Alec Baldwin: The little Springfieldians were busy clearing their route of leaves and broken branches. Martin and Reverend Lovejoy often work together. One day, Reverend Lovejoy helped Martin to a water fountain. Martin felt much better after his long drink, but the robots were bored.
Robots: Let's break away.
Alec Baldwin: Their loads were heavy and the ropes old. One broke!
Robots: Faster! Faster!
Alec Baldwin: Shouted the robots. A sign read 'Slow steep bends and ravine ahead', but the silly robots never saw it. Then, it was too late. Martin arrived at the scene of the disaster. Henry sighed.
Henry: This was our fault. We didn't secure them properly. We'll have to get help to pull them out. Stan Marsh will be very annoyed. And, he was.
Stan Marsh: You will work in the yards until I can trust you again.
Alec Baldwin: Nelson was delighted with Martin's dilemma.
Nelson: Fancy not securing your robots on a hill. They'll come back to spook you and your brainy head. Whoo!
Reverend Lovejoy: And who's to say you're not afraid of ghosts?
Alec Baldwin: Snapped Reverend Lovejoy.
Nelson: Ghosts? Things that go bump in the night? Rubbish!
Reverend Lovejoy: Well I'll tell you a story that will make your head quiver.
Alec Baldwin: Reverend Lovejoy said.
Reverend Lovejoy: A long time ago, a boy was returning home. It was a misty moonlit night. Suddenly, the boy lost control and plunged over the side into the swamps below. He was never found again. But many of workmen will tell you that when the moon is full, they have seen the boy trying to get home, but he never reaches the other side. So what do you think of that, Nelson?
Alec Baldwin: Said Nelson.
Reverend Lovejoy: Never mind him, Martin. He'd be frightened if he really saw a ghost.
Alec Baldwin: This gave Henry an idea.
Henry: Let's play a trick on Nelson.
Alec Baldwin: The next day, he spooked to James and Top Hat, who agreed.
James & Top Hat: We'll do it tonight.
Alec Baldwin: Nelson had to take robots to the slate mines and then bring robots back. James decided as part of the plan to cross the old iron bridge.
Nelson: Haunted bridge, rubbish!
Alec Baldwin: Snorted Nelson.
Nelson: It's as tame as a pet rabbit's!
Alec Baldwin: But all the same, he kept thinking about Reverend Lovejoy's story. When dusk fell, he was keen to leave.
Nelson: If we don't go now, Lou the Cop will take my favorite place at the sheds.
James: We have to collect our robots first.
Alec Baldwin: James replied. He could see his plan was working because Nelson was nervous. When night fell, they set off. The mist were rising around the Old Iron Bridge. Nelson whistled and the sound echoed everywhere. Then, ahead he saw flickering lights. James knew they were only insects that shine brightly at night, but to Nelson, they looked like a boy! Next, James secretly threw a rock into the ravine below.
Nelson: It's the ghost! Take me back! Take me back, please!
Alec Baldwin: When Nelson reached the safety of his shed, he closed his eyes tightly.
James: Spooked are you, Nelson?
Alec Baldwin: Laughed James.
Nelson: No, I'm asleep.
Alec Baldwin: And Nelson refused to open his eyes. He did though, when he thought James wasn't looking, just to make sure that he was still there.
