  • Narrator: Thomas the Tank Engine was puffing along his Branch Line with Annie and Clarebel. The blue tank engine puffed through bridges, tunnels and windmills. One day, Thomas was crossing an old viaduct. There was a big bump on the track. Thomas' driver stopped to check the viaduct.
  • Thomas' driver: There are cracks and supports.
  • Thomas: Oh, that can be dangerous. It might fall down if it was not repaired.
  • Narrator: Thomas hurried off to warn the Narrow Gauge engines at the Wharf. The Narrow Gauge engines were waiting for their coal and diesel fuel when Thomas arrived.
  • Thomas: Don't use the old viaduct. It's dangerous.
  • Narrator: Rheneas was skepital.
  • Rheneas: Pah! How did you know. You are a blue steamie.
  • Narrator: Rheneas puffed crossly away and didn't wait for his coal. Later, Thomas hurried back to Tidmouth Sheds to tell The Fat Controller and Mr Percival the bad news.
  • The Fat Controleler: Thank you.
  • Mr Percial: We send the workmen to repair the old viaduct. Meanwhile, no one is to use it.
  • Narrator: Thomas felt happy. The workmen put a sign, "Line Closed". The engines have to travel a different way. Later, Rheneas needed more coal to get home. When he arrived at the coal bunker, it was empty!
  • Rheneas: Bother! I won't go home without more coal. Where's the coal bunker?
  • Duke: On the other side of the viaduct. But you can't cross. Thomas says it's not safe!
  • Rheneas: Pah! Thomas always thinks sound worse than all!
  • Rheneas' driver: You need to cross the old viaduct wouldn't hurt.
  • Narrator: Rheneas puffed away. He was cross. When he saw the sign, his driver removed it. Rheneas set off towards the viaduct. It was a big mistake! Suddenly, Rheneas hissed to a halt.
  • Rheneas: I'm out of steam!
  • Narrator: Rheneas had used up all his coal.
  • Rheneas: Oh, no! What's that?
  • Narrator: His driver looked down. The old viaduct was starting to collasp.
  • The Fat Controller: Thomas, Rheneas' gonna cross the viaduct.
  • Thomas: I'll better check he's all right.
  • Narrator: But the cracks and the supports were getting larger. A beam snapped! Pieces of the viaduct splashed into the water below!
  • Rheneas: He-el-lp! I'm going to fall!
  • Narrator: But Thomas was on the way. Soon Thomas found Rheneas. Rheneas was still scared. Thomas chuffed onto the viaduct.
  • Rheneas: Careful!
  • Narrator: Soon Thomas was coupled up to Rheneas.
  • Thomas: Hold on, Rheneas.
  • Rheneas: Woah!
  • Narrator: Thomas pulled Rheneas off the viaduct just in time. (the bridge collaps as Rheneas is safe.)
  • Thomas: Don't use the old viaduct. It's dangerous.
  • Narrator: Mr Percival was cross with Rheneas.
  • Mr Percival: That was very responsible.
  • Rheneas: Yes, sir. Sorry sir. And Thomas, you're a really useful engine.
  • Thomas: Thanks.
  • The Fat Controller: Yes, Thomas. You're a really useful engine.
  • Thomas: Thank you, sir.
  • Narrator: Thomas felt reliable too.
