  • (We then show the Thomas Season 5 intro and we afterwards begin Thomas and The Rumours)
  • Alec Baldwin: Thomas the Tank Engine loves his branch line. One day, when he stopped at a small station, some children looked sad.
  • Girl: They closed our playground and our favorite sand pit.
  • Boy: Teacher said the sand is soil and too dirty play in.
  • Children: Please help us Thomas.
  • Thomas: I'll see what I can do.
  • Alec Baldwin: Replied Thomas kindly. Thomas hoped things weren't quite as bad as the children had made them out to be. But as he passed their playground, a large sign read: Playground Closed Until Further Notice.
  • Thomas: The Children were right.
  • Alec Baldwin: Thought Thomas sadly. He puffed into the yard and was just about to tell the other engines about the playground when Percy rushed in.
  • Gordon: You look glum, little Percy.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Gordon.
  • Percy: Sir Topham Hatt told driver that he's using Harold to show a visitor the island instead of any of us engines.
  • Gordon: Despicable!
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Gordon.
  • Henry: Disgusting!
  • Alec Baldwin: Snorted Henry.
  • James: Engines are meant to take visitors around our island not that whirlybird thing.
  • Alec Baldwin: James exclaimed. Gordon was the first to see Harold.
  • Gordon: Harold thinks he can go faster than me. I'll show him.
  • Alec Baldwin: Next, it was Henry's turn.
  • Henry: Sir Topham Hatt has chosen Harold because he's more important than me. Well he's not. Harold can't fly through tunnels.
  • Alec Baldwin: Percy stopped by a signal on his branch line near a field were sheep were grazing. Harold hovered for a while then buzzed away.
  • Percy: I know what's he's doing. He's just counting sheep.
  • Alec Baldwin: And Percy puffed along his line, feeling much better about his things. That evening, the engines talked about the situation.
  • Gordon: Harold wants to get rid of us.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Gordon.
  • Henry: He doesn't need tunnels.
  • Alec Baldwin: Added Henry.
  • Percy: Don't worry, he's just counting sheep.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Percy.
  • Gordon: Counting sheep? Pah!
  • Alec Baldwin: Snorted Gordon.
  • Gordon: He's counting how many engines he can get rid of. He'll see how useful I am tomorrow.
  • Alec Baldwin: Thomas wanted to mention the children's playground, but solving the mystery of Harold and the visitor came first. The next day, Gordon was travelling to collect his train.
  • Driver: We'll show that whirlybird just how fast you can go, Gordon.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said his driver. But because they were watching Harold, they missed a signal and went onto the wrong line. Gordon was travelling to trouble. Ahead was a tunnel under repair. His driver reduced steam and braked hard, but it was too late.
  • (Gordon crashes into the tunnel)
  • Alec Baldwin: Later, Thomas pulled Gordon clear with the breakdown train. Sir Topham Hatt spoke severly to Gordon's Driver.
  • Thomas: Will Gordon be scrapped, sir?
  • Alec Baldwin: Asked Thomas sadly.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: What makes you think that?
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Sir Topham Hatt. Thomas decided to pluck up courage.
  • Thomas: Because the engines think the visitor was here to see if he can be replaced by Harold.
  • Alec Baldwin: Sir Topham Hatt laughed.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Well the engines are wrong and you shouldn't listened to rumours, Thomas. This gentleman is making a new playground for the children. It was easy to find a suitable site from up in the air.
  • Visitor: And what's more.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said the visitor.
  • Visitor: That tunnel sand will be perfect for the playground. Sand we found by accident you might say.
  • Alec Baldwin: Sir Topham Hatt still uses Harold to fly above the island. But all the engines know that Harold is spying on them. He is just being very useful.
  • (A passing by sequence occurs and we begin Harold The Helicopter)
  • Children: (singing) Who do you call when the chips are down? When your back is against the wall. When there's no way out and time is running out and you're heading for a fall? High in the sky. Suddenly comes the hero. You can rely on him. Harold the Helicopter, pride of the skies. First to the rescue should help be required. Harold the Helicopter, brave is he. Courage is his name. So look to the skies, should danger arise. Look to the skies, for Harold will be there. He is a natural hero. He is guardian of the skies. And down through the years there are many tales of his courage in the skies. Out from the clouds. Suddenly comes the hero. We recognize that sound. Harold the Helicopter, pride of the skies. First to the rescue should help be required. Harold the Helicopter, brave is he. Courage is his name. So look to the skies, should danger arise. Reach for the sky, for Harold will be there. Harold the Helicopter, pride of the skies. First to the rescue should help be required. Harold the Helicopter, brave is he. Courage is his name. So look to the skies. See how he flies. You can rely, Harold will be there.
  • (Another passing by sequence occurs and we begin Duncan Gets Spooked)
  • Alec Baldwin: The little engines were busy clearing their railroad of leaves and broken branches. Peter Sam and Rusty often work together. One day, Rusty helped Peter Sam to a water tower. Peter Sam felt much better after his long drink, but the freight cars were bored.
  • Freight Cars: Let's break away.
  • Alec Baldwin: Their loads were heavy and the coupling old. One snapped.
  • Freight Cars: Faster, faster!
  • Alec Baldwin: Shouted the freight cars. A sign read: Slow Steep Bends and Ravine Ahead. But the silly freight cars never saw it. Then, it was too late.
  • (The freight cars fall down into the ravine)
  • Alec Baldwin: Peter Sam arrived at the scene of the disaster. His driver sighed.
  • Peter Sam's Driver: This was our fault. We didn't secure them properly. We'll have to get help to pull them out. Sir Topham Hatt will be very annoyed.
  • Alec Baldwin: And he was.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: You will work in the yard until I can trust you again.
  • Alec Baldwin: Duncan was delighted with Peter Sam's dilemma.
  • Duncan: Fancy not securing your freight cars on a hill. They'll come back to spook you and your special funnel. Whoooo!
  • Rusty: And who's to say you're not afraid of ghosts!
  • Alec Baldwin: Snapped Rusty.
  • Duncan: Ghosts!? Things that go bump in the night, Rubbish!
  • Rusty: Well I'll tell you a story that will make your funnel quiver.
  • Alec Baldwin: Rusty said.
  • Rusty: A long time ago, a little engine was returning home. It was a misty moonlight night. Suddenly, the engine lost control and plunged over the side into the swamps below.
  • (A little engine falls into the swamps)
  • Rusty: He was never found again. But many of workmen will tell you that when the moon is full, They had seen the little engine trying to get home. But he never reached the other side. So what did you think of that, Duncan?
  • Duncan: Rubbish!
  • Alec Baldwin: Replied Duncan.
  • Rusty: Never mind him, Peter Sam. He'd be frightened if he really saw a ghost.
  • Alec Baldwin: This gave Peter Sam's driver an idea.
  • Peter Sam's Driver: Let's play a trick on Duncan.
  • Alec Baldwin: The next day he spoke to Duncan's driver and fireman who agreed.
  • Duncan's Driver: We'll do it, tonight.
  • Alec Baldwin: Duncan had to take coal cars to the slate mine and then bring cars back. Duncan's driver decided as part of a plan to cross the old iron bridge.
  • Duncan: Haunted bridge, rubbish!
  • Alec Baldwin: Snorted Duncan.
  • Duncan: It's as tame as a pet rabbit's.
  • Alec Baldwin: But all the same, he kept thinking about Rusty's story. When dusk fell, he was keen to leave.
  • Duncan: If we don't go now, Skarloey will take my favorite place in the shed.
  • Duncan's Driver: We have to collect our cars first.
  • Alec Baldwin: His driver replied. He could see the plan was working because Duncan was nervous. When night fell, they set off. The mist were rising around the old iron bridge. Duncan whistled and the sound echoed everywhere. Then, ahead, he saw flickering lights. His driver knew they were only insects that shine brightly at night, but to Duncan they look like an engine. Next, his driver secretly threw a rock from the cab into the ravine below.
  • Duncan: It's the ghost! Take me back! Take me back, please!
  • Alec Baldwin: When Duncan reached the safety of his shed, he closed his eyes tightly.
  • Duncan's Driver: Spooked are you, Duncan?
  • Alec Baldwin: Laughed his driver.
  • Duncan: No! I'm asleep!
  • Alec Baldwin: And Duncan refused to open his eyes. He did though when he thought his driver wasn't looking just to make sure that he was still there.
  • (Another passing by sequence occurs and we begin Come For The Ride)
  • Girl: (singing) All your friends on the railway would like you all to see.
  • Children: (singing) Just how much fun rockin' on the railway can be.
  • Boy: (singing) So won't you come along and join them for the ride.
  • Children: (singing) Just hang on tight, catch your breath, and come for the ride! Rockin', rockin' on the railway, Rollin', rollin' on the railway, Movin', movin' down the line, Swingin', sway from side to side. They'll be rockin' an' a-rollin' won't you come for the ride of your life?
  • Boy: (singing) Watch Duncan go, he can really rock 'n' roll.
  • Children: (singing) He can slip, he can slide, he can sway from side to side.

Soon the coach was rockin', it swayed from side to side.
  • Girl: (singing) With the bath water spillin' and a-splashin' inside.
  • Children: (singing) Rockin', rockin' on the railway, Rollin', rollin' on the railway Movin', movin' down the line, Swingin', sway from side to side. • (Thomas' whistle toots)
  • (Another passing by sequence occurs and we begin A Big Surprise For Percy)
  • Alec Baldwin: Percy was working in the coal yards. He was feeling bored and lonely with only the silly freight cars for company.
  • Driver: Cheer up, Percy.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said his driver.
  • Driver: Sir Topham Hatt has told me that we must be here again tomorrow. We've just got to get the best of a bad situation.
  • Percy: I'll try, sir.
  • Alec Baldwin: Sighed Percy. Next morning, the freight cars started teasing Percy.
  • Cars: Percy, Percy, green and small, he's no use to us at all, around the yard to puff and blow but on a hills, he's oh so slow!
  • Percy: Be quiet!
  • Alec Baldwin: Then he took the freight cars to the coal hopper to be loaded up. Percy still felt glum as he puffed up to the top of the hill. He parked his freight cars and then set off back down the mines. Not even a cheerful sight of Bertie the Bus could bring a smile to Percy's face.
  • Bertie: What's the matter, Percy?
  • Alec Baldwin: Asked Bertie.
  • Percy: Nothing exciting ever happens. That's the matter.
  • Alec Baldwin: Sighed Percy.
  • Percy: It's just coal coal coal and cars cars cars. I'm bored bored bored.
  • Bertie: Excitement is surprising.
  • Alec Baldwin: Observed Bertie.
  • Bertie: You never know when it'll happen. Overwise, it wouldn't be exciting. Toodle peep.
  • Percy: It would be surprising if something surprising happened.
  • Alec Baldwin: Muttered Percy. Later, he stopped by the water tower for a drink.
  • Toby: Hello, Percy. How are things?
  • Alec Baldwin: Asked Toby.
  • Percy: Boring.
  • Toby: Well, why not have a few spins on a turntable? You'll like that.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Toby.
  • Percy: I think it just make me feel giddy.
  • Alec Baldwin: Percy's driver interrupted.
  • Driver: Stop gossiping, you two.
  • Toby: Cheer up, Percy. You soon know about cars than any other engine. That'll be exciting.
  • Alec Baldwin: Called Toby. The freight cars were still grumpy and there was more of them then ever.
  • Cars: You much too small to pull one of us. We want another engine who would be struggling at the hill all night! All night, all right, you can puff and blow, but on a hill, you're still slow! Ha, ha!
  • Percy: Slow yourself!
  • Alec Baldwin: Stuttered Percy.
  • Cars: Temper, temper.
  • Alec Baldwin: Giggled the cars. Percy decided to simply carry on.
  • Driver: Go to it, Percy.
  • Alec Baldwin: Shouted his driver. The freight cars were still joking.
  • Cars: Too slow, more power, here all night, tomorrow too!
  • Percy: Be quiet!
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Percy angrily. Then there was trouble. A coupling broke.
  • Cars: Surprise, surprise! Catch us if you can!
  • Percy: Oh, no!
  • Alec Baldwin: Cried Percy.
  • (The freight cars speed away from Percy and pass Bertie)
  • Alec Baldwin: Percy's driver phoned the signalman and the yard forman told Sir Topham Hatt what was happening.
  • Yard Foreman: They're heading for the big hill! It'll slow them down but they roll back again right into the village.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Then we'll just have to stop them, won't we?
  • Alec Baldwin: The chase was on.
  • (Sir Topham Hatt and Bertie go after the runaway cars)
  • Alec Baldwin: As they approach the hill, they overtook the freight cars. Sir Topham Hatt and Bertie screeched to a halt, and waited for them near the top. The hill slow the freight cars right down to a stand still. Then the men quickly put wooden blocks behind their wheels so they couldn't roll backwards. The freight cars were now secured. Just then, Percy arrived.
  • Bertie: Well, what do you think of that?
  • Alec Baldwin: Joked Bertie.
  • Bertie: A good chase is always exciting.
  • Percy: It was certainly a surprise.
  • Alec Baldwin: Decided Percy.
  • Percy: And you are right, Bertie. A really useful engine should never be surprise by surprise.
  • (Another passing by sequence occurs and we begin The Island Song)
  • Children: (singing) Picture a land where the sky is so blue. A storybook land of wonder. A magical island just waiting for you. Island of Sodor will make your dreams come true. Imagine a place where the sun always smiles. The valleys are green as can be. The friends that you love are all waiting for you. Island of Sodor will make your dreams come true. Children follow the dream. To the land of make-believe. The Island of Sodor. A magical land where dreams come true.
  • Girl: Follow the road that leads to a dream over the hills and mountains. Look for the skies with stars in their eyes.
  • Children: (singing) Island of Sodor will make your dreams come true. Children follow the dream. To the land of make-believe. The Island of Sodor. A magical land where dreams come true. Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh. The Island of Sodor. A magical land where dreams come true.
  • (Following the last song, we find the end credits with Thomas looking at us)
  • (While they roll, the Thomas end theme plays)
  • (After that, the A Britt Allcroft Production logo appears)
