The Power Station was a kids radio project created by Peter White in 1988 and involved children from the Stanwix area of Carlisle in the United Kingdom.
All involved in the project would contribute to radio programmes, original music tracks, magazines and even television programmes.
It started as a radio station called Radio PRS. The shows were put to tape for a few years until 1991 when the station became known as The Power Station. From that point on shows were broadcast locally on 91.6FM or 89.9FM, usually on a Sunday.
Over the years The Power Station created hundreds of different music acts - many of which were fictional side projects of creator Peter White
