Thomas' Describing Friend

Plot

Thomas was at Knapford. The Fat Controller told him that a new engine is coming to Sodor to look around. Thomas was pleased. He was asked to show him around. Once he knows what he thinks of it, he will stay on Sodor.

Thomas went to Brendam Docks. Percy, Henry, James and Daisy were there. They all wanted to see the new engine. Soon, Cranky lifted the new engine out of the ship. Thomas and the other engines were surprised. Thomas asked what the name is. The name was David. He saw Thomas and told him that he's very blue.

A very surprising Thomas gasped. He didn't know that David can describe engines. David told Percy that he's very green, he told Henry that he looks very big, he told James that he looks very red and he told Daisy that she looks very pretty with your eyelashes. They all thanked him. Thomas told David to come with him.

Soon, they headed to Maithwaite. Donald and Douglas were there. David looked at them. He told Thomas that they look very identical. The twins got shocked of what he said. They thanked him. Next, they met Whiff and Scruff at Whiff's Waste Dump. David described them as a smelly couple. The engines blushed and thanked him.

It was going on. David described Bertie at the crossing as a busy bus, he told Skarloey at the Transfer Yards that he's a little engine and told Flora at Arlesdale End that her yellow paint looks lovely. Thomas thought that David is really clever.

When Thomas and David came to the Dieselworks, Diesel, 'Arry, Bert and Diesel 10 were searching for trouble and sniggering. David told Thomas that the diesels are devious. Thomas replied that they are. The diesels gasped hearing him and stopped sniggering.

The Fat Controller soon arrived. He told David that his first job is to work with Thomas. They both have to collect Jobi wood from Misty Island and send them to the Steamworks to make a new crane. David asked what is Misty Island. Thomas said that he'll find out.

Soon, the engines came passed the Sodor Search and Rescue Centre. David said that the team are very tough. Rocky, Harold, Captain and Butch heard that and thanked them as they went in the tunnel.

While in the tunnel, David described it as a dark tunnel. Thomas said that it is. Soon, the engines were on Misty Island. David looked around and said to Thomas that is strange. Thomas told him that it gets even stranger.

As the engines passed the Logging Station, David said that it's unbeliveable. And when they came to the Shake Shake Bridge, David said that it's very wobbly. Soon, they saw Bash, Dash and Ferdinand. David said that they're hillarious. Bash, Dash and Ferdinand heard him. They asked what the name is.

Thomas said that it's David and he likes to describe things. David saw Old Wheezy and Hee-Haw and said they're funny. The Logging Locos asked if they have came for the logs. Thomas said that they have. Soon, the engines were coupled.

David said to Thomas that everything is OK so far. Suddenly, Old Wheezy accidently grabbed David. As Old Wheezy spun around, David said that everything's dizzy. Old Wheezy suddenly threw David into the Logging Pond. Thomas asked if David's OK. David said he's fine, but everything's wet.

Thomas knew that his new friend needed help. So, he headed back to Sodor to collect Rocky. Soon, David was lifted into the Logging Pond. David thanked Thomas and Rocky and told them that they are helpful.

Later, David and Thomas headed back to Sodor and arrived at the Sodor Steamworks. David described Victor as a kind fellow. Victor was surprised and soon thanked him.

Soon, Thomas and David came to Tidmouth Sheds. Only Percy and The Fat Controller were there. Sir Topham Hatt asked David what he thinks of Sodor. David replied that Sodor was good, but Misty Island wasn't that bad. Soon, David said that he is impressed of Sodor and decided to stay.

Percy and Thomas cheered and Percy told him that he's a good friend. David blushed and smiled at Thomas, who thinks that David is such a describing friend.

Smudger's Restoration

Plot

Peter Sam and Sir Handel were resting in the sheds. They were talking to Duke. They wanted to go back to their old railway. Duke asked is they mean the railway that was closed. Peter Sam replied that they do.

Mighty Mac heard them and told them that Mr. Percival was talking about a genorator named Smudger. Duke knew it's someone he knew. The Thin Controller came along and told Duke that he has to do an important job. His wife, Mrs Percival, wanted to see the railways she hasn't seen yet. Duke said he knows just the place.

When Duke arrived at Mountain Village Station, Mrs. Percival was there. She told him that she has her camera ready. She is going to take pictures. She took one of Duke before they headed off. They came to a junction and Duke headed down his old track.

The engines came to Arlesdale Station. It was the railway Duke used to work in. Mrs. Percival was impressed. She took a picture of The Gold Mines and Duke's old shed. Then, she saw another shed. She was about to take it until she heard snoring.

She asked him what is it. She hoped it isn't a rabbit or a spider. Duke said it isn't, but it looks like there's someone in the shed with spiders in it. The someone spoke. Mrs. Percival asked who is in there. The engine was Smudger. Duke explained that Smudger used to roll roughly and come off the rails until he's a genorator.

Smudger suddenly sneezed because a spider is up his nose. Mrs. Percival asked if it's cold inside. Smudger replied that it is. He has been stuck in it all Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter. Nobody has let him out. Mrs. Percival knows how he feels. She wanted to help. Duke knew that maybe she could be right.

When Duke and Mrs. Percival came back, Duncan, Skarloey and Thomas were at the Transfer Yards as well as Mr. Percival. Mrs. Percival told her husband about Smudger. Mr. Percival thought that it's a good idea. Skarloey told him that it will be nice.

The next morning, Smudger had more guest. It wasn't just Mrs. Percival and Duke again, it was Sir Handel, Peter Sam and Mr. Percival. Smudger was surprised to see the names changing. Sir Handel explained that they have changed their names while working on another line. Smudger became impressed.

Mr. Percival told Smudger that he does feel lonely as a genorator, but he does need to be useful again. Peter Sam told Smudger that perhaps, as a special treat, he can genorate power for a couple of weeks, then later, the railway will be restored and he will become a proper engine. Smudger then became excited.

So, a couple of weeks, Smudger powered everything in the railway and soon, the railway became restored. Smudger was pleased. Soon, Rusty came with a breakdown crane and Smudger was suddenly out. He was excited. Soon, a new genorator came out. It was another engine who had been roughly riding on the mainland.

Smudger was put on a flatbed at the Transfer Yards pulled by Thomas. Duke, Sir Handel and Peter Sam whistled goodbye and Mr and Mrs. Percival waved as Smudger went out of sight.

Thomas had to stop at a junction along the way. Percy was there. He gasped when he saw the strange engine. He asked what's his name. Thomas explained that he is Smudger. Percy asked is he's going to the Steamworks. Thomas and Smudger said yes.

As they came to the Sodor Steamworks, Stanley and Gordon were there as well as Victor and Kevin. Stanley clearly saw the name and told Gordon that the strange engine is Smudger. Gordon was impressed. He was sure he heard that before.

Victor asked what can he do for the little engine. Thomas told him that Smudger was a genorator for a long time and he wanted to be really useful again. Kevin explained that they will try hard. Suddenly, a spider came out of Smudger's funnel. Thomas, Victor and Kevin laughed. Smudger blushed.

Duke, Sir Handel, Peter Sam and Mighty Mac were waiting at the Transfer Yards. Skarloey was to call out when Smudger's coming. The two Percivals were standing on the platform. Duke hoped Smudger is OK. Suddenly, Skarloey whistled and told them that they're coming. Everyone whistled as they saw Smudger in engine shape.

Smudger was happy. Spiders were shooed and his paintwork shone. He thanked Duke and the Narrow Gauge engines. Then, he thanked Mr and Mrs. Percival.

Soon, he tried racing along the line. This time, Smudger rolled smootly. Everyone was proud of him. Duke hoped that Smudger will stay engine forever. Smudger knew that indeed he will.

Rescue Engine Harvey

Plot

All of the Search and Rescue team were waiting for a mission. Thomas came in to collect the Search and Rescue Centre Manager. He was going to teach the children at the School about Search and Rescue. Thomas suddenly heard sniffing. It was Harvey.

Thomas asked Harvey what's wrong. Harvey told Thomas that he wanted to be part of the Rescue Team. He rescues engines and things. Harold, hearing all this, told Harvey not to worry. Maybe someday, his wish will come true. Harvey wasn't sure about that.

Later, Harvey was heading his way to Farmer McColl's Farm. He saw James. Harvey saw that James' funnel is loose. He decided to help. He put the funnel back on. James thanked him and saw he was sad. Harvey exclaimed that he wanted to join the Search and Rescue team. James felt sorry for him.

As Harvey came to Farmer McColl's, the farmer saw his sad face. Harvey told Farmer McColl that he wants to be in the Search and Rescue team. Sir Topham heard what's happening. He told Harvey that he doesn't have to worry. He then said that maybe Harvey can work hard for seven days and maybe he can be part of the team.

So, Harvey started to work. Monday came and Harvey waited for something to happen. He was working by the Dieselworks. Diesel 10 was lifting metal into Norman's trucks. Suddenly, Diesel 10 sneezed because of the air and some of the metal flew off. Diesel 10 gasped and told Norman that his claw can't reach so far.

The metal was in front of Harvey. He lifted the metal off the tracks and round to the Dieselworks. Diesel 10 and Norman gasped. Norman asked how he did that. The Fat Controller appeared and told them that Harvey wants to be a rescue engine. Diesel 10 and Norman congratulated him. Harvey blushed.

On Tuesday, Harvey was at the Sodor Steamworks. Kevin was dropping engine parts all over. Victor kept going cross and shouting at him. Harvey decided to help. So, he picked up the parts. Victor and Kevin were glad and Kevin apologized. Harvey thinked that maybe he will become a rescue engine after all.

Wednesday came closer and Harvey was rolling along Sodor. He suddenly saw a carrot. A voice said that was his carrot. It was Bulgy. Harvey then decided to help Bulgy. So, he lifted the carrot and Bulgy's driver placed it back in. Bulgy thanked Harvey and told him that he had heard that he will be a rescue engine. Harvey agreed.

When Thursday came, Harvey helped Percy. One of his mail bags had fallen off and Harvey lifted it onto the trucks. The Fat Controller came with a board and told Harvey that this board has got the engines who he saved so far. Harvey was pleased and so was Percy who later said thank you.

Friday arrived and Harvey was pulling trucks to Brendam Docks. As he came to a field, there was Thomas. He asked for help. He told him that a mother was pushing a pram up the hill and fell. Now, the pram is stuck. The baby is being lifted by Harold and the pram needs Harvey's help.

Soon, Harvey lifted the pram and Thomas took the mother to follow the baby and Harold. Harvey was pleased when Saturday came. He wondered who he can help now. As he came to The Wharf, he saw Skarloey. He came off the track. Rheneas tried to lift him back up, but the crane is broken.

Harvey decided to help. Soon, Skarloey was back on tracks. He thanked Harvey. Harvey was pleased. As Sunday came, Harvey was wating for The Fat Controller. He was going to tell him the next job. Soon, Sir Topham Hatt arrived. He told Harvey that Ferdinand needs help. His whistle is loose and he needs it back on.

Harvey was so excited. He spun his crane arm very hard. So hard, he broke it loose. Harvey gasped. He apologized to Sir Topham Hatt. Soon, Diesel 10, Norman, Percy and Thomas rolled towards him and Victor, Kevin, Skarloey and Bulgy came on flatbeds. Thomas asked what's wrong.

Harvey told the engines that he was just excited about becoming a rescue engine and his last job is exciting. Percy told Harvey that it's OK to be excited. Harvey was a little better, but he was still worried about his broken hook. Norman decided that since Harvey helped them, they will help him. Harvey was pleased.

Soon, Thomas hauled Victor and Kevin back to the Steamworks. Percy and Diesel 10 pushed Harvey there and Norman took Bulgy to a nearby road and Skarloey to the Transfer Yards, where Mr. Percival welcomed him back.

Later, Harvey went to help Ferdinand with his whistle. Bash and Dash took Ferdinand to the Steamworks where Victor and Kevin fixed on the whistle. Harvey was hoping that he will be part of the Search and Rescue team now.

Next Monday, Thomas told Harvey to come to the Sodor Search and Rescue Centre at once. So, Harvey followed Thomas. There were Harold, Captain, Rocky, Butch, Belle and Flynn waiting. Sir Topham Hatt came to talk to Harvey.

The Fat Controller told Harvey that he had worked hard everyday apart from the arm accident yesterday. But he was really useful. So, Harvey was told by The Fat Controller that since he's been so good. He can be part of the Search and Rescue team.

Harold and Rocky cheered and Butch, Flynn, Belle and Captain sounded their horns and whistles. Harvey smiled and was pleased when he got a Search and Rescue logo stuck at the top of his nameplate. Harvey thanked Thomas and smiled when he became part of the Sodor Search and Rescue team at the Centre.

Oliver's Snowplough

Plot

It was cold and snowy. Oliver was surprised that all the snow has gone around his shed. Toad warns him that he has to wear a snowplough if worse. It soon became worse. The Fat Controller was driving to talk to Oliver when he slipped on icy roads. Edward carried him the rest of the way. The Fat Controller told Oliver that he needs a snowplough. Toad said that he told Oliver that. Oliver became excited. He've never had a snowplough on before.

The snowplough was at the Steamworks. Victor told Oliver that if he was him, he would test the snowplough just to be sure it was safe. Thomas came into the Steamworks and told Oliver to watch out for a rock. He remembered when he hit one. Oliver went out to test his snowplough.

The first snowdrift was at Great Waterton. Stanley was there, stuck underneath it. He told Oliver if he cleared the snow away, he'd be very thankful. Oliver took a big puff and tried to charge through. But suddenly, the plough made snow fall all over Oliver's face. Stanley's trucks laughed. Oliver said sorry and puffed away leaving a snowy Stanley.

Toad then told Oliver that there's a snowdrift near Gordon's Hill. Oliver tried to clear the snow away. But his effort wasn't good. He stucked himself at the top and Toad came uncoupled. Toad then remembered about how he came loose because the trucks were pushing him. He hoped he won't run into another pool. But luckily, Dart was at the bottom. He carefully catched Toad and brought him to Oliver. Oliver was worried.

Another snowdrift was at Tidmouth Sheds. Percy couldn't get out. Oliver still tried to work his snowplough. He budged through, but snow went all over Percy. Now, he really was stuck. Oliver was cross. Suddenly, Bertie arrived. He told him that there's more snow trouble. Oliver was surprised.

First, he tried to clear the Fenland Track, but snow made the track broken and Oliver slipped. Next, he was trying his best to help Hiro get through Henry's Tunnel, but ended up going backwards and talking backwards to Spencer. Spencer was puzzled. Toad was hoping that Oliver can clear the Wharf so that Colin can be free, but Oliver became a snow engine like he was last time. As he was cleared, Oliver was worried.

He puffed back to the Steamworks. He told Victor that this is it. He won't be using his snowplough anymore. Victor felt sorry for him. Suddenly, Thomas rushed in. He told Oliver that Diesel 10 is stuck in a big drift. All that they can see is his claw. The other engines had forgotten their snowploughs. He needs Oliver's help. Toad told Oliver not to worry about his snowplough. He will just keep on doing it until Diesel 10 is free.

Soon, Oliver came to the drift. Everyone was waiting. Even The Fat Controller. They chanted for Oliver. Oliver was nervous, but remembered what Toad had said. So, Oliver charged through all the snowdrifts. This time, no fails. And when Donald and Douglas arrived, they were surprised to see Oliver working hard.

Soon, Diesel 10 was free. All the engines cheered for Oliver. Even The Fat Controller was happy. That night, Toad said well done to Oliver. And then, The Fat Controller told him that he was Really Useful. That made Oliver happy.

Helping Bulstrode

Plot

Thomas was taking holidaymakers to the beach. Rosie was at a junction. She told Thomas that she's going to the beach too. The two engines decided to race each other.

When the two engines arrived at the beach, they heard groaning. It was Bulstrode. Rosie had never seen a barge like him before. Bulstrode told her how he was stuck on the beach because he was naughty and sulking. He then explained that Percy pushed some trucks on him and he was now a playground for the children. Rosie felt sorry for him. Bulstrode wants to be really useful again. Thomas and Rosie thought that maybe he can.

The two engines came to Knapford. They told Percy and the Fat Controller about Bulstrode. They agreed about Bulstrode about being useful again. Percy do hoped that Bulstrode won't complain anymore. Then, James arrived. He asked what was all this about Bulstrode. The three engines and the Fat Controller told him.

James came to Wellsworth. He told Edward and BoCo about Bulstrode. They were impressed and told Henry. Then, Henry told Gordon, who told Peter Sam, who told Mighty Mac, who told Den, who told Dart, who told Diesel 10, who told Paxton, who told Salty, who told Cranky. Soon, everyone agreed to put Bulstrode back in action.

Thomas and Rosie were excited, until they have noticed that one engine isn't helping. It was Fergus. He was too busy to know about helping barges. Rosie and Thomas knew they must tell him. They whistled for Fergus, but Fergus didn't take notice. Thomas and Rosie needed to think of a plan to let Fergus help.

Thomas then thought of something. He went to Arlesdale End. Fergus was there, talking to Toby. Thomas told Fergus that since it's a beautiful day, he might go to the beach. But Fergus said no. He would just enjoy working. He trundled off. Toby asked Thomas why he wants Fergus to go to the beach. Thomas told him about Bulstrode. Toby was happy to help too.

Thomas found Rosie at Great Waterton. He said that his plan's not working. Soon, it was Rosie's turn. She then thought of something. When Rosie came to the Steamworks, Fergus was there. She told Fergus that he needs a break at the beach. But Fergus refused again. He said that he is busy. He then began to chuff off. Rosie then told Victor and Kevin about Bulstrode. They could help too by finding boat fule. Another engine will collect them.

Rosie caught up with Thomas as the Shunting Yards. She told him how her plan failed too. Thomas was worried. Suddenly, Fergus came in with a frantic scream. The trucks were laughing and pushing him. Suddenly, Fergus saw Hector. He tried to stop, but he couldn't. Suddenly, Fergus crashed into Hector and coal went all over the yards.

Fergus asked what's happening. Rosie and Thomas told him about Bulstrode. Fergus then knew why Thomas and Rosie tried to get him to the beach. Hiro puffed up with Rocky. He saw Fergus up Hector and said that it's lucky he brought Rocky along.

Soon, Fergus was lifted. He then told Thomas and Rosie to come along and help Bulstrode. The two little engines laughed as they followed. The engines were huffing and puffing along helping Bulstrode.

Soon, Bulstrode was as good as new. Thomas, Rosie, Fergus and the other engines were watching him go back into the sea. Percy couldn't look. Soon, Bulstrode was happy as he went in the sea. Percy opened his eyes and smiled. Everyone cheered and Thomas and Rosie wished Bulstrode good luck. Bulstrod gave a wink and floated away.

Mavis and the Deer

Plot

Mavis always works at the Quarry. It's very dusty work. One day, she wanted to go somewhere different. She decided to go to the Whispering Woods. Bill and Ben were worried that they will be left alone, but Mavis said that Henry will be coming soon. He'll look after them.

As she came to the Whispering Woods, Thomas was there. He was carrying some children. They were watching the animals. Just then, a deer popped out. It saw Mavis and ran out to see her. One of the children thought that the deer must like Mavis. Mavis smiled.

The Fat Controller soon arrived. He told Mavis that there is a new hopper arriving for the Quarry and she needs to collect it. Mavis trundled off. But as she rolled away, the deer decided to follow her. Thomas and the children watched it as well. They laughed and tried to warn Mavis, but she was out of sight.

Mavis came into Brendam. The hopper was waiting. Cranky saw the deer following Mavis. Mavis got shocked. She told the deer to go back to the woods. The deer wasn't listening. Charlie and Percy arrived and when they saw Mavis with the deer, they laughed. Mavis felt embarrassed and rolled away quickly. The deer ran after her.

Mavis had to stop at a junction. 'Arry and Bert were waiting too. They laughed as they saw the deer following her. Mavis felt more embarrassed. She tried to tell the deer to go back to the woods, but the deer didn't listen. Mavis rolled off quickly just before the signal went green. The signalman tried to shout at her, but couldn't stop laughing when he saw the deer following her.

Mavis was nearing the quarry. The deer followed her as she came to Knapford. The passengers began to laugh when they saw the deer. Even Gordon began to chuckle. Mavis is now getting furious. She must think of a way to make the deer go back to the woods.

James, Molly, Edward and Spencer were talking in a siding. They saw Mavis with the deer. They were about to laugh until Mavis blew his horn very loudly. They didn't do anything, just stood still. Mavis asked them how to get the deer back to the Whispering Woods. Everyone thought.

Then, James had an idea. He told Mavis that deer food might do the job. Mavis agreed. The engines all went to ask the Fat Controller. He agreed. The children soon came back from the woods. The Fat Controller asked them if they have deer food. They sure did. Spencer wondered who will carry the food.

Then, Harold arrived. Molly told him about the deer. He agreed to help. The food was attached to Harold's sling. He flew high in the sky and made the food drop out of the bag. The deer ate it along the way. The engines followed after it.

They were passing Whiff's Waste Dump. Whiff thought that it was raining deer food until he saw Harold, the deer and the engines. Scruff said hello to them. The engines puffed happily back to the Whispering Woods.

Soon, the engines came back to the woods. The deer ate the last of the food. Then, it saw it's mum. It gave it's mum a big hug, and in deer sounds, talked about his adventure with Mavis. Everyone smiled.

Mavis soon was ready to go to the quarry with her hopper. But the deer came running back and started giving Mavis a big hug goodbye. All the engines sighed and the Fat Controller took off his top hat. The children watched happily.

As she came into the quarry, Mavis told Bill and Ben about the deer and how it followed her. The twins never belived her, but Mavis said that it was true. Then, the photographer came in and showed Mavis a picture that he took of Mavis and the deer. Bill and Ben laughed, but Mavis went in a big shade of red.

A Surprise for Gordon

Plot

Gordon has been working on the express for many years, so the Fat Controller decided to make a surprise for him. Thomas and Percy were pleased about the idea. A few days later, Thomas and Percy were asked to collect the surprise. The Fat Controller told them not to tell Gordon about the surprise.

Soon, the two engines came into the Docks. The surprise was on a flatbed. Cranky told them that they covered it up so that Gordon doesn't see it. Percy was excited about the surprise. He asked Cranky what it is, but Cranky told them that it's a secret. The two engines understood.

Thomas and Percy were soon puffing along the line with Gordon's surprise. As the engines came into Maron, they saw Gordon picking up passengers. They wondered what to do until Emily arrived to talk to Gordon. Percy thought that she is keeping him busy. The two engines puffed off wondering.

The engines were passing Bluff's Cove. They saw Toby and told him about the surprise. They then asked him not to tell Gordon. It's a surprise. They puffed away leaving a very puzzled Toby wondering what they mean. Then, Gordon rolled by and Toby tried not to tell him about the surprise. But Gordon puffed past and didn't see Toby.

Thomas and Percy had to leave the surprise at Knapford. Thomas was telling Henry, James, Charlie and Dowager Hatt about Gordon's surprise. They were impressed. Suddenly, they heard Gordon coming. All the engines gasped and Thomas told everyone to hide. Everyone went to hide and Percy was thinking about where to hide the surprise.

Then, Gordon puffed into the platform. Thomas and Percy sped out quickly. Then, Percy hit a bump on the track and he and Thomas flew off the rails. The surprise disappeared. Gordon saw the two engines flying. He wondered what's going on.

Suddenly, Thomas and Percy bumped on Farmer McColl's Field and the surprise landed on the barn. Farmer McColl was surprised. So were the chickens. The two little engines felt very worried.

When Rosie arrived with Rocky, Thomas and Percy looked at the surprise. It was covered in chicken feathers. It was ruined. Percy was upset. Thomas then saw that the surprise cover came off. There, inside the cover, was a billboard with pictures of Gordon and his friends from over the years. Thomas thought that it must be the surprise.

Soon, the two engines took the surprise to the Steamworks so it can have the feathers took off. Kevin got covered in the feathers and pretended to be a chicken. Victor didn't like that at all. Soon, the surpise had all the feathers took off. It got covered again and Thomas and Percy puffed back to Knapford.

When the two engines came back, Gordon wasn't there. The Fat Contoller took the surprise and put it outside the platform. Gordon came back and the Fat Controller made an announcement.

He explained that Gordon had been Really Useful throughout the years. And to celebrate, they have a surprise to show him. They uncovered the billboard and Gordon gasped. He had never seen pictures of him together before.

Thomas and Percy congratulated Gordon for being a big express engine. Gordon told them that this is the biggest surprise he ever had. All the engines whistled and everyone cheered for the big express engine.

Plot

The Vicar of Wellsworth was busy in his church. He was busy ringing the bells so they are ready for Sunday. Just then, he heard a weesh of steam. It was Percy. He popped to say hello. The Vicar asked him to stop weeshing very hard. Percy promised, until he started to chuff off again. The Vicar was worried.

Soon, the Vicar went back to the bell. He was going to ring it when he heard another puff of steam. It was Hiro. He was taking a little rest near the church. The Vicar told him not to weesh that much steam. Hiro felt sorry and backed away nervously. He made a little puff of steam, but the Vicar was still worried.

Back in the church, the Vicar was cross. Everytime he tried to ring the bell, he gets interrupted by a cloud of steam. He tried to ring the bell again, but this time, three engines wooshed some steam. It was the Logging Locos. They were doing a little weeshing game. They asked him to join in, but the Vicar said no and told them not to weesh in front of a busy vicar again. The Logging Locos were sorry and puffed away.

The Vicar was getting a bit fed up. He tried to ring the bell again, but there was some more steam. It was Thomas. He had broken down and is waiting for James to take him to the Steamworks. The Vicar was getting cross. He wanted to go somewhere where it's nice and quiet.

So, the Vicar went to run away somewhere quiet and with no engines. He went to the Whistling Woods. He began to like the peace and quiet. Suddenly, he heard a weesh of steam and an engine came out of the smoke. It was Toby. He didn't expect the Vicar to be in the woods. He asked him what's going on. The Vicar told him about wanting to go somewhere where there's no steam.

Toby told him that engines can wheesh in the woods. The Vicar became very cross. He wanted to go somewhere else. So, he ran all the way to Farmer McColl's farm. He soon enjoyed it. Suddenly, another weesh of steam came from the barn. It was Farmer McColl trying out a new steam machine.

The Vicar went to talk to him. He explained that he wants to go somewhere without steam. Farmer McColl told the Vicar that this place unfortunately has steam all around. From his machine and some of the engines. The Vicar felt very insane. He really wanted to go to a place without steam.

The very cross Vicar went into a field. There was no steam anywhere. The Vicar felt very pleased. Suddenly, he saw some steam coming from a hill near a field. He felt cross and wanted to run away, but he decided to find out what's going on. So he ran closer to the steam.

The Vicar went very close to the steam and charged through it. Then, he saw who it was. It was Donald. He had bashed into some buffers while pulling a train of flowers. Dowager Hatt was going to put them in a graveyard next to the church. The Vicar saw Donald was sad. Donald saw the Vicar and asked him what's he doing here.

The Vicar told Donald all about the steam and how it got on it's nerves. Donald understood and told him that steam is not that bad. The Vicar understood and asked what he would like to do to help Donald asked him to call Rocky. So, the Vicar went to the Search and Rescue Centre.

There was lots of steam, but this time, the Vicar braved through it. He found Rocky and told him about Donald. Rocky told him that he will be on his way. So, Rocky, shunted by Douglas, went to rescue Donald.

Soon, Donald was back on track. Dowager Hatt told them how Really Useful he was and the Fat Controller agreed. The Vicar went with the engines and people back to the church. The Vicar was happy to be back. So, this time, when an engine weeshes by, the Vicar will stay at the church and wave to them as they whistle in reply.

Diesel 10's Scrap Zone

Plot

It was an exciting day at the Dieselworks. Diesel 10 was going to build a scrap zone. 'Arry and Bert wanted to help, but Diesel 10 told them that Den, Dart, Norman, Sidney and Paxton are helping. Diesel told them that they need some machines, so Diesel 10 decided that the Pack can help too. 'Arry and Bert were sad that they got left out.

Diesel 10 asked some steamies to help. They really don't like being scrapped, but they do want to help. The Fat Controller told 'Arry and Bert to go to Brendam Docks. They are to collect some pipes. 'Arry and Bert thought that they were for the scrap zone.

When they came to Brendam Docks, Bert asked Cranky what the pipes are for. 'Arry was hoping they were for the scrap zone, but Cranky said that these pipes are for the workmen. They were building a new road near the Blue Mountain Quarry. The two diesels felt worried, but they still delivered the pipes on time. Luke saw that the two diesels are sad and he asked them what's the matter.

'Arry told Luke that they can't help with the scrap zone. After all, they like to scrap engines. Luke decided to cheer them up and showed them a rusty old wheel near the track. Luke asked them to take it to the scrap zone. 'Arry and Bert felt better. The wheel was put on the truck and the two diesels went back to the Dieselworks and the scrap zone.

'Arry and Bert went all the way to the Dieselworks, but suddenly, they saw Henry. He was pulling trucks full of engines and trucks ready for scrap. The two diesels felt worried. They went to dump their wheel. The two diesels came to Whiff's Waste Dump. Whiff and Scruff were having a rest before they start shunting again. They saw the two diesels and asked them what's going on. The diesels didn't answer.

They shunted their truck to the rubbish crusher. The crane grabbed the wheel and dumped it with the rest of the rubbish. Scruff asked what they are doing. Bert told Scruff that they want to do something for the scrap zone. Scruff thought of a suggestion. He took them to show a friend of his. His name is Flister. Scruff told him all about the scrap zone. Flister was happy to help.

Soon, the engines rolled all the way back to the Dieselworks. Scruff told Diesel 10 that they brought Flister over to be in charge. Diesel 10 thought that this is a great idea and showed Flister around the Dieselworks. 'Arry and Bert thought that they must have been helpful to the zone, but Diesel 10 thanked Scruff for the idea. They were dissapointed.

'Arry and Bert went to find something they can use for the Dieselworks. They were thinking of a bunch of flowers, but they decided not because a scrap zone would not need flowers cause it will be almost like a graveyard. But then, Bert said that a graveyard does need flowers. So, they went to find some flowers for the scrap zone.

Soon, they came to Knapford. Dowager Hatt was buying some flowers. They asked her if they can have some flowers. Dowager Hatt agreed. The flowers were loaded on 'Arry and Bert's truck and together, they went back to the Dieselworks. Thomas, Percy, Charlie and James were surprised to see flowers on 'Arry and Bert's truck. Percy asked Thomas what's going on, but Thomas wasn't sure.

'Arry and Bert found Diesel 10 with Flister and the Pack. They presented them the flowers. Diesel 10 was surprised. Flister can not believe it. Jack asked 'Arry and Bert why they have brought flowers. Bert explained that a graveyard is full of flowers, so they have decided that the scrap zone can have flowers too.

The Fat Controller was there and told them that a scrap zone doesn't need flowers. This zone will almost be like the other scrap yards on Sodor. 'Arry and Bert felt sorry and wished that they can do something for their scrap zone. Diesel 10 had a little think. Then, he decided that they can collect the sign for the scrap zone. The two diesels thought that this is a great idea.

Soon, they collected the sign for their scrap zone at Brendam Docks. The other engines and machines worked hard too and soon, the scrap zone was complete. Diesel 10 felt very proud of it. The Fat Controller thanked 'Arry and Bert for their hard work and told them that they're Really Useful diesels. Flister, Diesel 10 and the other engines agreed.

Emily and the Scuba Divers

Plot

Some scuba divers were coming to Sodor to give the children a diving lesson. Emily was asked to take them. Percy asked Thomas what are scuba divers and Thomas replied that they are people who scuba dive and swim underwater. Emily picked up the divers from Brendam Docks. Salty told her that he remembers some scuba divers on Sodor and he told Emily the whole story. That made Emily impressed.

As Emily went along the line, she wondered if the divers can scuba dive in other types of water. She saw a big flood on the tracks. Gordon was stuck in it. Emily was about to rescue him when she thought that maybe the divers can dive in this water. She asked the divers to try, but the flood was a bit short, the divers almost touched the tracks. They told Emily that this water is no good. Emily felt sad and went to help Gordon.

Emily was passing the Whispering Woods when she saw two children splashing in the puddles. She wondered if the divers can dive in the puddle. The divers looked at the puddle and told Emily that the water's too small to dive in. This made Emily dissapointed.

Diesel went oiling by and asked Emily what is she doing. Emily told him about the divers diving in more water. Diesel laughed and told Emily not to be silly. Then, he rolled off chuckling. Emily huffed and thought that the divers might like to dive in more water.

By now, Emily was a bit late. The divers are worried about not giving the children their diving lesson. Suddenly, Emily saw a swimming pool near the track. Thomas and Daisy had brought people to swim in it. Emily thought that maybe the divers would like to dive in the swimming pool. She asked the divers to join everyone in the pool. Thomas and Daisy were puzzled and asked Emily what she is doing.

The divers went to dive in the swimming pool. The Fat Controller was there and wondered what's going on. Everyone else at the pool were surprised too. The divers went on top of the diving board and landed with a splash. They liked it here and they did not care about the diving lesson.

The Fat Controller went to tell Emily what has happened. Emily felt silly and told him that it was all her fault. She only wanted the divers to dive in more water. The Fat Contoller kindly told Emily that divers only dive in the sea. Thomas and Daisy added that if they were diving in other water places, it will be silly. Emily knew now that she'll have to put everything right.

Everyone got the divers out the pool and back in Emily's coaches. Then, Emily puffed to the seaside where the children were waiting. The children all cheered as Emily and the divers arrived. Emily was pleased. The divers put diving clothes on the children and they all went to dive in the water. Emily watched them and promised not to take them to other water places again

Plot

The school children are excited because they are going to the Whispering Woods. Thomas and Percy are to take them. The children were very excited when they arrived at the woods. They had a great time seeing all the creatures and playing together. A boy had found a slug and put it on Percy's boiler. Percy was shocked. Thomas laughed and called him "Percy the Slug Engine". Percy didn't mind that.

Soon, Thomas had an idea. They could look for slugs around the Island and see if they slide on Percy's boiler as well. Percy thought that this was a great idea. So, the two engines went looking for slugs. They puffed into Knapford and saw Dowager Hatt looking worried. She told them that there's a slug in her lettuce.

Just then, Thomas thought that maybe Dowager Hatt could put the slug on Percy's boiler. Dowager Hatt was surpised, but she agreed. The slug slid up Percy's boiler and Percy giggled. Even Dowager Hatt found it funny. Then, Gordon and the other passengers laughed as well. Dowager Hatt told Percy that he looks smart with a slug on. Percy smiled.

The two engines puffed over to Topham Hall, where the Fat Controller lived. The Fat Controller and his grandchildren were watching slugs. Thomas asked them to put them on Percy's boiler. Sir Topham was surpised and asked Thomas why. Thomas told him that slugs on Percy's boiler makes him giggle and jiggle. The Fat Controller agreed and put the slugs on Percy's boiler. Percy giggled and jiggled when the slugs slid on him. The Fat Controller and his grandchildren laughed too and think that Percy is silly. But Percy didn't mind.

The two friends went along with the slugs sliding all over Percy's boiler. One even kissed Percy on the funnel. Percy blushed and Thomas said that it looks like the time Mrs. Kyndley's daughter kisssed you at her wedding. Percy remembered. Soon, Thomas and Percy had an idea. They wanted to find slugs on Misty Island. So, the two engines went through the tunnel and onto Misty Island.

Bash, Dash and Ferdinand were surprised to see some slugs on Percy's boiler. They all laughed very hard. Thomas asked them if there's any slugs on Misty Island. The Logging Locos said yes and showed them some slugs on Hee-Haw. They asked why they want slugs and Thomas told him that slugs on Percy's boiler makes him giggle and jiggle. The Logging Locos agreed and put the slugs on Percy's boiler. Soon, the slugs were sliding, slivering and kissing Percy. Percy laughed very hard.

Soon, James, Henry, Toby and Stafford came to Misty Island. When they saw the slugs on Percy's boiler, they laughed very, very hard. Stafford asked if they can put slugs all over them. Thomas agreed and put some slugs all over the engines. There were even some on Thomas and the Logging Locos! Soon, all the engines got slugs on them.

When they went back to Sodor, the Rescue Team laughed and Rocky asked what they were doing. Thomas told Rocky and the team all about the boy putting slugs on Percy's boiler. Flynn said that it is funny to have slugs all over them, but slugs are only allowed in the wild or in a garden. Percy understood and the engines took the slugs back to the Woods.

When they arrived, the boy said sorry to Percy and told him that he is only playing a trick. Percy smiled. He did like being Percy the Slug Engine, but he was very happy to see the slugs in the wild again. And he felt happy when the slugs kissed him!

Plot

Trevor had just finished working in the Vicarage Orchard when the Vicar arrived. He told him that he has a special. He has to help Fergus clear out the Steamworks. Kevin's crane arm is broken. That made Trevor excited because he knows that Fergus is a traction engine just like him, but he runs on rails.

Trevor waited for Fergus. Just then, Edward arrived. He asked Trevor why he's very excited and Trevor told him about him working with Fergus. Edward felt pleased and told him that working with another traction engine is a really fun thing to do. Trevor smiled in agreement.

Soon, Fergus arrived. He asked Trevor is he was ready and Trevor replied yes. Trevor got loaded on Fergus' flatbed thanks to Kelly. Soon, the two traction engines were off. Trevor was happy when the children cheered and the engines blew their whistles as they passed by. It wasn't long until they arrived at the Sodor Steamworks.

Victor greeted them and asked if they are excited to work. Trevor and Fergus agreed. Kevin couldn't use his crane arm to lift Trevor of the flatbed, so they had to use a ramp. Trevor didn't mind. Thomas was in the Steamworks and was happy to see his friend, Trevor. Trevor became so excited.

First, Victor told Trevor and Fergus to put the wheels in the storage shed. Fergus managed easily, but Trevor found this job hard and the wheels heavy. He strained with all his might, but suddenly made the trailer roll towards Gordon, who was entering the Steamworks. Trevor gasped and Fergus told him to do it right, like he always says.

Trevor said sorry and promised to be more careful. Next, Victor told the traction engines to get some paint for Toby. The red and brown paint are in Fergus' truck and the grey and black paint are in Trevor's trailer. Trevor soon found that pulling the paint is easy. He was just about to trundle towards Toby when Charlie sneaked in and blew his loud whistle.

Trevor jumped and made paint splat all over the Steamworks. Even on Victor. Charlie teased him and said that he liked Victor's new paint job. Victor got cross. Fergus told him to do it right again, but Trevor told him that it was Charlie who did it. Fergus then said that he did make a big mess everywhere. Trevor felt very sorry indeed.

Next, the traction engines had to move a big barrel and put it in Victor's shed. Fergus tried moving it with a truck, but it was very big and heavy. Trevor tried putting it in his trailer. It was all right, but when he tried putting it in the shed, it got stuck. Trevor tried his hardest, but he ended up making the big barrel fly into the air and land on Fergus. He couldn't see ahead.

Trevor gasped. He tried to push the barrel away, but it was no use. Trevor felt sad. He knew he couldn't do anything a crane would do. He told Victor that maybe the barrel is too big and that a traction engine couldn't do a job a crane like Kevin would do. Victor understood. He knew he shouldn't have invited Fergus and Trevor here.

Soon, Kevin came back and Victor told him all about the jobs he needed to do. Kevin was excited and worked hard. He moved Trevor's wheels, cleaned the Steamworks and removed the big barrel away from Fergus. Fergus was happy. Trevor said sorry for the big mess and promised not to come to help here anymore. Fergus understood about what Trevor had said.

Later, the Fat Controller and the Vicar came back. The Vicar told Fergus and Trevor that there are some logs that need removing in Henry's Forest. The two traction engines were excited and Trevor knew that this was a job you would never use a crane, if they used one! And the two friends went happily to the forest.

Edward's New Place

Plot

Edward was on his way to the Dieselworks to pick up traction rods. They were sent there by mistake and should be at the Steamworks. On the way, he puffed past some of his favourite places: the business of Knapford station, the view from Gordon's Hill and the sandy surf at the beach. Soon, he arrived at the Dieselworks. Diesel 10 shunted the traction rods and they were coupled up to Edward.

As Edward puffed along, he saw a little tunnel. It has automatic doors. Edward found it very strange. He went through the tunnel and saw a little forest. It had a pond and trees that were very grand. Thomas was exploring there with Salty. Salty told Edward that this forest used to be part of the Sodor line. The tunnel didn't have any automatic doors, but it was like a normal tunnel. The engines used to chuff around it. Edward thinks that this is a special place.

He decided to tell the other engines about it. He thinks it's better than the business of Knapford station, the view from Gordon's Hill and the sandy surf of the beach. When he arrived at the Steamworks, he told Victor, Kevin and Percy about the forest. Percy found that place exciting. Victor asked what it looks like. Edward decided to take the engines.

Percy followed on behind Edward and Victor and Kevin went on flatbeds. Soon, they arrived at the forest. Percy found it very grand. Victor suggested that a photographer should take a picture for everyone to see. So, the photographer took pictures of the beautiful forest. All the engines and people were delighted when they saw pictures at the stations.

James and Oliver were at the Coal Hopper talking to Edward. James asked if the forest is going to be his new favourite place. Edward hoped so, but Oliver thought so since it's better than the other sights of Sodor. Edward went away to collect stone from the Quarry.

Edward arrived at the Quarry. Bill and Ben arrived and asked Edward to tell them more about the forest. Edward blushed and told them that they will find out if they went there. Suddenly, Flynn arrived and told Edward that there's an emergancy in his new forest. Edward gasped.

Flynn explained that Hiro was going to look at Edward's new forest when the automatic doors shut too quickly on him. Edward quickly went to the Sodor Search and Rescue Centre to pick up some rope. Then, he weeshed quickly to save Hiro.

Hiro was stuck inside the tunnel. Edward told Hiro not to worry and soon attached the rope to him. Edward gave a big heave and soon, Hiro was out of the tunnel. The engines blew their whistles to congratulate Edward. That made Edward very happy. He saved an engine out of a place he discovered.

Soon, the doors were fixed and Hiro and Edward wooshed through the automatic tunnel to look at the forest. The Fat Controller told Edward that since he found the forest, he was going to called it Edward's Forest. That made Edward so happy, his firebox fizzled with pride.

Plot

Bertie was delivering passengers to Ffarquhar so Thomas can take over when he heard a pretty musical noise. He looked and saw Lady Hatt playing a harp. Bertie told Lady Hatt that this is a grand noise. Lady Hatt thanked him and Bertie dreamt about playing it. When he arrived at Ffarquhar, he told Thomas about the harp. That made Thomas impressed. Bertie wished he can play it.

Later, Bertie was taking some passengers to Wellsworth. Edward was going to take them the rest of the way. Bertie was so busy dreaming about playing the harp that he didn't see Percy and the mail crossing the level crossing. Bertie bumped into them. Percy told him to be careful. Bertie said sorry. But he still wished he can play the harp.

After delivering the passengers, Bertie had a Special. He was to collect a harp from the Dieselworks. He was very excited that he can play it. But when Diesel 10 told him that this harp is for the Sodor Museum, he was dissapointed. Bertie's driver also tried plucking the strings, but they were made of glass. Bertie was cross.

Soon, Bertie had got the harp to the Museum. But he was still upset. James saw Bertie was upset and asked him what's wrong. Bertie told him about wanting to play the harp and suddenly, James laughed. He told him that buses don't play harps. Bertie was cross.

Lady Hatt was going to play the harp for the grandchildren. But suddenly, the strings came loose. Lady Hatt ordered a new one and Molly had to collect it from Brendam Docks. When Bertie saw the harp on Molly's truck, he asked if he can play with it. But Molly said no and as James said, buses don't play harps. Bertie was cross. He wanted to play the harp. So, he followed after Molly.

Molly didn't know Bertie was following her. Bertie tried to catch up with Molly, but soon, the tracks left the road. That made Bertie very cross. Molly was nearly at Topham Hall. But she didn't know that the signalman had forgotten to switch the points. Molly ended up heading towards a set of buffers. She gave them a bump and the harp flew out of the truck. It landed on Bertie's road.

Bertie was shocked. He hoped the harp wasn't damaged. His driver tried plucking the strings and they worked. Bertie can't believe he was playing with the harp after all. Well, with help from his driver. Bertie's driver decided to play the harp so Molly, Lady Hatt and the grandchildren know where they are. Bertie thought it was a great idea.

Bertie's driver played the harp beautifully. The sound echoed around Sodor. Molly soon heard the sound and so did Lady Hatt and the grandchildren. In fact, all the engines heard the noise. They followed it and found Bertie. His driver wanted to give the harp, but Lady Hatt said that Bertie's driver can keep it. Bertie was excited and the driver played a lovely tune and everyone loved it. Especially the Fat Controller, who came back from work.

Gordon's Passenger Tour

Plot

The Fat Controller had gave Gordon a special job to do. He has to take some important passengers on a tour of the Island. Gordon was very excited. Thomas and Percy were delighted for Gordon. Gordon puffed proudly off to Brendam Docks.

All the passengers were happy to see Gordon. Gordon welcomed the passengers on board and they stepped in Gordon's coaches. James puffed over and said that he was taking people on a tour too and boasted that he can get all the passengers to see all the sights. That made Gordon cross and said that he can puff all around the Island more than you can. Gordon then blew his whistle and puffed out of the Docks.

Gordon came to Knapford. The passengers were impressed by all the business. They went exploring and even talked to other engines at the platform like Thomas, Hiro and Emily. Soon, James arrived and said that he'd been to Bluff's Cove. Gordon was cross to see that James had been to a place before him.

Soon, Gordon was off again. They stopped for some coal. The passengers were pleased to see the Coal Hopper. When Gordon has finished taking on coal, he saw James again, who'd been to Wellsworth and Misty Island. Gordon became furious. Donald asked why Gordon was feeling cross. Gordon then grumped and told him that he doesn't want to explain. He puffed angrily away.

Gordon raced through the countryside. He wanted to see all the sights before James. Then he had an idea. He decided to go on James' line and go to all the places he'd been. So, at the next junction, Gordon waited for James to come. Then, he quickly switched over to James' line. Spencer asked why Gordon was off the express line, but Gordon wooshed away.

Along the way, he passed other places he'd never been with the passengers including the Windmill, the Sodor Steamworks, the Blue Mountain Quarry and Maron. Soon, he climbed up the hill and came to Wellsworth. Edward asked Gordon to slow down, but he couldn't. Soon he rushed to Bluff's Cove and surprised a group of children on their school trip and soon was coming towards the Rescue Centre on his way to Misty Island.

Suddenly, Gordon saw a Jobi log flatbed and knew he couldn't stop in time. He screeched hard and crashed into the flatbed and the passengers jumped clear. James saw this and laughed at Gordon. He knew he'd get all the passengers to see the sights of Sodor. Gordon felt very sad. He was now derailled and knew he couldn't do a thing.

Bash, Dash and Ferdinand were called to help. Bash shunted the flatbed and Dash and Ferdinand went to find Rocky. Soon, Gordon was put back on track. He thanked the Logging Locos for help and they all replied that they are always to help. Rocky agreed.

Gordon found James and James said that he was sorry. Gordon accepted the apology and together, they finished showing all the passengers the sights of Sodor.

Back at Tidmouth, the Fat Controller told Gordon and James that they are Really Useful engines. The two engines were happy and learnt that they must work together and get everyone to see the sights.

Owen's Birthday Present

Plot

Today was Owen's birthday and he was excited. He boasted about that all morning to Merrick who grew bored. Merrick thought that Owen would like a presentt and asked the Narrow Gauge engines to help. Skarloey said they'd be happy to help.

All the engines went to look for a present. When they came to the Wharf, they saw a man playing an organ practising for the church. Peter Sam suggested that Owen could like an organ, but Duncan didn't think so and remembered the time an organ had to be replaced for his whistle when it came loose. So they decided not to give Owen an organ.

The engines soon came to Crovan's Gate and heard Toby ringing his bell. Rheneas thought Owen would like a bell, but Freddie interupted and told them that since the time he tried finding bells for the Thin Controller's bicycle, they're not getting one.

Skarloey then saw a drain pipe funnel, but Peter Sam didn't think so because Owen will look silly the way he did. The Narrow Gauge engines had tried, but they couldn't find a present.

They decided to find Thomas and ask him for help. They found him at the Transfer Yards. When Sir Handel explained the situation, Thomas agreed to help.

Thomas searched all over the Island. He tried looking at the Fishing Village, but the fish there is too smelly. He tried at Famer McColl's farm, but some pigs look muddy and the sheep are too woolly. He tried looking at the Steamworks, but some workmen were busy with paint. Thomas couldn't find anyting at all.

Thomas was on his way to tell the Narrow Gauge engines he was about to give up. He met Paxton at a junction. Paxton asked why Thomas is sad and Thomas told him all about not finding Owen a birthday present. Paxton smiled and told Thomas that he knew what Owen wanted. Thomas was puzzled and followed Paxton.

The engines came to the Blue Mountain Quarry and Paxton showed Thomas some trucks. Thomas asked why Owen would want trucks on his birthday. Paxton replied that he can lower the trucks down to load on the Standard Gauge trucks. Thomas was happy and told the little engines all about the trucks. They were very delighted.

Soon, Rusty brought the trucks to Owen and when he saw them, he was surprised. All the engines wished him a happy birthday and Owen smiled, telling Merrick that this is the best birthday ever. Merrick smiled and everyone enjoyed the party.

Luke's Sodor Tour

Plot

Thomas was working with Luke at the Blue Mountain Quarry when the Fat Controller and the Thin Controller arrived on Winston. They asked Thomas to show Luke the rest of the sights of Sodor. Luke was excited. When the two engines were ready to leave, the other engines gave Luke a special goodbye. Skarloey hoped Luke will come back soon.

Thomas first took Luke to Knapford Station. He loved the hustle and bustle and even spoke to Gordon. Gordon told him that he's the fastest engine on Sodor. Just then, Spencer arrived and said that he's even faster. Gordon then challanges Spencer to a race. As they sped off, Luke laughed and the two engines went off again.

Soon, they came to Henry's Tunnel where they met Henry himself. Henry told Luke about the time he wouldn't come out of the tunnnel so the rain wouldn't spoil his paint. Luke was impressed. Next, they went to Wellsworth where they saw Percy picking up the mail. Luke asked if this was the mail station, but Thomas told him that Percy collects the mail at every station. Edward then came and said that this station is on his branch line.

Thomas then took Luke to visit the Dieselworks. Luke was surprised to see that Diesels have a works too. Then he said that Rusty might come here. Thomas laughed and Diesel 10, Den and Dart came out and told Luke all about the Dieselworks. Paxton even came out to say hello.

Thomas took Luke everywhere. They went to Whiff's Waste Dump, Gordon's Hill, Maron, the Sodor Suspension Bridge and many more. Luke told Thomas that everything on Sodor is special. Thomas then said that everything is special on Misty Island.

Thomas took Luke to the Sodor Search and Rescue Centre where the tunnel leads to Misty Island. They rattled along and soon arrived on Misty Island. At the Logging Station, Luke got introduced to Bash, Dash and Ferdinand. They took Luke around Misty Island. Thomas hauled Luke to the Shake Shake Bridge. When Luke saw it wobbling, he was scared.

Thomas pulled Luke onto the bridge. Luke wobbled on the flatbed and with a big wobble, he fell off the flatbed and into the Logging Pond. Thomas gasped when he saw his little friend fall. Luckily, Luke didn't sink. He floated near the Jobi logs. Bash, Dash and Ferdinand asked what Thomas is going to do about it. Thomas knew what he would do.

He fetched Rocky from the Rescue Centre and took him to the bridge. Harold came too. Rocky lifted Luke on a safe track and Harold lifted him back on the flatbed and the engines cheered. Luke thanked Thomas, Rocky and Harold for saving him.

Soon, Thomas pulled Luke back to Sodor and went all the way to the Blue Mountain Quarry. The engines were pleased Luke was back. Skarloey asked how it went and Luke said that he had the scariest, but fun adventure yet on Sodor and Misty Island. Skarloey was glad. Suddenly, Rusty heard a noise in his engine. He had broken down. Luke suggested that Rusty could go to the Dieselworks. Everyone laughed, especially Thomas and his friend, Luke.

Thomas' Acting Role

Plot

The engines were all at Tidmouth Sheds when the Fat Controller arrives. He told the engines he has some exciting news. He told them that a pop star is coming to Sodor and he has asked the engines to be in his music video. The engines were excited. Thomas wondered about what he would do in the music video. He hadn't been in one before.

The engines met the pop star at Brendam Docks. His name was Paul Puffer. Percy asked if he got the name because of the funnel on his shirt, but Paul Puffer said that he got the name because he likes trains. James asked what the music video is called. Paul said that it's called The Trains of Sodor. The engines were impressed by that name. Then they all followed Paul Puffer to a special studio. Thomas tingled with excitement. He hoped he will do a good role.

The director talked to Thomas and told him what his part will be in the video. He told him that he will be puffing along with Annie and Clarabel to drop Paul off at Knapford Station. Thomas was puzzled and said that Knapford Station isn't in the studio. The director knew and said that he will put Thomas in front of a green screen so they could put the special effects on. Thomas was impressed.

The other engines were going to have parts too. Percy was going to be pulling the mail through the countryside, James, Emily and Toby will be at a junction and Gordon, Henry and Edward were going to be in Tidmouth. They will all have a green screen background. Even Harold, Bertie and Diesel were having parts in it.

To see what the places looked like in real life, the crew asked Thomas to take them around Sodor to look for inspiration for the places in the music video. Thomas took them everywhere and the crew made the graphics. Soon, it was time to start filming. Harold is to start the scene of by flying in the sky. But as Harold can't really fly, they'll have to put a wire to make him fly. They tried lots of takes, but soon, Harold's scene was finished. Harold then told the engines that this is why you'll never see him flying with a wire

Bertie and Diesel flimed their scenes. They were going to pass the screen before Thomas entered. Soon, it was time for Thomas' scene. Thomas was a bit nervous. He was worried he might make mistakes. The first take didn't go well. Thomas was running out of coal. They quickly brought Hector with some more. The second take was no good either. Thomas was coughing. His driver patted his chin and tried the third time. But Thomas accidently bumped on the wires of the cameras that were in the way. Thomas felt terrible. His scene didn't go well.

The crew decided to film the other engines' scenes first before they come back to Thomas and they will all sing the finale. The Fat Controller came to talk to Thomas. Thomas said that he was sorry because he is no good at being a actor. The Fat Controller wasn't cross. He felt sorry for Thomas. He told him not to worry and hopefully he will get the chance to be on film.

Later, it was time to try Thomas one more time. They filmed his scenes perfectly. Edward cheered Thomas on and Percy smiled at his friend. Later, they all had the best film news ever. All the engines will be singing together with Paul Puffer. They were all going to sing the final lines of the song. The Fat Controller is also going to be in the scene standing on a big box.

As they filmed, no one made mistakes. Thomas was glad it was over and when the music video premiered, the engines all thought Thomas was a star. The Fat Controller said he was Really Useful. Thomas beamed. He couldn't wait to be in another music video.

James and the Competition

Plot

The Fat Controller came to the shed and told the engines about a competition to see who has the best red coat of paint. Thomas told James that he might win. That made James hope that he will be the best red engine on Sodor. Before the competition, the Fat Controller sent James to collect some red trucks. They got painted for the competiton. James agreed.

As he chuffed to the Docks where the trucks were, he saw Bertie. He told him that he is going to the competition. After all, he is red. James was still hoping to be the best. He asked if Bulgy's taking part, but Bertie said he has decided to stay green.

James came to the Docks and saw his waiting trucks, He told Cranky that they look splendid, but he's the most splendid. Cranky didn't think so as he said that the trucks are sure the be the best in town. James coupled up to them and went away. The competition was to start in the Town Square, so James had to go there fast.

James came to a junction. There was a shortcut to the Town Square. But James didn't know that there was a big bush. He pushed his way through and came through the other side looking scruffy. Salty and Norman came along and when they saw James, they laughed. Salty said that James won't be the best if he's covered in leaves. James felt silly. He wanted to go to the washdown, but he hadn't got time. So he raced along with leaves all over his paintwork.

James was passing Wellsworth. He saw Jack digging near by. He was trying to be careful not to get his red paint dirty. He was going to the competition as well. Then, Flynn, who was going to the competition too, blew his horn so loud, Jack dropped the dirt all over James. Jack laughed and said that James is too messy to win at the competition.

James felt very silly. Puffing through Knapford, she saw a lady with chewing gum. But the gum was so big, it bursted all over James. The other engines at the station laughed and James sighed. James was nearly at the Town Square. He was very upset. Many of his red friends went by. Rocky was being pushed, Caroline, Max and Monty droved along and Victor and Skarloey and Rheneas were being pulled on flatbeds.

James was upset. Everyone was gleaming red except him. When he arrived at the Town Square, he was worried the Fat Controller would be cross with him. He was. He said he wanted clean red engines as well as rolling stock and road vehicles. James felt silly. He asked the Fat Controller if there was plenty of time to have a wash. The Fat Controller agreed.

So James had a quick wash and soon, he was bright red again At the competition, James was given a prize roset for the best red coat of paint. Everyone cheered and clapped and James felt proud to be redder than anyone else on Sodor.

Thomas' Easter Egg Hunt

Plot

It was Easter and there was going to be an Easter egg hunt for the children. Everyone was looking forward to it. Easter decorations were hunged around Knapford and all the engines were happy to help too. The Fat Controller wanted an engine to collect the Easter eggs from the Docks. Thomas wanted to do it, but the Fat Controller chose Spencer. That made Thomas dissapointed. Spencer wooshed off to Brendam to fetch the eggs. Thomas wasn't the only one jealous of Spencer's job. The others were too.

Later, Spencer came back. The workmen went to unload the eggs, but there was only one. Thomas and the other engines gasped and the Fat Controller sighed. Spencer noticed this too and thought that he must have gone too fast, the eggs flew out. Thomas decided to find the Easter eggs himself. It could be his own Easter egg hunt. The Fat Controller liked it and Thomas went off. Everyone wished him good luck.

First, he went to Brendam Docks to ask Cranky what happened to the eggs. Cranky told him that Spencer raced too fast out of the docks that one of the eggs rolled towards Salty's trucks. Salty showed Thomas the egg and there it was near the wheels of the truck. Thomas was happy. He got himself a little truck and went to find Spencer's eggs.

Thomas came to Maron. Stephen was there. Stephen said that there is a little oval thing near the platform. Thomas was quick to notice that the little oval thing was an egg. They loaded the egg and Thomas continued on his Easter egg hunt. He soon came to a junction. Hiro and Duck were looking at an egg near the tracks. Thomas was pleased he found another one.

Thomas then came to a level crossing. Bertie was there. He asked Thomas what he was doing and Thomas told him about his egg hunt. Bertie then said that there's an egg near the gates. Thomas was happy. The egg was loaded and Thomas continued searching for eggs.

Thomas' egg hunt went well. He found one at the Steamworks, then one at Maithwaite, one at the Wharf, one near Henry's Tunnel and one near the lighthouse. Thomas was hoping he would find another egg. Then, he saw one last egg. It was rolling near the line. Thomas tried to chase after it, but it was too fast. It got stuck at the top of Gordon's Hill and Thomas tried to biff it, but it rolled down and landed on Oliver's funnel. Oliver gasped.

Luckily the egg was not damaged. Oliver's driver carefully placed the egg into Thomas' truck and then, Thomas went straight to Knapford. On the way, he passed some pleased engines. There was Gordon and Henry, Rosie, Toby and Charlie. Thomas was happy his friends are pleased with him.

Thomas came back to Knapford. Everyone cheered as he came in with Spencer's missing eggs. Spencer said sorry for going too fast and promised to go more slowly. The Fat Controller was very proud of Thomas and set off hiding eggs around Knapford.

Soon, it was time for the Easter egg hunt to begin. All the engines watched as the children found all the Easter eggs. Thomas smiled and told everybody that today has been an egg-cellent day. That made everybody laugh.

Duck and the Banana Skins

Plot

Duck had to work at Whiff's Waste Dump with Whiff and Scruff. When Duck pulled into Whiff's Waste Dump, he whistled cheerfully at Whiff. Whiff then dropped his banana skins all over the track and Scruff slipped over them. Duck said sorry for whistling so loudly. Whiff forgave him and said that other banana skins might have fallen out too as there was a hole in his truck. Duck decided that he will find the banana skins. Whiff thought that was a great idea and decided to tell Duck where he went.

First, Whiff collected the banana skins at Farmer Trotter's farm. So, they went there. When they arrived, Whiff and Duck told Farmer Trotter about the skins. Farmer Trotter said that some yellow and dirty things are by the tracks. Duck smiled. They found the first bunch of skins. Thomas came by and saw them. He stopped in time and waited for Duck and Whiff's drivers to put the skins in a new truck they found.

The next place Whiff went was past the lighthouse. So, they went to the coastal track. When they came to the lighthouse, they found the skins and put them in the truck. Percy saw them working hard and told them to keep up the good work.

Whiff told Duck that next, he passed Sodor Dairy. They went off to the dairy, but had to wait a signal for Gordon to chuff by with the Express. Gordon blew his whistle as he passed. Soon, they came to the dairy. Spencer said that the skins are by the blue dairy van. When they loaded the truck up, Spencer said good luck finding more. Soon, the two engines were ready to find more skins.

They found some at Knapford, a couple at Bluff's Cove and some by Henry's Tunnel. Duck was very happy they found lots of skins. But Whiff said the final place he passed was the Windmill. So they hurried along to find the skins by the Windmill.

Diesel, 'Arry and Bert were by and trying to scare steamies. They failed because most of the engines said hello and some were not bothered at all. At last, they can see Whiff and Duck coming round the corner. They hoped that they will scare the engines silly.

As Whiff and Duck were nearing the Windmill, Diesel, 'Arry and Bert sneaked up behind and shouted "boo!". Duck and Whiff were so surprised, they bumped their truck and the skins flew everywhere. Whiff's driver said that the Diesels didn't just make them jump out of their skins, but they made the skins jump out of the trucks.

The Fat Controller was walking by and slipped on one of the banana skins. He gasped and asked what was going on. Duck told them it wasn't his or Whiff's fault. It was Diesel, 'Arry and Bert. The Fat Controller had a stern word with them and the Diesels said sorry. Now, Whiff and Duck's drivers have a big clean up to do. Everyone worked hard and soon, the skins were loaded.

Duck and Whiff puffed proudly into the Waste Dump. Scruff was very happy to see the skins. Now, they can push the bananas into the compost bin. They got to get ready for an inspection. Henry was coming with the Railway Inspector. The engines worked hard until the final skin was put in the compost bin.

Henry arrived with the Railway Inspector. The Railway Inspector was looking forward to inspecting the dump. Henry asked how they made the dump clean and free from rubbish. Duck replied that it was teamwork and being Really Useful.

Arthur's Helpful Day

Plot

Arthur always worked hard at the Fishing Village until one day, the Fat Controller asks him to have a day off. Arthur was excited. He wooshed off to find something to do. He met Mavis at Kellsthorpe. Mavis was struggling with some rocks. They were very heavy. Arthur decided to help out. So, he got to the back of the train and helped Mavis carry the rocks to the quarry. Mavis was surprised that Arthur is helping and Arthur decided to be helpful all day.

As Arthur went past the lighthouse, he saw Duck was worried. Duck told him that his trucks are being very troublesome. Arthur thought that he would help calm the trucks down, so he took some of Duck's trucks and biffed them very hard. That made the trucks less troublesome. Duck said thank you to Arthur and whistled goodbye.

Arthur was being very helpful. Then, he saw Thomas with Annie and Clarabel. Arthur asked what was wrong. Thomas said that he has popped a piston. He can't go anywhere. Arthur decided to take Thomas to the Steamworks. Thomas was worried about Annie and Clarabel, but Arthur said that he would ask Percy to pull them.

The engines soon arrived at the Steamworks. Percy was just there finishing having his new paintwork. Arthur asked him to pull Thomas' coaches and Percy agreed. Arthur was happy he was helping everybody today. He thinks he must be a very helpful engine.

Later, Arthur saw Sidney. Sidney was lost going back to the Dieselworks. Arthur was happy to help show him the way. Sidney felt grateful when he returned. Then, Arthur saw Harold who can't find a ginger cat with a broken leg. Arthur said that it was just near Henry's Forest. Harold was happy. Then, Arthur saw James, Henry and Rosie. They were looking for the Windmill by Cronk. Arthur said that the Windmill is just round the corner. That made the three engines smiled. Now, they can deliver the grain.

Arthur was having a lovely time. He had been Really Useful and really helpful. Just then, Arthur saw a runaway truck rolling past him. The truck had been uncoupled from Scruff. It had smelly rubbish in. Arthur tried to catch it. He raced all over the Island and even scared Paxton and Belle who were waiting at a junction. Arthur was rushing all over the Island until he finally caught up with it at Ulfstead Castle. He bumped into it, but before he can stop, he felt himself skidding off the tracks.

Sir Robert Norramby saw all this and rang the Sodor Search and Rescue Centre. Thomas, Percy and Scruff were at the Rescue Centre when they heard the news. Scruff thought his truck must be there too. So, Thomas and Percy got coupled up to Rocky and Scruff followed on behind.

They soon arrived and Scruff saw his truck. Millie was there, surprised at what she saw. Soon, Arthur was back on track. Thomas told Arthur that he didn't just helped them, they helped him. Arthur was happy, but worried he didn't rescue anything that time. But Scruff said that he did save his rubbish truck. That made Arthur feel better.

At the Steamworks, Arthur was being repaired. The Fat Controller came by and told Arthur that he did have a busy day helping friends and ended up being helped himself, but it was time to go back to the Fishing Village where he belongs. Arthur was happy and Victor asked what he will do next time someone needs help. Arthur chuckled and said that he will be careful. That made everyone laugh.

Thomas And The Runaway Trucks

Plot:

The Fat Controller tells Thomas and Percy to meet him at Knapford Station. He has a special job for them. They are told to collect the newly imported fruit from the docks at 1PM. But before that, Thomas is told to take shunt some trucks at the quarry. However, when Thomas arrives, the trucks are in a bad mood, and don't want to be moved. So when Thomas gets cross with them, they make a plan. When Thomas tries to pull them backwards, they push themsleves forward. Eventually, Thomas' coupling breaks, and the truck's fall down the hill. Thomas chases after them.

The trucks eventually roll past a red signal, when Gordon is coming through with the express. He stops just in time, Thomas says sorry, and they continue with their jobs.

Meanwhile, Percy's worried. He's waiting at the docks and it's 1PM. Salty tells him not to be, but he can't stop thinking about it.

A few minutes later, the trucks come to a hill. there are two routes below it; A dangerous mine, or the route they were on now. They slowly climb up the hill until they finally stop. Thomas has a sigh of relief. But then they fall back down! Into the mine! Thomas groans, and goes in (Backwards, due to the fact there was no place to turn around.).

After a few turns, Thomas and the trucks come close to a buffer. However, Thomas can't see this, since he's facing the other way. He only realises it when he hears the trucks crash through the buffers. He tries to stop, but it's too late. He crashes through the buffers and bashes into the trucks, leaving him very dirty and very unhappy.

Later that day, The Fat Controller comes and speaks severely to him. He tells him that he'll have to go to the Steamworks to get his coupling fixed, then to sheds. Percy would have to do the job alone and in small groups.

Meanwhile, Percy is trying to get the fruit trucks to behave. They are refusing to move, and are laughing at Percy's attempts to pull them up Gordon's Hill. He's very cross. The Fat Controller realises the problem and tries to find an engine to help. However, the only engine out of work is Thomas, who is very sad and very sorry. The Fat Controller asks if he can trust Thomas to handle the trucks and not let them run away like last time. Thomas happily says 'Yes' and rushes off to help his friend.

By the time Thomas comes to help, the trucks were more troublesome than ever. 'Please help me,' sighs poor Percy. So Thomas attaches himself to the back of the trucks, and the pair try to set off. However, the trucks are still refusing to move. Thomas is about to push harder, but then he remembers what happened earlier, and pushes gently. Eventually, the trucks start to move, and they get the job done. It's 3PM when they finish. The Fat Controller asks why they took so long, and they tell him about the misbehaving trucks. He understands, and says that it's better to be late than never. Thomas and Percy then go back to Tidmouth Sheds and the episode ends.
