The Simpsons Movie: Bart to the Future is a 1996 American Animated Comedy Film based on the Animated Television Series The Simpsons. The Film was directed by David Silverman and written by Michael J. Fox, who plays Doc Marty Brown.

The entire Cast and Crew of The Simpsons wanted to do a Film version of The Simpsons, but it never happened untill 1993. Actor Michael J. Fox came up with the Idea of Bart and Milhouse travelling to the year 1969 after he appeared in Back to the Future and shown the Film to the Producers, who loved the Idea. He called Directors and Producers Bob Gale and Robert Zemeckis who didn't mind Michael doing a Simpsons version of Back to the Future.
