ditched his Crystal gems look and went for a more gothic medievel look, even going so far as to burning his Crystal Gem clothes and declaring that Steven Universe is dead forever. On the October 20th Collision Course however, the real Steven Universe, who was out after suffering a severe concussion in late April 2017, returned and confronted the Fake Steven Universe / Quartastico after his match with Lincoln Loud. It was later revealed that Quartastico / Fake Steven Universe is Tough Enough's ZZ Loupe in disguise)

  • Clarence Wendle (Joined at WarGames 2017 by helping Cody Atlantis retain the CW Heavyweight Champion against Goku, Star Butterfly, and John Morrison. This was Clarence's 2nd heel turn as well as his return from a foot injury he suffered in June 2017)
  • Colt Cabana (Joined on the October 13th 2017 edition of Collision Course after turning on Grado before their tag team match against The Young Bucks before joining The Young Bucks, Cody Atlantis, and the rest of The Elite in attacking Grado before Matt Sydal, Webby Vanderquack, and KO made the save for Grado. It all began on the September 22nd Collision Course when Colt mistakenly accused Grado for burning his kendo sticks, and refused to be friends or fight alongside with him, as shown in WarGames when he let him and Grado get defeated by Christopher Daniels and Kazarian. On the October 6th edition of Collision Course, it was revealed that it was Marty Scrull who burned the Kendo Sticks, as shown in security camera footage presented by Jeff Jarrett. The 2 reconciled in the process, until the following week when Colt turned on Grado, revealing that he and Scrull were always friends and that they planned the kendo stick burning incident, with Cabana calling Grado a "useless **bleep** of a human being" and that the fans who support Grado, Goku, and The CW Heroes can stick it, thus ending their friendship permanently and becoming a full fledged heel in the process, though it wasn't the first time he turned heel)
  • Alberto Del Rio (Joined at Halloween Havoc 2017 by attacking Lincoln Loud just as he was about to cash in his MITB Briefcase on CW Heavyweight Champion Cody Atlantis)
  • Connie Maheswaran (Joined at SuperBrawl 2017 after betraying Steven Universe by hitting him with the steel chair, just as she and Steven were about to perform the final phase of the Stevonnie Finisher onto Cody Atlantis. This allowed Cody Atlantis to pin Steven Universe for the win, retaining his CW Heavyweight Championship. It all begun when the real Steven Universe returned on the October 20th Collision Course, when Connie left him and refused to believe that she is the real Steven. On the November 3rd Collision Course however, Steven saved Connie from an attack by The Elite and Fake Steven Universe. This allowed Connie to realize that she was saved by the real Steven and they reunited and reconciled in the process, until SuperBrawl when Connie turned on Steven. On the December 1st Collision Course, Connie defended her actions, stating that she never wanted any friends or fans in the first place and that she was gonna go after all young CW Superstars and take them out one by one. After her heel promo, Steven came out and wanted an explanation for her betraying him, but Cody Atlantis came behind with a steel chair and attacked Steven. Connie then announced that Cody Atlantis and The Elite were her only and true friends, and that she never wanted Steven in the first place. Cody and Connie continued to attack Steven until The Crystal Gems, Star Butterfly, Marco Diaz, Lincoln Loud, and Matt Sydal made the save. However, they were attacked and overwhelmed by the rest of The Elite, and the attack was finished off when Connie spit in Steven's face before Cody performed the Cross-Trident on him with the same steel chair Connie used to turn on him. This cemented herself as a full-fledged monster heel and a full-fledged member of The Elite)
