Transcript

  • (We open this episode with the Thomas Season 7 intro)
  • (After that, we begin the character introduction)
  • Alec Baldwin: Thomas is the number one blue engine. Percy is a really useful engine. James is a magnificent engine. Gordon is the most fastest engine on the Island of Sodor. Henry is long and fast. Here's Edward always here to help.
  • (A passing by sequence occurs and we begin The Trouble With Mud)
  • George Carlin: One morning, Thomas was being cleaned when Gordon arrived. Mud had blown all over his smart blue paint.
  • Thomas: Hello, Gordon.
  • George Carlin: Called Thomas.
  • Thomas: You look as you had a mud bath. Be a sensible engine and have a shower instead.
  • George Carlin: Gordon snorted.
  • Gordon: I haven't time to dawdle over my appearance like fussy tank engines do.
  • George Carlin: The wind blew stronger.
  • Driver: Gordon, slow down!
  • George Carlin: Called his driver. This made Gordon crosser still.
  • Gordon: Now I'll be dirty and late, dirty and late!
  • George Carlin: He hissed. At the next station was a sign: All Trains Must Wash Down Daily. James had just finished being cleaned.
  • Driver: Come on, Gordon.
  • George Carlin: Said his driver.
  • Driver: You feel better too after a good hosedown.
  • Gordon: Bah!
  • George Carlin: Said Gordon and angrily let off steam.
  • Driver: You're a very naughty engine!
  • George Carlin: Said Gordon's driver.
  • Driver: Now James will need another shower. You'll have to wait your turn till later.
  • Gordon: Good riddance.
  • George Carlin: Huffed Gordon.
  • Gordon: I'm far too busy to waste time with water.
  • George Carlin: He finished his journey safely and steamed into the big station. Sir Topham Hatt was waiting. So are Gordon's coaches and the passengers.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Goodness gracious!
  • George Carlin: Said Sir Topham Hatt.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: You can't pull the train, Henry will have to do it. Gordon you better get cleaned straight away.
  • George Carlin: Gordon was soon being washed.
  • Gordon: Mind my eyes!
  • George Carlin: He grumbled. Then he pulled cars for the rest of the day.
  • Gordon: Freight trains, freight trains!
  • George Carlin: He spluttered. He felt his position deeply.
  • Gordon: That's for you, and you, and you!
  • James: Cars will be cars.
  • George Carlin: Laughed James.
  • Gordon: They won't with me.
  • George Carlin: Snorted Gordon.
  • Gordon: I'll teach them.
  • George Carlin: James got ready to take the express when Gordon returned.
  • Gordon: Be careful.
  • George Carlin: Warned Gordon.
  • Gordon: The hills are slippery. You may need help.
  • James: I don't need help on hills.
  • George Carlin: Replied James huffily.
  • James: Gordon thinks he knows everything.
  • George Carlin: Earlier the storm had slipped Gordon's Hill blowing leaves on the tracks which made them slippery. Even know the storm had passed, the hill was still difficult to climb. James knew this. The signal shown cleared, and James began to go faster.
  • James: I'll do it, I'll do it.
  • George Carlin: He puffed. Halfway up, he was not so sure.
  • James: I must do it, I must do it.
  • George Carlin: But his wheels slipped on the leaves. He couldn't pull the train at all.
  • James: Help, help!
  • George Carlin: Whistled James. His wheels were turning forward, but the heavy coaches pulled him backwards. The haul train started slipping down the hill. His driver shut off steam and put on the brakes, then carefully he stopped the train. Gordon saw everything.
  • Gordon: Ah well, we live and learn. Never mind, little James. I'm going to push behind.
  • George Carlin: Clouds of smoke and steam billowed from the snorting engines as they struggled up the hill.
  • James: We can do it!
  • George Carlin: Puffed James.
  • Gordon: We will do it!
  • George Carlin: Puffed Gordon. At last they reached the top.
  • James: Peep peep! Thank you, goodbye!
  • George Carlin: Whistled James.
  • Gordon: Boop boop!
  • George Carlin: Answered Gordon.
  • Gordon: Goodbye!
  • George Carlin: That night, Sir Topham Hatt came to see the engines. Gordon was miserable.
  • Thomas: Please, sir?
  • George Carlin: Said Thomas.
  • Thomas: Can Gordon pull coaches again now?
  • Sir Topham Hatt: If you understand that having a washdown as a sensle to every engine, then yes, Gordon, you may.
  • Gordon: Thank you.
  • George Carlin: Grunted Gordon.
  • Gordon: Dirty or clean, I'm a famous machine!
  • George Carlin: But no one heard but him.
  • (Another passing by sequence occurs and we begin Donald's Duck)
  • Children (singing): I found a quacker in my tender. She was very, very tame. But she quacked all night and through the day. She was driving me insane. My driver and my fireman tried everything they know to shoo the quacker away from me but she did not want to go. The quacker clearly loves me was impossible to nab. So now we have befriended her. She rides inside my cab. She quacks in stations big and small. She quacks at people too. Now everyone calls her Donald's Duck but i call her my quackeroo. She makes me so happy with her little ways. So happy, it's true. Now everyone calls her Donald's Duck but i call her my quackeroo. Quacking here, quacking there. She is quacking everywhere. Quack, quack, choo, choo, choo. She's my little quackeroo. She's quacking here and there. She's quacking everywhere. Quack, quack, choo, choo, choo. She's my quackeroo. Now everybody loves her. They love to hear her quack. But when we have to say goodbye, they ask when she'll be back. She's captured everybody's heart. She knows just what to do. Now everyone calls her Donald's Duck but she's my quackeroo. She makes me so happy with her little ways. So happy, it's true. Now everyone calls her Donald's Duck but i call her my quackeroo. Quacking here, quacking there. She's quacking everywhere. Quack, quack, choo, choo, choo. She's my little quackeroo. She's quacking here and there. She's quacking everywhere. Quack, quack, choo, choo, choo. She's my quackeroo. She's my quackeroo, she's my quackeroo.
  • (Dilly quacking)
  • (Donald's whistle toots)
  • (Another passing by sequence occurs and we begin Percy and The Haunted Mine)
  • Alec Baldwin: In the summertime, the branch line stationmasters enjoy a friendly competition for the most beautiful station on the Island of Sodor. The engines love to help too. One evening Sir Topham Hatt came to the sheds.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: I want Percy to collect some flower bushes from Lower Tidmouth Station.
  • Alec Baldwin: He said.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: They're at Maithwaithe.
  • Percy: Maithwaithe?
  • Alec Baldwin: Percy said.
  • Percy: Y-y-yes sir.
  • Alec Baldwin: He added nervously. Percy chuffed anxiously through the thickening fog. He doesn't like travelling to Maithwaithe at night. The line passes through a junction next to a spooky old quarry mine. Percy hoped the signal at the junction would be green. He didn't want to stop next to the mine. But the signal was red. He had to stop. Suddenly he saw something.
  • Percy: Bouncing buffers!
  • Alec Baldwin: Cried Percy. His driver hadn't seen the old chimney sink into the ground. The signal changed. Percy was so scared, he steamed away as fast as he could. The next day, Percy was telling Donald and Douglas about the disappearing chimney.
  • Donald: It's the naughty gnomes.
  • Alec Baldwin: Teased Donald.
  • Douglas: We fat men with big feet. They make strange things happen.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Douglas.
  • Douglas: It's legend. They steal your wheels and filch your funnels.
  • Alec Baldwin: Percy didn't want to believe them, but he wasn't sure. Sir Topham Hatt was waiting for Percy at Dryaw Station.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: I want you to collect some freight cars from the abandoned mine.
  • Alec Baldwin: He said.
  • Percy: Y-y-yes sir.
  • Alec Baldwin: Percy answered. But he really didn't want to go there again. Percy hoped he wouldn't see anything else disappear. He slipped into the sidings and buffered up to the freight cars.
  • Percy: Spooky.
  • Alec Baldwin: Stammered Percy. Suddenly, another building at the old mine sank into the ground.
  • Percy's Driver: What was that?!
  • Alec Baldwin: Shouted his driver.
  • Percy: Double bouncing buffers!
  • Alec Baldwin: Shrieked Percy. He was so scared, he lurched forward and rammed the freight car.
  • Percy: Naughty gnomes!
  • Alec Baldwin: Cried Percy. He steamed away faster than before, all the way back to Lower Tidmouth Station. Percy's driver told Sir Topham Hatt what they had seen.
  • Percy: It's the naughty gnomes.
  • Alec Baldwin: Cried Percy.
  • Percy: They like to cause trouble. It's legend.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Nonsense.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Sir Topham Hatt.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: The old buildings are collapsing at empty mine shafts. That's all.
  • Percy: But I saw the gnomes.
  • Alec Baldwin: Protested Percy.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Of course you did.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Sir Topham Hatt.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Garden gnomes.
  • Percy: Garden gnomes?
  • Sir Topham Hatt: To decorate Lower Tidmouth Station.
  • Alec Baldwin: Sir Topham Hatt said.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: They're not scary. Garden gnomes bring good luck.
  • Alec Baldwin: And he ordered Percy to return immediately and get them. Percy was scared, but he knew he had to be responsible. So he carried on.
  • Percy: I'm not scared, I'm not scared.
  • Alec Baldwin: He waited for something else spooky to happen. But it didn't and Sir Topham Hatt was right. The garden gnomes weren't scary at all. His driver and fireman had collected the gnomes and Percy took them straight back to Lower Tidmouth Station. Later that week, the stationmanster thanked Percy.
  • Stationmanster: We wouldn't have won our competition without your garden gnomes, Percy.
  • Alec Baldwin: Percy was very proud.
  • Percy: You were right, sir, naughty gnomes can be lucky after all.
  • (Another passing by sequence occurs and we begin Accidents Will Happen)
  • (Thomas' whistle toots)
  • Children: (singing) Thrills and spills on the railway, it's a life of happiness. But sometimes impatience can lead to carelessness.
  • Boy: (singing) Some think they are smart cats...
  • Girl: (singing) ...and some just know it all.
  • Children: (singing) But sooner or later we all find out that... Accidents happen now and again. Just when you least expect. Just when you think that life is okay, fate comes to collect. Accidents happen now and again, when people or trains get smart. If you don't concentrate on the thing that you're doing. Accidents will happen just like that. Your best laid plans can turn upside down if you get to confident. Sometime you will slip and slide if that Lady Luck's intent.
  • Girl: (singing) One minute you're riding high...
  • Boy: (singing) ...the next you're on the ground.
  • Children: (singing) But please remember, whatever the weather, you must take care cause... Accidents happen now and again, sometimes just by chance you gotta pick yourself up and dust yourself down put it down to experience. Accidents happen now and again, just don't take it all to heart. Cause if you don't concentrate on the thing that you're doing. Accidents will happen just like that. The warning signs are there for us to see most of the time. But sometimes we take chances, ignore the danger signs. Fate can surprise with no reason or rhyme. Make sure you'll learn your lesson. You'll know better next time. Accidents happen now and again. Just when you least expect. Just when you think that life is okay. Fate comes to collect. Accidents happen now and again, when people or trains get smart, if you don't concentrate on the thing that you're doing. Accidents will happen just like that. Accidents happen now and again. Sometimes just by chance. You gotta pick yourself up and dust yourself down put it down to experience. Accidents happen now and again, just don't take it all to heart.
  • Girl: If you don't concentrate on the thing that you're doing whatever you're doing is not what you're thinking.
  • Children: (singing) Accidents, incidents. Accidents, incidents, accidents happen just like that.
  • (Gordon crashed into the wall)
  • (Another passing by sequence occurs and we begin The Spotless Record)
  • Michael Brandon: A brand new tank engine was racing across the Island of Sodor. He was very excited and he didn't want to be late.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Right on time.
  • Michael Brandon: Said Sir Topham Hatt. Thomas and Percy looked at the big tank engine. He was very impressive.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: This is Arthur.
  • Michael Brandon: Said Sir Topham Hatt.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: He's here to shunt freight cars and pull freight.
  • Arthur: Nice to meet you.
  • Michael Brandon: Arthur puffed politely.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: And he's got a spotless record.
  • Percy: What's a spotless record?
  • Michael Brandon: Whispered Percy.
  • Thomas: It means he's never been naughty or made a mess.
  • Michael Brandon: Replied Thomas. The three engines were soon at work. Thomas and Percy were bumping freight cars. They knew this was naughty but they were having fun.
  • Thomas: Join in, Arthur.
  • Michael Brandon: Said Thomas.
  • Arthur: No thank you.
  • Michael Brandon: Wheesed the new engine. He'd never been naughty before. Arthur's first job was to push the train load of fruit to market. The troublesome trucks started to sing.
  • Trucks: Root, toot, toot, we want to go, the fruit's going off cause you're too slow!
  • Arthur: How rude.
  • Michael Brandon: Huffed Arthur. This gave Thomas a naughty idea.
  • Thomas: Sir Topham Hatt doesn't like the troublesome trucks singing.
  • Michael Brandon: Said Thomas.
  • Thomas: You must stop them.
  • Arthur: Thank you.
  • Michael Brandon: Said Arthur.
  • Arthur: I will.
  • Michael Brandon: Arthur was glad he could keep the troublesome trucks in order.
  • Thomas: They'll never stop the trucks from singing.
  • Michael Brandon: Laughed Thomas. Arthur chuffed cheerfully through the countryside. Soon the troublesome trucks started singing again.
  • Trucks: Chat, chat, chat, you're tough enough, but you're so rusty, you can even puff!
  • Arthur: Stop singing!
  • Michael Brandon: Huffed Arthur.
  • Arthur: Trucks should do as they are telling.
  • Michael Brandon: The Troublesome Trucks were cross. If they couldn't sing, they will teach Arthur a lesson instead.
  • Trucks: We'll show him!
  • Michael Brandon: They giggled.
  • Trucks: You can't push us around!
  • Michael Brandon: Arthur struggled over bridges and he huffed and puffed through tunnels. He came over the top of a big hill.
  • Trucks: You can't catch us!
  • Michael Brandon: Laughed the Troublesome Trucks.
  • Trucks: Whee-hee-hee!
  • Michael Brandon: But there was trouble ahead. Duck had stopped in the crossing at the bottom of the hill. Arthur's driver applied the brakes, but it was too late!
  • (Arthur crashes into the back of Duck's train)
  • Michael Brandon: Squash fruit flew everywhere! Arthur was upset. His spotless record was ruined.
  • Thomas: Oh, Arthur, what a mess!
  • Michael Brandon: Puffed Thomas. Sir Topham Hatt was very annyoed.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: What happened here?
  • Arthur: The troublesome trucks were singing. I told them to stop but they made me go too fast.
  • Thomas: Please, sir, it's my fault.
  • Michael Brandon: Thomas told Sir Topham Hatt what he had done.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Arthur, it's um... fruitless for me to say more. Ahem. But Thomas, you must clear this mess.
  • Michael Brandon: Harvey arrived the breakdown crane. He could see there's a lot of work to be done. Everyone worked hard and Thomas took the loaded trucks away. That evening, Arthur was having his squashed fruit cleaned out of his funnel.
  • Arthur: Hello, Thomas.
  • Thomas: Arthur, I'm sorry I played a trick on you.
  • Michael Brandon: Said Thomas.
  • Arthur: Thanks for owning up to it.
  • Michael Brandon: Replied Arthur.
  • Thomas: Maybe spotless records are meant to be broken.
  • Michael Brandon: Smiled Thomas.
  • Arthur: And then mended again.
  • Michael Brandon: Finished Arthur.
  • Arthur: Just like friendships.
  • (Another passing by sequence occurs and we begin Never Never Never Give Up)
  • Children: (singing) If you climb the highest mountain, Cross the river deep, Maybe you'll find it's never as easy As it first appears.
  • Men: (singing) As it first appears.
  • Children: (singing) Just remember not to worry, Or get down at heart Never lose faith in positive thinking You'll be amazed when you achieve All the things you start.
  • Men: (singing) All the things you start.
  • Children: (singing) So, Never, never, never give up even though the going's tough Don't stop trying, when you're tiring, and you're out of puff No, never, never, never give up even though you're feeling rough If at first you don't succeed, never, never, never give up If at first you don't succeed, Then try and try again Nothing in life is ever as easy But you get there in the end
  • Men: (singing) Get there in the end.
  • Children: (singing) So blow your cares and woes behind you Start a brand new day Nothing can stop you reaching your goal If you're determined, you can do it You will find a way.
  • Men: (singing) You will find a way.
  • Children: (singing) So, Never, never, never give up even though the going's tough Don't stop trying, when you're tiring, and you're out of puff No, never, never, never give up even though you're feeling rough If at first you don't succeed, never, never, never give up Some things seem impossible, answers hard to find No matter how improbable, you won't know until you try You can do whatever you choose it just takes a little luck So remember never, never, never give up Never, never, never give up even though the going's tough Don't stop trying, when you're tiring, and you're out of puff No, never, never, never give up even though you're feeling rough If at first you don't succeed, never, never, never give up So, Never, never, never give up even though the going's tough Don't stop trying, when you're tiring, and you're out of puff No, never, never, never give up even though you're feeling rough If at first you don't succeed, never, never, never give up! Never, never, never give up, Never, never, never give up!
  • (Following the last song, we find the end credits with Thomas looking at us)
  • (While they roll, the Thomas end theme plays)
  • (After that, the 2001 HiT Entertainment logo appears)
