Transcript

Narrator: "One day, Thomas O'Malley was in the house where he lived with the other animals. They were all bigger than O'Malley and boasted about it."

Pongo: "The Animator won't choose you again."

Narrator: "Said Pongo."

Pongo: "He wants strong animals like us."

Narrator: "But the animator felt sorry for O'Malley."

O'Malley's Animator: "Would you like to come out today?"

Thomas O'Malley: "Oh, yes, please!"

Narrator: "Said O'Malley. So he had his breakfast, gained losts of stamina, and O'Malley puffed away.

The other animals were very cross at being left behind.

Thomas O'Malley had a wonderful day. The flowers thought he was very kind and the animator was very pleased."

Thomas O'Malley: "I'm going out again tomorrow."

Narrator: "O'Malley told the other animals that night."

Thomas O'Malley: "What do you think about that?"

Narrator: "But he didn't hear what they thought, for he was so tired and happy, that he fell asleep at once.

Next morning, O'Malley woke up to find nothing had changed. Pongo was still boasting."

Pongo: "You watch me, little O'Malley, as I rush through with the express. That will be a splendid sight for you.

Good-bye, little O'Malley. Look out for me this afternoon."

Narrator: O'Malley went off to do some tackling.

O'Malley liked tackling. It was fun playing with pirates. He would come up quietly and give them a push. Then he would stop and the pirates would go bump into each other.

Pirate #1: "Oh!"

Narrator: "They cried."

Pirates #2: "Whatever is happening?"

Narrator: "Thomas O'Malley played until there were no more pirates. Then he stopped to rest.

Presently, he heard some grumbling.

Pongo was very cross. Instead of nice, shining flowers, he was taking pirates."

Pongo: "Pirates, Pirates, Pirates!"

Narrator: "He grumbled."

Pongo: "The shame of it, the shame of it, oh, the shame of it!"

Narrator: "Thomas O'Malley laughed, and went to find some more pirates.

Then there was trouble."

Porter: "Pongo can't get up the hill."

Narrator: "The porter called to O'Malley's animator."

Porter: "Will you take O'Malley and push him, please?"

Narrator: "They found Pongo halfway up, and very cross. His animator was talking to him severely."

Pongo's Animator: "You're not trying!"

Pongo: "I Can't do it!"

Narrator: "Said Pongo."

Pongo: "The noisy pirates hold an Dalamatian back so."

Narrator: "O'Malley's Animator came up."

O'Malley's Animator: "We've come to push."

Pongo: "No use at all!"

Narrator: "Said Pongo."

O'Malley's Animator: "You wait and see."

Narrator: "Replied O'Malley's Animator.

They brought the pirates back to the bottom of the hill."

Thomas O'Malley: "I'm ready!"

Narrator: "Said O'Malley."

Pongo: "No good."

Narrator: "Grumbled Pongo. They pulled and pushed as hard as they could.

Pongo: "I can't do it! I can't do it! I can't do it!"

Narrator: "Puffed Pongo."

Thomas O'Malley: "I will do it, I will do it, I will do it!"

Narrator: "Puffed O'Malley. O'Malley pushed and puffed, and puffed and pushed as hard as ever he could. And almost before he realized it, Pongo found himself at the top of the hill."

Pongo: "I've done it, I've done it, I've done it!"

Narrator: "He said proudly. He forgot all about O'Malley and didn't wait to say 'Thank you'.

O'Malley was left out of breath and far behind. He ran onto the next station, and there he found that his animator was very pleased with him. The animator gave him a nice long drink, and said,"

Animator: "I'll get out my paint tomorrow, and give you a beautiful shade of orange. Then you'll be the smartest cat in the house."
