  • George: All right!
  • Kevin: Mariachi Day is here!
  • Ash: I can hardly wait!
  • Gary: So do I!
  • Helen: Ah knew Manolo and friends are comin' ta visit us!
  • Sara: And look, zere zey are right now!
  • (Manolo, Joaquin, Maria, La Muerte, Xibalba and The Candle Maker arrive)
  • Manolo: Hola, amigos!
  • Joaquin: It's been a pleasure to help.
  • Brock and Bonnie: (blushing together) Maria!
  • Maria: What brings you two to Mariachi Day?
  • Brock: (as he and Bonnie propose to Maria) Just a perfect date for you and me!
  • Bonnie: Don't forget to marry Clemont, cause he's my biggest brother ever!
  • (But then, Brock's Croagunk uses its Poison Jab on him and Bonnie)
  • Brock: OW! THAT HURTS!
  • Bonnie: I FEEL PAINFUL!
  • (They both fall face first to the floor, and Croagunk drags them away while chortling)
  • Mikey: Is that a Croagunk?
  • Timmy: Gee, you're right about it.
  • (Moments later, The Conductors appear, dressed in Mariachi clothing)
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Happy Mariachi Day, everyone!
  • Kuzco: Hi, Mr. Conductors 1, 2 and 3!
  • Kronk: We've wanted a talent show for Meilin and her friends.
  • Mr. Conductor 3: That's right, Kronk. We all have to do it right away!
  • Randy: Yes!
  • Howard: Do you remember Toby?
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Yes, Howard. He faced a fierce thunderstorm. Let me explain.
  • (He blows his whistle and Toby and The Flood starts)
  • Mr. Conductor 2: It had been raining hard for weeks. Toby was feeling miserable. Everywhere was wet, wet, wet. His branch line runs to a village. The water and the river had risen with the rain. Only the great wall known as a dam was stopping the water from overflowing. Percy arrived just as Toby was about to inspect the dam for any damage.
  • Percy: Driver tells me it may be dangerous up there. Please be careful, Toby.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Said Percy.
  • Toby: I'll try.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Replied Toby bravely. Percy watched anxiously as Toby trundled away. His journey took him over a wooden bridge at the end of the village. The river surged dangerously beneath it. Harold the Helicopter was inspecting the dam as Toby arrived.
  • Toby's Driver: Be brave Toby.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Called his Driver.
  • Toby's Driver: We had to cross to the other side.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: The dam did not look safe at all. Toby was very worried. Soon, he knew why.
  • Toby's Driver: The dam's breaking up! We must warn everyone!
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Toby shunted back as fast as his wheels would let him. Percy was waiting anxiously for Toby by the bridge. The river had risen so high that the bridge was in danger of collapsing.
  • Toby's Driver: The dam's breaking up. We must find high ground.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Shouted Toby's driver.
  • Percy: Your only chance is to cross the bridge.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Called Percy.
  • Toby: It doesn't look safe to me.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Wailed Toby.
  • Toby's Driver: It's our only chance.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Said his driver.
  • Toby's Driver: If the dam breaks, we'll be done for!
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Toby was halfway across the bridge when disaster struck.
  • (The dam breaks apart)
  • Toby: Help!
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Called Toby.
  • Percy's Driver: We'll follow him on our line. It needs the river further down.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: As Toby floated helplessly on the floodwaters, they passed a sign that made them shudder: Beware The Waterfall.
  • Toby's Driver: If we go over that waterfall, we're doomed.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Then they saw Harold who swopped low and shouted urgently to them.
  • Harold: We're going to drop a rope to you. Attach it to yourself, quickly now!
  • Mr. Conductor 2: And they did, to one of Toby's buffers. Just then, Percy arrived. Harold flew over to him.
  • Harold: Catch a rope and pull Toby to safety!
  • Mr. Conductor 2: He called. Toby was safe at last. When the floods were over and the dam mended, the villagers had a big party for Toby, hosted by Sir Topham Hatt.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: You were very brave, Toby.
  • Toby: Thanks to Harold.
  • Percy: I could never been so brave, Toby.
  • Toby: Oh, I'm sure you would be, but you never know till you tried.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Percy rather hope he never had to.
  • (Toby and The Flood ends)
  • Mr. Conductor 2: So that's how an old fashioned tram engine can face the storm.
  • Todd: Cool!
  • Jacobo: You'd be leaving, huh?
  • The Conductors: Yep!
  • (The Conductors vanish)
  • Meilin: Can I go first? Please?
  • Manolo: Certainly.
  • Joaquin: The show has just begun.
  • (We transit to the experimental theater, and Julie, Theresa, and Ann arrive with Jonny K.)
  • Jonny K.: And Action!
  • Julie: This is Julie Kane reporting for YTV News, and at my side are Theresa Radcliffe and Ann Gora.
  • Theresa: We are here live at the Upper Redwood High's theater, where a Mariachi contest is to be held.
  • Ann: So let's give it a hand to La Muerte, Xibalba and The Candle Maker.
  • (Everyone claps and cheers as La Muerte and her friends enter the stage)
  • La Muerte: Welcome one and all to the annual Mariachi contest!
  • Xibalba: We are so proud to have you in shape.
  • Uncle Jonathan: I can hardly feel myself in heaven.
  • Aunt Nora: Me, too.
  • Candle Maker: First up: You Didn't Know How To Love Her, by Meilin Rae!
  • (Everyone claps and cheers as Meilin, dressed in Skills USA clothing, sings You Didn't Know How To Love Her)
  • Meilin: (singing) It isn't easy to go on if you're close It's the traps that life always has for you To hell with braggarts and their lies You didn't have pity on my pain You knew that my love wasn't on sale The moon and the stars were enough Beauty is temporary if it's on the outside It's on the inside that you find love You didn't know how to love her You needed to understand When you love, you have to give your life And it's not enough to pretend You didn't know how to love her And you had her on your feet That love, when it's based on lies It not only cheats, but also hurts you and makes you see That you didn't know how to love her.
  • (You Didn't Know How To Love Her ends as Meilin delivers a curtsy)
  • Meilin: (as she throws off her high heels) Now, I'm talking!
  • Gary: (as he hands Meilin the bouquet of flowers, a heart box of chocolates and a stuffed bear) Here's a gift.
  • Meilin: Really?
  • Gary: And a surprise.
  • (He kisses her on the lips)
  • Meilin: (blushing) Thank you.
  • Candle Maker: Second song, That Is His Business by Mitchie O'Hara and Amethyst Giger!
  • (Everyone claps and cheers as Mitchie and Amethyst, also in Skills USA clothing, sing That Is His Business)
  • Mitchie: (singing the first verse) They ask me that if we are lovers. That if we are friends that if you come into my house, that if I open the door for him that if he sleep with me ... Why do they care about it?(1) does that hurts them? (2) that's my problem if I'm his lover ... or I'm just his friend ....
  • Amethyst: (singing the second verse) That they have never seen him. Because it comes at night that where he cames from,(3) what kind of job he does? that what is his name?... Even if they don't believe it I'm going to be quite frank those things that they ask me... I would like to know them also ...
  • Both: We just know that we're in love with them, and with him I feel like another woman and in his arms, his love and his skin they lit up my being that is the reason why, whoever he is, I still with him he is my man and do not want to lose him and I do not care if he have another woman ... That is his business(*)
  • (Mariachi interlude)
  • Mitchie: That they have never seen them. Because it comes at night that where he cames from,(3) what kind of job he does? that what is his name? ...
  • Amethyst: Even if you don't believe it we're going to be quite frank those things that you ask me... I would like to know them also ...
  • Both: We just know that we're in love with them, and with him I feel like another woman and in his arms, his love and his skin they lit up my being that is the reason why, whoever he is, I still with him he is my man and do not want to lose him and I do not care if you have another woman ... That is his business (that is a thing of him*)
  • (That Is His Business ends as Mitchie and Amethyst make their curtsies)
  • Mitchie: (as she and Amethyst throw off their high heels) I'm glad that's a hit!
  • Amethyst: Me, too!
  • Scott: (as he and Arnold arrive) Yo, Mitch!
  • Arnold: Long time no see, Amethyst!
  • Mitchie and Amethyst: (both heart-eyed) It's you two!
  • Scott: (hands Mitchie the bouquet of flowers) Here's a reward for you.
  • Mitchie: Ah, thanks.
  • Arnold: (hands Amethyst the bouquet of flowers) And another for a Nerdy girl.
  • Amethyst: Yes!
  • Scott: And another surprise.
  • Arnold: Just once!
  • (They dip their girlfriends and kiss their lips)
  • Candle Maker: Final song, I Am The Adventurer, sung by Dexter.
  • (Everyone claps and cheers as Dexter, dressed in Skills USA clothing, sings I Am The Adventurer)
  • Dexter: (singing) Ay laralá, ay laralá Ay laralá, ay laralá Ay laralá, ay laralá Ay laralá, ay laralá I am the adventurer The world matters to me little When a woman pleases me Pleases me in spite of everything I like the tall ones and the small ones The thin ones, the fat ones and the tiny ones Single ones and widows and divorcees The little darlings with pretty faces enchant me And for that reason I come here Singing with my song I am the adventurer Pure heart Ay laralá …. Stop the music! The world matters little to me I make of myself what I want I am honest and a good friend The spree goer most sincere I play cards and know how to go on a spree It’s the same whether I drink tequila or mescal Pulquito the same also as champaign The same whether I dance a tango or a waltz Also a jarabe or some cha-cha. I am the adventurer And to my fathers-in-law I answer That if they bring their little girls Look out for them or I will not answer for it Ay laralá... I am the adventurer The world matters to me little When a woman pleases me Pleases me in spite of everything I like the tall ones and the small ones The thin ones, the fat ones and the tiny ones The little darlings with pretty faces enchant me I like the mothers-in-law who are not jealous The little darlings a bit slippery Who may have brothers who aren’t jealous Who may have boyfriends with silly faces I like life, love enchants me I am the spree going adventurer. And for that reason I have the soul Of a troubadour and a bohemian I am the adventurer Good afternoon and we’ll see each other over there. Ay laralá …. I am the adventurer.
  • (I Am The Adventurer ends)
  • Dexter: Woo! I am the victor!
  • Major Glory: He did it!
  • Valhallen: That was so radical!
  • Krunk: Krunk, too!
  • (The Conductors appear)
  • Mr. Conductor 1: This Mariachi concert is a hit!
  • Timon: Why yes, Conductors.
  • Pumbaa: It's all a success, too!
  • Mr. Conductor 3: Yes, Pumbaa, it's true.
  • Ed: Everything's amazing!
  • Edd: Do you remind us of Rusty?
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Of course, Double D. He faced his worst nightmare yet. Let me explain.
  • (He blows his whistle and Rusty and The Boulder starts)
  • Mr. Conductor 2: On the Island of Sodor, high up in the mountains was a mysterious boulder. It had stood alone for a long time. But one day, workmen arrived to build a quarry on the land below. Rusty the Little Diesel met Thomas and Percy.
  • Percy: Where's all this rock coming from?
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Percy asked.
  • Rusty: The new quarry.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Replied Rusty.
  • Rusty: This mountain rock is good for many things, although it's dangerous up there.
  • Thomas: Why?
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Asked Thomas.
  • Rusty: Because of a big boulder. I think it's watching me.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Said Rusty nervously.
  • Percy: How can it be? Boulders don't have eyes.
  • Rusty: Well, Percy, there's something strange about this one.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Just then, Edward arrived. He was delivering a new piece of machinery from the quarry.
  • Rusty: What's that?
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Asked Rusty.
  • Edward: It's called Thumper. Apparently it helps collect the rock faster.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Replied Edward. Soon, Thumper was working hard. The men were pleased, but no one bothered to check the boulder. When it rained, the workmen went away. Rusty gazed up and shivered. Above stood Boulder. Suddenly, a large slab of rock landed on the rails. Rusty was shocked, driver was concerned.
  • Rusty's Driver: We best leave till the weather's better. The rain loosens some of this rock.
  • Rusty: I think it's Boulder wanting us to go away.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: The next day, the sun shone. Thumper was working harder than ever. Suddenly, Rusty noticed something.
  • Rusty: Boulder's moving!
  • Rusty's Driver: Don't be so daft, it can't.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Said the driver. But it could.
  • Rusty: It's rolling along our line.
  • Rusty's Driver: We'll stop here until Boulder passes by.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Said the driver. But Boulder was nowhere to be seen. Then...
  • Rusty's Driver: Oh, no. It's behind us.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Just ahead, they saw a small junction. One line went uphill. Boulder thundered past. Meanwhile, Skarloey was making his way up to the quarry. Then, he saw Boulder.
  • Skarloey: Help!
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Boulder was catching up fast.
  • Skarloey: We must warn the yards!
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Shouted Skarloey.
  • Rusty: Yes, but how?
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Called Rusty. Boulder rounded a bend and there ahead was Rheneas.
  • Rheneas: It's running loose!
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Yelled Rheneas. His driver drove him back as fast as he could.
  • Rheneas' Driver: Hurry!
  • (Rheneas races away from Boulder and crashes into a bunker)
  • Rheneas' Driver: Better a smashed than a squashed.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Sighed his driver. At the yards, Percy was collecting trucks. Then, he heard Boulder.
  • Percy: Oh, no. Heading straight for me.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Squeaked Percy.
  • (Boulder crashes into the sheds, creating a massive explosion)
  • Mr. Conductor 2: When Sir Topham Hatt inspected the damage, he decided to close the mine. Then, he looked at Boulder.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: We should have left this part of the island alone.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: They moved Boulder to a hill close by the yards. Rusty is sure that on a clear night, it is gazing up at the mountain and that its size are being carried by the wind to where it once used to stand proud and silent. I wonder if Rusty is right, don't you?
  • (Rusty and The Boulder ends)
  • Mr. Conductor 2: So that's how worst nightmares can be tricky.
  • Tai: You're right.
  • Matt: You'd be leaving, huh?
  • The Conductors: Yep!
  • (The Conductors vanish)
  • La Muerte: And the winner of this year's Mariachi show goes to...
  • (Drums roll, then stop)
  • Xibalba: Meilin Rae!
  • Meilin: Yahoo!
  • Mel: She won?
  • Zoe: That's awesome!
  • Malinda: We're so proud of you, pal!
  • Teodora: You rock!
  • Meilin: Ah, thank you!
  • (But then, Jigglypuff appears on stage)
  • Jigglypuff: Jigglypuff!
  • (Everyone in Upper Redwood High gasps)
  • Meilin: What the scallop?!
  • Mitchie and Amethyst: It's Jigglypuff!
  • Dexter: How'd it get there?!
  • (Jigglypuff pulls out a microphone)
  • Rabbit: Don't tell me it's going to sing!
  • Principal Slimovitz: Hold it, please!
  • (But Jigglypuff has already started singing through its microphone, putting everyone under a sleepy spell)
  • Ralph: (drowsy) Maybe a nap will soothe us.
  • Cole: (also drowsy) Yeah.
  • (Everyone in Upper Redwood High falls asleep to the floor)
  • Jigglypuff: (stops singing) Jiggly?
  • (All the residents of Upper Redwood High are napping, including The Conductors and Friends)
  • Jigglypuff: (angered) Jiggly!
  • (Jigglypuff pulls out a black marker and proceeds to draw on everyone's faces off-screen, concluding the episode)
  • (While the end credits roll, the DuckTales theme song plays)
  • Chorus: Life is like a hurricane Here in Duckberg Race cars, lasers, aeroplanes It's a duck-blur! Might solve a mystery Or rewrite history! DuckTales! Woo-oo! Tales of derring-do Bad and good luck tales! D-d-d-danger! Lurks behind you! There's a stranger out to find you What to do, just grab on to some... DuckTales! Woo-oo! Tales of derring-do Bad and good luck tales! Woo-oo! Not pony tales or captain tales, no DuckTales! Woo-oo!
