The Great Escape is the 29th episode of Season 4 of Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends. Originally aired in January 8, 1996.

Plot

BoCo is at Elsbridge when Stepney arrives carrying Rusty on a flatbed. Rusty tells BoCo how he saved Stepney from the scrapyards. Later that night, BoCo is at the other railway's scrapyard and is just about to leave when he hears a whisper, and it came from this old bus called Gary who had escaped from scrap but had run out of gas. BoCo finds a flatbed and his driver puts Gary on it. It is morning when he arrives back at Elsbridge. Rusty, Stepney, Thomas and The Fat Controller are there and The Fat Controller tells BoCo is a really useful diesel and that Gary can be the bus to Elsbridge, BoCo is happy and Gary is Grateful.
