Part One

Narrator: It is a busy day on the Island of Sodor. The engines are puffing and pulling trains. One day, they were resting in the shed. Sir Topham Hatt arrived.

Sir Topham Hatt: Today, the railway harbour is here. You are going to work with them.

Narrator: The engines were delighted. They arrived at the Bigg City Railway. There are seven engines worked at on the dockside railway at Island of Sodor. The first engine is Ten Cents, a little LBSCR Billington E2-Class 0-6-0 tank engine, the second is Big Mac, the biggest and strongest engine of all-a BR standard class 9F goods engine, the third is OJ, one of the railway's oldest engine - North Eastern Railway's 2-2-4T, the fourth is Top Hat, a railway LNER Class A4 express engine, the fifth is Warrior, one of the railway's strongest engine - LNER Class B12, the sixth is Hercules, the rail-going engine - LNER Class A3 4-6-2, the seventh is Sunshine, a little GWR Avonside saddle tank engine with No. 1430 "Trojan" body shape and 1361 Class Bunker, and the eighth is Grampus, a narrow gauge engine - Talyllyn Railway's "Edward Thomas". {the engines whistles-Ten Cent's whistle/hooter's tone is strident but middle-pitched and Ten Cents almost always sounds it in a quick double-or-triple-bursts, as opposed to his gruff personality, Big Mac is fitted with a rich and melodic chime whistle, OJ's whistle is the deepest of the Star Engine's, and has a distinct 'warble' in it, sounding very much like a distress klaxon sounded for short bursts, like OJ, Top Hat's whistle is very deeply pitched, but softened somewhat in comparison with OJ's - he is also fitted with a fog-horn, Warrior's whistle has a single note and is very nasal, much like a factory hooter, like Big Mac, Hercules is fitted with a chime whistle, but one with a 'cleaner' sound and a two-tone signiture, and Sunshine's is middle-to-high pitched and has a distinct 'whooping' sound.} They are all good crew and becomes the Star Engines. One day, they were at the seven-space shed. Captain Star arrived and introduced the Star Engines to Sir Topham Hatt's engine.

Captain Star: Star Fleet, meet Thomas, Edward, Henry, Gordon, James, Percy, Toby, Duck, Donald, Douglas, Oliver and Emily. They're Sir Topham Hatt's engines.

Ten Cents: {East End Cockney accent} Hello, Thomas.

Top Hat: {Upper Class (Posh English) accent} What?!? Only good for day work, is he? Sir Topham Hatt's engines come to work with us.

James: Top Hat, you're with me.

Thomas: I will do it, Captain Star. You're funny, Top Hat.

Ten Cents: Maybe he'll brighten you up a bit, Top Hat!

{The other engines laugh at Top Hat}

Top Hat: I resent that!

Captain Star: The royal train is coming, and we're to pull it.

Big Mac: {distinctively broad Glaswegian accent} Is it coaches or trucks?

Captain Star: Coaches.

Gordon: Express coaches are belong to express engines.

Warrior: {deep voice and a probably South London accent} I'm an express engine, like Gordon.

Henry: You have a deep voice unlike me, Warrior.

OJ: {Welsh accent} I'm too old to pull the Royal train.

Toby: Me, too!

Captain Star: Star Engines and Sir Topham Hatt's Engines, you are all pull the Royal train today.

Top Hat: I'm not happy about this.

Narrator: Our biggest rival on the railway is Captain Star and his Z-Stacks engines were at the five-space shed. The first is Zorran, the evil and scheming L&YR Aspinall Class 27/Hughes Class 28 2-6-0 hybrid engine with a Fowler tender, the second is Zebedee, the rogue engine - LMS Ivatt Class 2MT 2-6-2T, the third is Zak, a threatening SR Bulleid Q1 engine, the fourth is Zug, a little Bagnall 0-4-0 saddle tank engine, and the fifth is Zip, a silly, stupid Hudswell Clark/Kiston No.5459/Austin No.1 hybrid tank engine.

Captain Zero: {(exact region uncertain) Scottish accent} Zero Engines, the railway will be scheduled... {The Z-Stack engines moan, groan and grumble} ...And I'm not happy!

Zorran: {neutral English accent (with lashings of Cockney)} We're not smiling, Captain Zero!

Captain Zero: I'm glad you don't find it funny, Zorran. Now I want that contract and you're going to get it for me! {The Z-Stack engines moan, groan and grumble again}

Zip: {neutral English accent} Duuh, but how? I though that-

Captain Zero: I don't expect you to think!

Zip: Oh...

Captain Zero: You're scheme is way better and more devious.

Zak: {gruff Cockney accent} I like that bit about "better looking". {chuckles}

Zip: Duuh, what's devious?

Captain Zero: What's devious?!? It's necessary to find the word you don't to get the saying about! Now go and find the Royal train, there's no time to loose!

Zorran: No problem. That captain controller will be back here, and my name is Zorran.

Zip: But it is Zorran! Duuh, is it?

Narrator: Hercules was waiting for the royal train when Ten Cents arrive and he talked to Hercules.

Ten Cents: Hercules, I'm pulling the royal train with my best friend, Sunshine.

Hercules: {clear, soft tone and a politically correct (P.C.) English accent} I know. It's here, ma' dears.

Ten Cents: Can you help me, Hercules?

Hercules: Yes, darling. I'll be back tonight oh and Ten Cents, look after the Royal train for me won't you? {Hercules puffs away. OJ whistles and puffs in.}

OJ: Ten Cents, has that Sunshine found you yet?

Ten Cents: OJ, I found Sunshine, a few years ago. Thomas, will you pull the Royal train.

Thomas: Yes, Ten Cents.

Percy: Ten Cents! Thomas! Sunshine is coming.

Narrator: Ten Cents moved slowly forward, but was bumped by Sunshine in alarm.

Ten Cents: Oops!

Narrator: Sunshine addressed him in a voice that started sound a bit tremulous, but soon regains it usual happy tone. Most of the time he whistled when he spoke, because he was missing some of his front teeth.

Sunshine: {usual sweet, happy tone and a rather soft Newcastle (or Geordie) accent} Sorry, Ten Cents!

Ten Cents: That's ok, Sunshine. Are you Captain Star's engine?

Sunshine: Yes {whistles}

Percy: Sunshine, the royal train is coming.

Sunshine: Yes, it is.

Thomas: I know Percy. Come on.

Narrator: Thomas and Percy puffed away.

Ten Cents: {to Sunshine} Do you understand?

Sunshine: Aye aye sir!

Ten Cents: Now you see, you only call Captain Star "sir". I'm just Ten Cents, okay?

Sunshine: Yes! Eh... sure thing... Ten... Cents!

Narrator: Ten Cents and Sunshine puffed away. Meanwhile, a steam garrett engine from a Mexican Railway was resting in a siding when Zorran and Zak came by.

Zorran: Well, well, well! Look whose trying to pull trains? Senor Gonzales!

Senor Gonzales: Yeah, you guys! I need to pull a train.

Zak: {sarcastically} We don't have a train to pull.

Zorran: {to Senor Gonzales} What do you known about it, you South American heap of junk?

Senor Gonazles: What do you mean?

Zorran: The royal train is pulled by the other engines.

Zak: But how did...

Zorran: Shut up, dinky brain! ...Come on!

Narrator: Zorran and Zak left.

Senor Gonazles: Hey?? What about my train...?

Narrator: Captain Zero was talking to his Z-Stacks in the shed.

Captain Zero: You think it is?

Zorran:"' See my eyes!

Zak: Yeah, we both see them!

Captain Zero: Now I want that contract and you're going to get it for me!

Zorran: Yes, sir!

Narrator: Thomas, Percy, Ten Cents and Sunshine arrive shunting trucks at the Bigg City Yard. They stopped suddenly when he saw Emily that parked Emily's rear next to him.

Emily: Hi, Thomas. Hi, Percy. Hi, Ten Cents. Hi, Sunshine.

Sunshine: Hel_lo {whistles} Emily!

Thomas: {blushing with shyness} Ummm... hello...

Emily: Thomas, are you my boyfriend?

Thomas: Yes!

Percy: Thomas is in love with Emily again.

Ten Cents: How romantic.

Sunshine: Yeah!

Narrator: Thomas had been in love with Emily for the very first time ever. Zorran, Zug and Zip were at the other siding, thinking of ways to get rid of the Star Engines.

Zorran: {to Zip and Zug} His route is close to the mud banks, okay?

Zip: Duuh, so?

Zorran: So, just stuff him onto one! Okay, stupid?

Zug: {Eastern European accent (though to be Estonian} You've done it before to yourself Zip, so you'll soon catch on.

Zip: Uh, I'll catch on, Zorran.

Zorran: You bumbling fools, you are going to take them down.

Zip: {crossly} Duuh, I don't think so!

Narrator: Warrior came up to Senor Gonzales.

Senor Gonzales: Hey, Warrior. Where you been? I had a train.

Warrior: Senor, I was pulling a heavy goods train, you know, you do.

Senor Gonzales: That's right, Warrior.

Edward: Warrior, is it time to pull?

Warrior: Yes, Edward.

Toby: The royal train is here.

Narrator: Edward, Toby and Warrior puffed away. The great day came. Edward, Percy, Toby, Henry, James, Gordon, Duck, Donald, Douglas, Oliver, Emily, Ten Cents, Big Mac, OJ, Top Hat, Warrior and Hercules worked hard bringing people to the town. Thomas and Sunshine sorted all their coaches in the Yard. Sunshine had to take some of coaches from the Yard into the station. The people got out, the Guard and the Station Master walked up and down, the porters banged the doors, and Zorran came.

Top Hat: {to Sunshine} As it seems, we've found out the accident wasn't you're fault, so everything's okay now!

Sunshine: Huh? Really?

Ten Cents: An apology from Top Hat! I don't believe it!

Henry: You'll have to do it then, Sunshine.

Edward: Be quick now!

Narrator: So Sunshine ran round to the front and backed up to the coaches, ready to start. What happens then, no one knows. Perhaps they uncoupled three coaches to the train, perhaps Sunshine was too impatient to wait till they were ready, or perhaps his Driver pulled the lever by mistake. Anyhow, Sunshine started. People shouted and waved at him, engines shouted and whistled at him, but he didn't stop.

Sunshine: {to himself} They're waving because I'm such a splendid engine. Zorran says it's hard to pull trains, but I think it's easy. Hurry! Hurry! Hurry!

Narrator: As he passed the first signal box, he saw the men leaning, waving and shouting. Zorran was behind the train. He was cross and didn't care what Sunshine did. He waited till Sunshine passed the signalbox

Zorran: I'll show him! I'll show him!

Sunshine: They're pleased to see me. They've never seen me pulling a train before. It's nice of them to wave. {whistle} Peep, peep, thank, you.

Narrator: Sunshine hurried on. Zorran hissed, and moved slowly foward. He only meant to go a little what to bumped the coaches, bumping Sunshine off the rails. Sunshine derailed himself and, slithering down the embankment, he settled in a ditch.

Sunshine: Oooosh!

Narrator: His wheels churned the mud. Zorran was very pleased with himself, and slithered away. Sunshine was in a mud, very sad.

Part Two

The engines worked hard bringing people to town.

Edward: Peep! Peep! Peep! They're coming!

Narrator: Edward, Gordon, Donald and Douglas steamed in, looking smart with flags and bright paint. Two minutes passed-five-seven-ten. {a whistle is heard} Everyone know that whistle, and a mighty cheer went up as the King and Queen's train glided into the station. Flying Scotsman was spotless, and his brass shined. Like Edward, Gordon, Donald and Douglas, he was decorated with flags, but on his buffer beam he proudly carried the Royal Arms. The King and Queen was met by Sir Topham Hatt, and before doing anything else, they thanked him for their splendid run.

Sir Topham Hatt: Not at all, Your Majesty. Thank you.

Queen: We have read a great deal about your engines. May we see them please.

Narrator: So he led the way to where all the engines were waiting.

Toby and Percy: Peep! Peep! They're coming!

Henry and James: Shh, shh! Shh, shh!

Narrator: But Toby and Percy were too excited to care. Sir Topham Hatt told the King and Queen their names, and they talked to each engine. Then she turned to go.

Percy: Three cheers for the King and Queen!

Engines: Peeeep! Peeeep! Peeeep!

Narrator: Sir Topham Hatt held his ears, but the King and Queen, smiling, waved to the engines till they passed the gate. The next day, the King and Queen spoke specially Thomas, who fetched their coaches, and to Edward, Gordon and Flying Scotsman, who took them away. Emily felt worried about Sunshine. Her eyes were filled with tear.

Emily: {tearfully} Thomas, Sunshine has an accident in the mud. Can you help me, Ten Cents and Percy find him.

Thomas: Yes, Emily. We'll find him now. Emily, you're the best date I've ever gad.

Emily: {blushes} Thanks, Thomas. You're the best date I've ever had too.

Narrator: Thomas, Ten Cents, Percy and Emily puffed away to find Sunshine. That evening, Captain Zero was busy congratulating the Z-Stacks for being so clever.

Captain Zero: Congratulates, you five.

Z-Stacks: Thank, you.

Captain Zero: Good man, Zorran, but there's one thing that you didn't.

Zak: It was Sunshine. No, Sir!

Captain Zero: Good! Very good! Now the Royal train is now cancelled. You, five, can stay.

Narrator: The Z-Stacks giggled and laughed.

Senor Gonzales: Hey, what am I going to do with these bananas?!

Narrator: Late that night, Thomas, Percy, Ten Cents and Emily were puffing and find Sunshine.

Thomas: Sunshine! Where is he?

Percy: Sunshine!

Ten Cents: Sunshine!

Emily: Sunshine!

Ten Cents: Oh, Sunshine. My best friend is gone.

Narrator: A tank engine puffed past through. Sunshine was still in the mud.

Sunshine: Ten Cents, my best friend.

Narrator: Suddenly, he heard four whistles. There were Thomas, Percy, Ten Cents and Emily.

Sunshine: Thomas, Percy, Ten Cents, Emily, where have you been?

Ten Cents: We found you, Sunshine.

Thomas: Max and Rocky will take you to Sodor Steamworks.

Narrator: Later, Max, a blue BR Class 03 with black-and-yellow hazard stripes, arrived with Rocky, a red Ransomes and Rapier 45-ton steam crane with yellow hazard stripes. Rocky lifted Sunshine off the mud and into his flatbed. They, Thomas, Percy, Ten Cents and Emily took him to Sodor Steamworks, where Victor, a dark red ALCO #1173 with yellow stripes, and black and yellow hazard stripes on his bufferbeam, and he Sodor Steamworks logo on the side of his cab, and Kevin, a yellow Ransome and Rapier 20 ton crane with hazard stripes, resided.

Victor: {Hispanic accent} Hello, Thomas! What's with that engine?

Thomas: This is Sunshine. He's Ten Cents' best friend.

Victor: You've come to the right place, my friends! Here at Sodor Steamworks, we repair and rebuild engines like the works.

Kevin: Let's get him repaired!
