Our work this week reflects our ideas and career interests. We started our work by identifying that we all had some interest in a multicultural approach to the development of a class. We also had a division with similar interests in some emphasis on the use of selective ad appropriate technologies to meet educational objectives.

We have used concept mapping to identify where our ideas overlap and as a springboard for discussion about the direction and scope of the proposed project. It served also as a reminder that the project could become too large and that we must focus. Assessment became an issue which was considered as possibly out of the scope of the project, but then came back for consideration as a tool to identify prior knowledge and use this to provide appropriate learning opportunities and flexibility within the class design.

We have collaboratively massaged the proposed title and have agreed that we have a good working start, for fine tuning as we proceed.

We discussed means for collaboratively researching and developing the content in a wiki, blog or recently just in our group area. We will be identifying our personal areas of interest in the research, drafting, proofing, final writing, etc.
