One cold December late-afternoon, a few days before Christmas, Molly was in the sidings looking at the lovely white snow fall from the sky.

Molly: The snow is so pretty this time of year.

{Thomas backs up next to her.}

Thomas: Happy holidays, Molly.

Hank: {chuffing up alongside} Hello, Thomas. Molly.

Thomas: Hello, Hank.

Hank: Well, I'd better get back to work. {puffs off}

Thomas: Molly...

Molly: Yes, Thomas?

Thomas: I said that, six years ago, we'd get married and even have a family. Well, I want that dream to come true for the both of us. {shows a shining 24 karat gold ring, one that Sodor miners had crafted for him} Molly, will you marry me?

Molly: {so happy} Yes! Yes, I will.

Thomas: Happy holidays, Molly.

Molly: We’ve had lots of great memories here on Sodor.

Just then, Gordon arrived, pulling the express.

Gordon: What are you two doing?

Thomas and Molly: We're getting married!

Gordon: That's great news! Hope you two have a nice wedding.

The news soon spread about Thomas and Molly's engagement. Even Sir Topham Hatt had heard. And he went to see Thomas and Molly right away.

Sir Topham Hatt: Thomas, I'm very proud of you!

Thomas: For what?

Sir Topham Hatt: You are the second engine to pop the question on Sodor.

Thomas: Who was the first?

Sir Topham Hatt: Your father.

Thomas: My DAD?!?

Sir Topham Hatt: Yes, he proposed to your mother.

Thomas: I always thought he was special.

Sir Topham Hatt: Also, if you get married, you'll take over the railway once I die even if you're an engine. It's even in my will. My son is too young.

Thomas: Who will be my best man?

Thomas had to choose between his best friends Stanley, Percy, and Toby. Molly went to get some bridesmaids. She found Emily, looking quite miserable.

Molly: Is something the matter, Emily?

Emily said nothing. Molly knew this was a good opportunity.

Molly: Emily, I was hoping you and Danni could be my bridesmaids for my wedding?

Emily's face lit up immediately.

Emily: Thank you, Molly! You’ll never regret this!

Soon, the big day came. As Thomas was getting ready, Lady appeared.

Lady: Hello Thomas.

Thomas: Lady? Why are you here?

Lady: For your wedding. And I brought a friend. Proteus!

Just then, a yellow engine that resembled Sir Handel arrived.

Proteus: Proteus the magical engine at your service. I hate coming down the little engine line so I used my powers of becoming standard gauge, if you're wondering. Let us gaze into my magic lamp to see what Molly is up to.

Molly: {joyful} Today is the day. I'm finally getting married. This is a dream come true. {sad} If only my parents were here to see this though.

Thomas: Is there anything that lamp can't do?

Proteus: It can't make a proper ice-cream sundae.

Soon, the wedding began. Molly wished her parents were here. She had already met Thomas' parents, and they were very nice. She thought about the day Eagle was the priest. Emily and Danni chuffed walked down the aisle.

Neville: You ready, Molly?

Molly: As ready as I've ever been.

Molly and Neville rolled down the aisle as everyone turned to look at Molly. The guests gasped in amazement as Molly puffed past. Thomas slowly turned around to see his beautiful bride. He couldn’t believe it was Molly. Eagle began to read from the bible on his buffers as Thomas and Molly gazed into each others eyes.

Eagle: Deary beloved, we are gathered here today to join together Thomas and Molly in holy wedlock. If there are those who object to this wedding, speak now.

James: I OBJECT!

Molly: Not again!

James: Molly, please don't marry Thomas. Marry me! I'll treat you right.

Eagle: Security!

Dennis and Boco: Yes, sir!

Soon Eagle asked Thomas to repeat after him.

Thomas: "I call upon these persons here present, to witness that I, Thomas, do take thee, Molly, to be my lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, for richer for poorer, until death do us part."

Eagle: I now, happily, pronounce you, husband and wife, Thomas, you know what to do. {winks}

{Days later}

Lady: Thomas has done well.

Proteus: Yes, but he has an even bigger test ahead.

Lady: It is dangerous, but worth the gamble.

Proteus: I do not want to risk them, but it must happen.

Lady: These prophecies. Only Thomas can read them or his father, but he is too old now. Thomas can read them after a child is born.

Proteus: We must do this. Too long have we held it back, waiting for the right engine.

Lady: Yes.
