Todd Takes The Plunge

  • Ringo Starr: One day, Randy wanted to rest, but Todd was talking to some chipmunks. He was telling them about the time he had braved bad weather to help Pooh Bear.
  • Todd: It was raining hard. Water swirled under my boiler. I couldn't see where I was going, but I struggled on.
  • Chip: Oh, Todd, you are brave.
  • Todd: Well, it wasn't anything really. Water's nothing to a character with determination.
  • Dale: Tell us more, Todd.
  • Randy: What are you characters doing here?
  • Ringo Starr: Hissed Randy.
  • Randy: This shed is for Mickey Mouse's characters. Go away. Silly things.
  • Ringo Starr: Randy snorted.
  • Todd: They're not silly.
  • Ringo Starr: Todd had been enjoying himself.
  • Randy: They are silly and so are you. Water's nothing to a character with determination. Huh.
  • Todd: Anyway.
  • Ringo Starr: Said cheeky Todd.
  • Todd: I'm not afraid of water, I like it.
  • Ringo Starr: He ran off to the harbour singing.
  • Todd: Once a character attached to a train, was afraid of a few drops of rain.
  • Randy: No one ever lets me forget the time i wouldn't come out of the tunnel in case the rain spoiled my paint.
  • Ringo Starr: Huffed Randy. Pooh was looking at the board on the key.
  • Pooh: Danger. We mustn't go passed it.
  • Ringo Starr: He said.
  • Pooh: That's orders.
  • Todd: Why?
  • Pooh: Danger means falling down something.
  • Ringo Starr: Said Pooh.
  • Pooh: I went pass danger once, and fell down a mine.
  • Todd: I can't see a mine.
  • Ringo Starr: Said Todd. He didn't know that the foundations of the key had sunk. The rails now sloped down into the sea.
  • Dipper: Stupid board.
  • Ringo Starr: Said Todd. Todd made a plan. One day, he whispered to the pirates.
  • Todd: Will you give me a bump when we get to the key?
  • Ringo Starr: The pirates had never asked to bump an engine before. They giggled and chattered about it.
  • Todd: Driver doesn't know my plan.
  • Ringo Starr: Chuckled Todd.
  • Pirates: On, on, on!
  • Ringo Starr: Laughed the pirates. Todd thought they were helping.
  • Todd: I'll pretend to stop at the station, but the pirates will push me pass the board. Then I'll make them stop. I can do that wherever I like.
  • Ringo Starr: Every wise character knows that you cannot trust pirates.
  • Pirates: Go on, go on!
  • Ringo Starr: They yelled, and bumped Todd's driver and fireman off the footplate.
  • Todd: Oh!
  • Ringo Starr: Said Todd, sliding pass the board. Todd was frantic.
  • Todd: That's enough!
  • Ringo Starr: Todd was sunked.
  • Mickey: You are a very disobeident character.
  • Ringo Starr: Todd knew that voice.
  • Todd: Please, sir, get me out, sir, I'm truly sorry, sir.
  • Mickey: No, Todd, we cannot do that till high tide. I hope it will teach you to take care of yourself.
  • Todd: Yes, sir.
  • Ringo Starr: It was dark when they brought floating cranes to rescue Todd. He was too cold and stiff to move by himself. Next day, he was sent to the works on Randy's goods train.
  • Randy: Well, well, well!
  • Ringo Starr: Chuckled Randy.
  • Randy: Did you like the water?
  • Todd: No.
  • Randy: I am surprised. You need more determination, Todd. Water's nothing to a character with determination you know. Perhaps you will like it better next time.
  • Ringo Starr: Todd is quite determined that there won't be a next time.

Todd's Ghostly Trick

  • (Owl hooting twice)
  • (Ghostly air horn blows)
  • Todd: And every year on the date of the accident, it runs again as a warning to others, plunging into the gap, shrieking like a lost soul.
  • Pooh: Todd, what are you talking about?
  • Todd: The ghost train. Driver saw it last night.
  • Kuzco: Where?
  • Ringo Starr: Asked Pooh and Kuzco.
  • Todd: He didn't say, oh it makes my wheels wobble to think of it.
  • Pooh: Pooh!
  • Ringo Starr: Said Pooh.
  • Pooh: You're just a silly little kid. I'm not scared.
  • Todd: Pooh didn't believe in ghosts.
  • Ringo Starr: Said Todd next morning. His driver laughed.
  • Driver: Neither do I. It was only a pretend ghost story.
  • Ringo Starr: Todd was disappointed. That evening, he came back from the harbour. Todd knew where he was, even in the dark.
  • Todd: Crowe's Farm Crossing. We shan't be long now.
  • Ringo Starr: He liked running at night. The rails hummed and the signal light shone green. But a broken cart load of lime lay ahead. Sam the Farmer had just gone for help. Todd broke the cart to smithereens. Lime flew everywhere. He puffed quickly to the nearest signal box. Todd's driver explained what had happened.
  • Signalman: I'll see to it.
  • Ringo Starr: Said the Signalman.
  • Signalman: But you better clean Todd, or people will think he's a ghost.
  • Ringo Starr: Todd chuckled.
  • Todd: Do let's pretend I'm a ghost and scared Pooh. That'll teach him to see I'm a silly little kid.
  • Ringo Starr: Kuzco promised to help. Pooh was being oiled up for his evening train.
  • Kuzco: Todd's had an accident!
  • Ringo Starr: Cried Kuzco.
  • Pooh: Poor kid.
  • Ringo Starr: Said Pooh.
  • Pooh: Botheration! That means I'll be late!
  • Kuzco: They've cleared the line for you, but there's something worse.
  • Pooh: Out with it, Kuzco, I can't wait all evening.
  • Kuzco: I've just seen something.
  • Ringo Starr: Said Kuzco.
  • Kuzco: It looked like Todd's ghost. It said it was coming here to warn us.
  • Pooh: Pooh! Who cares? Don't be frightened, Kuzco. I'll take care of you.
  • Todd: (ghostly voice) Peep, peep, peep-peep-peep, peep! Let me in, let me in!
  • Ringo Starr: Wailed Todd.
  • Kuzco: No, no! Not by the smoke on my chimney chim chim!
  • Todd: (ghostly voice) I'll chuff and I'll puff and I'll break your door in!
  • Pooh: Oh dear!
  • Ringo Starr: Explained Pooh.
  • Pooh: It's getting late. Oh, I have no idea. Oh, I must find Mitchie and Amethyst.
  • Ringo Starr: It was morning when Pooh returned.
  • Kuzco: Where have you been?
  • Ringo Starr: Asked Kuzco.
  • Pooh: Ah well.
  • Ringo Starr: Said Pooh.
  • Pooh: I knew you be sad about Todd, and I, um, I didn't like to intrude. I slept in the freight shed and... Oh, sorry, can't stop. Gotta see a coach about a train.
  • Ringo Starr: Todd was non a worse for his adventure, and was still enjoying himself enormously. He had heard everything.
  • Todd: Well, well, well! What do you know about that?
  • Kuzco: Anyone would think...
  • Ringo Starr: Chuckled Kuzco.
  • Kuzco: ...that our Pooh Bear was just seen a ghost!

Woolly Bear

  • Ringo Starr: In the summer, the work crews cut the long grass along the road, raking it into heaps to dry in the sun. At this time of year, Todd stops where they have been cutting. The men load up his empty wagons and he pulls them to the station. Kuzco then takes them to the hills for the farmers to feed their stock.
  • Todd: Wheeeeeeeesh!
  • Ringo Starr: Todd gave a ghostly whistle.
  • Todd: Don't be frightened, Pooh.
  • Ringo Starr: He laughed.
  • Todd: It's only me!
  • Pooh: Your ugly fizz is enough to frighten anyone.
  • Ringo Starr: Said Pooh.
  • Pooh: You're like...
  • Todd: Ugly indeed. I'm...
  • Pooh: A green caterpillar with red stripes.
  • Ringo Starr: Continued Pooh firmly.
  • Pooh: You crawl like one too.
  • Todd: I don't!
  • Pooh: Who's been late every afternoon this week?
  • Todd: It's the hay.
  • Pooh: I can't help that.
  • Ringo Starr: Said Pooh.
  • Pooh: Time's time, and Mickey Mouse relies on me to keep it. I can't if you crawl in the hay till all hours.
  • Todd: Green caterpillar indeed.
  • Ringo Starr: Fumed Todd. He set off to collect some hay to take to the harbour.
  • Todd: Everyone says I'm handsome, or at least nearly anyone. Anyway, my curves are better than Pooh's corners. Pooh says I'm always late.
  • Ringo Starr: He grumbled.
  • Todd: I'm never late, or at least only a few minutes. What's that to Pooh? He can always catch up time farther on.
  • Ringo Starr: All the same, he and his driver decided to start home early. Then came trouble. A crate of treacle was upset all over Todd. Todd was cross. He was still sticky when he puffed away. The wind was blowing fiercely.
  • Driver: Look at that!
  • Ringo Starr: Explained the driver. The wind caught the piled hay, tossing it up and over the track. The line climbed here.
  • Driver: Take a run at it, Todd.
  • Ringo Starr: His driver advised. Todd gathered speed. But the hay made the rails slippery and his wheels wouldn't grip. Time after time he stalled with spinning wheels and had to wait until the line ahead was cleared before he could start again. Everyone was waiting. Pooh seethed impatiently.
  • Pooh: Ten minutes late. I warned him. Passengers will complain and Mickey Mouse...
  • Ringo Starr: Then they all saw Todd. They laughed and shouted.
  • Todd: Sorry I'm late.
  • Ringo Starr: Todd panted.
  • Pooh: Look what's crawled out of the hay!
  • Ringo Starr: Teased Pooh.
  • Todd: What's wrong?
  • Ringo Starr: Asked Todd.
  • Pooh: Talk about hairy caterpillars.
  • Ringo Starr: Puffed Pooh.
  • Pooh: It's worth been late to have seen you.
  • Ringo Starr: When Todd got home, his driver showed him what he looked like in the mirror.
  • Todd: Bust my buffers! No wonder they all laughed. I'm just look like a woolly bear. Please clean me before Kuzco comes.
  • Ringo Starr: But it was no good. Pooh told Kuzco all about it. Instead of talking about sensible things like playing ghosts, Pooh and Kuzco made jokes about woolly bear caterpillars, and other creatures which crawled about in hay. They laughed a lot, but Todd thought they were really being very silly indeed!

Saved From Scrap

  • Ringo Starr: Mickey Mouse works his characters hard, but they are very proud when he calls them really useful.
  • Buzz: I'm going to the scrap yard today.
  • Ringo Starr: Buzz called to Pooh.
  • Buzz: What? Already? You're not that old.
  • Ringo Starr: Replied Pooh cheekily. Pooh was only teasing. The scrap yard is full of rusty old parts and machinery. The are broken into pieces, loaded into cars, and Buzz pulls them to the steel works where they are melted down and used again. Today, there was a surprise waiting for Buzz in the yard. It was a dog.
  • Buzz: Hello.
  • Ringo Starr: Said Buzz.
  • Buzz: You're not broken and rusty. What are you doing here?
  • Copper: I'm Copper. They're going to break me up next week.
  • Buzz: What a shame.
  • Ringo Starr: Said Buzz.
  • Copper: My driver says I only need some paint, polish and oil to be as good as new. But my owner says I'm old-fashioned.
  • Ringo Starr: Buzz snorted.
  • Buzz: People say I'm old-fashioned, but I don't care. Mickey Mouse says I'm a useful character. What work did you do?
  • Copper: My owner would send me from farm to farm. We threshed corn, hauled logs and did lots of other work. The children loved to see us.
  • Ringo Starr: Copper shut his eyes, remembering.
  • Copper: Oh, yes. I like children.
  • Ringo Starr: Buzz set off to the station.
  • Buzz: Broken up, what a shame. Broken up, what a shame. I must help Copper, I must.
  • Ringo Starr: He thought of all his friends who liked characters. But strangely, none of them would have room for a dog at home.
  • Buzz: It's a shame, It's a shame.
  • Ringo Starr: He hissed. Then...
  • Buzz: Peep-peep! Why didn't I think of him before?
  • Ringo Starr: There, on the platform was the very person.
  • Grimsby: Hello, Buzz. You look upset. What's the matter, Charlie?
  • Ringo Starr: He asked the driver.
  • Driver: There's a boy in the scrap yard, Grimsby. He'll be broken up next week. Principal Skeeves says he never drove a better character.
  • Buzz: Do save him, sir. He saws wood and gives children rides.
  • Grimsby: We'll see.
  • Ringo Starr: Replied Grimsby. Principal Skeeves came on Saturday.
  • Skeeves: The reverend's coming to see you, Copper. Maybe he'll buy you.
  • Copper: Do you think he will?
  • Ringo Starr: Asked Copper hopefully.
  • Skeeves: He will when I've lit your fire and clean you up.
  • Ringo Starr: Grimsby and his two boys arrived that evening. Copper hadn't been so happy for months. He chuffered about the yard.
  • Grimsby: Show your paces, Copper.
  • Ringo Starr: Said Grimsby. Later, he came out of the office, smiling.
  • Grimsby: I've got him cheap, Skeeves. Cheap.
  • Skeeves: Do you hear that, Grimsby?
  • Ringo Starr: Cried Skeeves.
  • Skeeves: The reverend saved you and you live in the vicarage now.
  • Copper: Peep-peep!
  • Ringo Starr: Whistled Copper. Now Copper's home is in the vicarage orchard. And he sees Buzz every day. His paint is spotless and his brass shines like gold. Copper likes his work, but his happiest day is the church fair. With a wooden seat bolted to his bunker, he chuffers around the orchard, giving rides to children. Long afterwards, you will see him shut his eyes, remembering.
  • Copper: I like children.
  • Ringo Starr: He whispers happily.

A New Friend For Pooh

  • Ringo Starr: Copper the Hound Dog enjoyed living in the vicarage orchard. Buzz Lightyear came to see him everyday, but sometimes, Copper didn't have enough work to do.
  • Copper: I do like to keep busy all the time.
  • Ringo Starr: He sighed one day.
  • Copper: And I do like company, especially children's company.
  • Buzz: Cheer up.
  • Ringo Starr: Smiled Buzz.
  • Buzz: Mickey Mouse has work for you at his new harbor. I'm to take you to meet Pooh today.
  • Copper: Oh!
  • Ringo Starr: Exclaimed Copper happily.
  • Copper: A harbor. The seaside. Children! That will be lovely!
  • Ringo Starr: Pooh was on his way to the harbor with a trainload of metal pilings. They were needed to make the harbor warf firm and safe.
  • Buzz: Hello, Pooh.
  • Ringo Starr: Said Buzz.
  • Buzz: This is Copper, a friend of mine. He's a hound dog.
  • Ringo Starr: Pooh eyed the newcomer doubtfully.
  • Pooh: A what dog?
  • Ringo Starr: He asked.
  • Copper: A hound dog.
  • Ringo Starr: Exclaimed Copper.
  • Copper: I run on roads instead of rails. Can you take me to the harbor, please? Mickey Mouse has a job for me.
  • Pooh: Yes, of course.
  • Ringo Starr: Replied Pooh. But he was still puzzled. Workmen coupled Copper's cart to Pooh's train. And soon, they were ready to start their journey.
  • Copper: I'm glad Mickey Mouse needs me.
  • Ringo Starr: Called Copper.
  • Copper: I don't have enough to do sometimes, you know. Although I can work anywhere. In orchards, on farms, in scrap yards, even at harbors.
  • Pooh: But you don't run on rails.
  • Ringo Starr: Puffed Pooh.
  • Copper: I'm a hound dog. I don't need rails to be useful.
  • Ringo Starr: Replied Copper.
  • Copper: You wait and see.
  • Ringo Starr: When they reached the harbor, they found everything in confusion. Pirates have been derailed, blocking the line. And stone slabs lay everywhere.
  • Driver: We must get these pilings past.
  • Ringo Starr: Said Pooh's driver.
  • Pooh: They are essential. Copper, we need you to drag them around this mess.
  • Copper: Just the sort of job I like.
  • Ringo Starr: Replied Copper.
  • Copper: Now you'll see Pooh. I'll soon show you what hound dogs can do.
  • Ringo Starr: Copper was as good as his work. He dragged the pilings clear with chains, and towed them into position.
  • Copper: Who needs rails?
  • Ringo Starr: He muttered cheerfully to himself. Later, Pooh brought Mitchie and Amethyst to visit him. Pooh was most impressed.
  • Pooh: Now I understand how useful a hound dog can be.
  • Ringo Starr: The coaches were full of children. Copper gave them rides along the harbor. He liked this best of all.
  • Mitchie: He's very kind.
  • Ringo Starr: Said Mitchie.
  • Amethyst: He reminds of Pooh.
  • Ringo Starr: Added Amethyst. Everyone was sorry when it was time for Copper to go. Pooh pulled him to the junction. A small tear came into Copper's eye. Pooh pretended not to see. He whistled gaily to make Copper happy.
  • Pooh: I'll come and see you if I can.
  • Ringo Starr: He promised.
  • Pooh: Grimsby will look after you and there's plenty of work for you now at the orchard. But we may need you again at the harbor someday.
  • Copper: That would be wonderful.
  • Ringo Starr: Said Copper. That evening, Copper stood remembering his new friend, Pooh, the harbor, and most of all, the children. Then he went happily to sleep in the shed at the bottom of the orchard.

Sebastian The Crab

  • Ringo Starr: Autumn had come to Disneyland. The fields were changing from yellow stubble to brown earth, and a crab was hard at work as Pooh walked along. Later, Pooh saw the crab close by.
  • Sebastian: Hello.
  • Ringo Starr: Said the crab.
  • Sebastian: I'm Sebastian, I'm plowing.
  • Pooh: I'm Pooh, I'm pulling a train. What ugly wheels you got.
  • Sebastian: They're not ugly, they're caterpillars.
  • Ringo Starr: Said Sebastian.
  • Sebastian: I can go anywhere. I don't need rails.
  • Pooh: I don't want to go anywhere.
  • Ringo Starr: Said Pooh.
  • Pooh: I like my rails, thank you.
  • Ringo Starr: Winter came with dark clouds full of snow.
  • Driver: I don't like it.
  • Ringo Starr: Said Pooh's driver.
  • Driver: A heavy fall is coming. I hope it doesn't stop us.
  • Pooh: Huh!
  • Ringo Starr: Puffed Pooh.
  • Pooh: Soft stuff, nothing to it.
  • Ringo Starr: And he puffed on feeling cold but confident. They finished their journey safely but by now the country was covered.
  • Driver: You need your snowplough for the next journey, Pooh.
  • Ringo Starr: Said his driver.
  • Pooh: Huh! Snow is silly soft stuff it won't stop me.
  • Ringo Starr: The snowplough was heavy and uncomfortable and made Pooh cross. He shook it and he banged it and when they got back it was so damaged that the driver had to take it off.
  • Driver: You're a very naughty bear.
  • Ringo Starr: He said to Pooh. Next morning, Pooh's driver and fireman came early and worked hard to mend the snowplough, but they couldn't make it fit. Thomas was pleased.
  • Pooh: I shan't have to wear it, I shan't have to wear it.
  • Ringo Starr: He puffed to Mitchie and Amethyst. But they were rather worried.
  • Mitchie and Amethyst: I hope it's all right, I hope it's all right.
  • Ringo Starr: They whispered to each other. The driver was worried too.
  • Driver: It's not bad here.
  • Ringo Starr: He said to the fireman.
  • Driver: But it's sure to be deep in the valley.
  • Pooh: Silly soft stuff.
  • Ringo Starr: Huffed Pooh.
  • Pooh: I didn't need that stupid old thing yesterday and I shan't today. Snow can't stop me.
  • Ringo Starr: He rushed into a tunnel thinking how clever he was. But there was trouble ahead.
  • Pooh: Cinders and ashes!
  • Ringo Starr: Said Pooh.
  • Pooh: I'm stuck.
  • Ringo Starr: And he was.
  • Driver: Back, Pooh, back.
  • Ringo Starr: Said his driver. Pooh tried but his wheels spun and he couldn't move. The conductor went back for help while everyone else tried to dig the snow away. But as fast as they dug, more snow slipped down until Pooh was nearly buried.
  • Pooh: Oh, my feet and coupling rods. I shall have to stop here till I'm frozen. What a silly old bear I am.
  • Ringo Starr: And Pooh began to cry. At last the bus came to rescue the passengers. And then who should come to Pooh's rescue, but Sebastian. Snow never worries him. He pulled the empty coaches away, then came back for Pooh. Pooh's feet were clear but still spun when he tried to move. Sebastian tugged and slipped and slipped and tugged and at last dragged Pooh clear of the snow ready for the journey home.
  • Pooh: Thank you, Sebastian. Your caterpillars are splendid.
  • Ringo Starr: Said Pooh.
  • Driver: I hope you'll be sensible now, Pooh.
  • Ringo Starr: Said his driver.
  • Pooh: I'll try.
  • Ringo Starr: Said Pooh and he puffed slowly away.

Pooh's Christmas Party

  • Ringo Starr: It was Christmas on Disneyland. All the characters were working hard. Pooh and Kuzco were busy carrying people and parcels up and down the branch line. Everyone was happy. Only the longstocking girls Mitchie and Amethyst were complaining.
  • Mitchie: It's always the same before Christmas.
  • Ringo Starr: They groaned.
  • Amethyst: We feel so full, we feel so full.
  • Pooh: Oh, come on!
  • Ringo Starr: Said Pooh.
  • Pooh: Where's your festive spirit? Christmas day is almost here.
  • Ringo Starr: By the side of the track was a little cottage with a familiar figure waving to them.
  • Pooh: It's Mary Poppins!
  • Ringo Starr: Whistled Pooh.
  • Pooh: Peep, peep! Happy Christmas!
  • Ringo Starr: Pooh always felt better for seeing her.
  • Pooh: Christmas just wouldn't be Christmas without Mary Poppins.
  • Ringo Starr: When work was over, Pooh went to see the other characters. All their coats had been polished.
  • Mike: Huh!
  • Ringo Starr: Said Mike.
  • Mike: Just look at us. Your driver will have to work fast to get you as smart as us.
  • Pooh: Never mind that.
  • Ringo Starr: Replied Pooh.
  • Pooh: I've something important to say. Do you realize it's been a whole year since Mary Poppins saved us from a nasty accident? You remember when she was ill in bed and...?
  • Buzz: Yes of course.
  • Ringo Starr: Interrupted Buzz.
  • Buzz: You told us how she waved her red dressing gown out of her window to warn you about a landslide ahead.
  • Todd: And you and Kuzco gave her presents.
  • Ringo Starr: Todd joined in.
  • Todd: And Mickey Mouse sent her to Bournemouth to get better.
  • Zachary: But...
  • Ringo Starr: Said Zachary and Randy together.
  • Randy: The rest of us have never thanked her properly.
  • Pooh: Exactly.
  • Ringo Starr: Said Pooh.
  • Pooh: So now I think we should all give her a special Christmas party.
  • Ringo Starr: Everyone was getting very excited and the drivers felt sure that Mickey Mouse will agree as indeed he did. The characters were all busy making plans, when silence fell. Mickey Mouse had bad news.
  • Mickey: The weather's changed badly. Mary Poppins is snowed up. Kuzco says he'll help to rescue her. You must help too, Pooh. There's no party unless you do.
  • Ringo Starr: Pooh hated snow, but he said bravely.
  • Pooh: I'll try, sir. We must rescue her, we must.
  • Mickey: There's a good bear. You and Kuzco will manage splendidly.
  • Ringo Starr: Pooh charged the snowdrifts fiercely. Sometimes he swept them aside, sometimes they stuck fast and the men had to loosen them. But at the cutting near the cottage, they could go no further.
  • Fireman: Look at that!
  • Ringo Starr: Exclaimed Pooh's fireman.
  • Pooh: Peep, peep, peep! Here we are.
  • Ringo Starr: Whistled Pooh. An answering wave came from an upstairs window. Then they heard a familiar sound.
  • Pooh: That's Sebastian..
  • Ringo Starr: Said Pooh.
  • Pooh: He's come to help too.
  • Ringo Starr: Sure enough, Sebastian had a snowplough and was working hard to clear a patch to the railroad line to safety. At long last, the rescue was complete. Todd took the tired workmen home. Sebastian said goodbye to Mary Poppins and promised to take care of her cottage as he watched them all set off. The characters made good time. No more snow had fallen, but the yard was dark. Pooh's heart sank. Suddenly, all the lights went on. What a marvelous site awaited Mary Poppins.
  • Mickey: Well done!
  • Ringo Starr: Said Mickey.
  • Mickey: I'm really proud of you all.
  • Ringo Starr: Mary Poppins especially thanked the smaller characters.
  • Mary: Pooh and Kuzco are old friends.
  • Ringo Starr: She said.
  • Mary: And now Todd, you are my friend too.
  • Ringo Starr: Todd was very pleased.
  • Todd: Three cheers for Mary Poppins!
  • Ringo Starr: He called.
  • Todd: Peep, peep, peep!
  • Ringo Starr: They all whistled.
  • All: (singing) We wish you a merry Christmas, we wish you a merry Christmas, we wish you a merry Christmas and a happy new year.
  • Ringo Starr: Winnie the Pooh and his friends thought it was the best Christmas ever and Mary Poppins could think of nowhere should rather live than here with them on the Disneyland.

Pooh and The Missing Christmas Tree

  • Ringo Starr: It was two days before Christmas. Many children were expected on Disneyland. All the characters were busy with the final preparations.
  • Mickey Mouse: Our Christmas tree has arrived just in time. I want you to fetch it, Pooh. Penn can look after Mitchie and Amethyst until you get back.
  • Pooh: Will we be able to sing carols too?
  • Ringo Starr: Asked Pooh.
  • Mickey: We'll see.
  • Pooh: It would be nice to sing carols again.
  • Ringo Starr: Sighed Pooh as he set off on his important mission. Pooh collected the tree safely but large snowdrifts lay ahead.
  • Pooh: I musn't be late.
  • Ringo Starr: He thought. Whistling bravely, Pooh tried to move. But he couldn't. There was worse to come. Poor Pooh was snowed under. Meanwhile the other characters waited and waited. They were grumbling about Pooh for being late.
  • Mickey: Silence! Pooh left the works safely, but snow had brought the telephone lines down. We must assume he is stranded.
  • Ringo Starr: The characters now felt sorry for Pooh and cold but confident the animals set off to the rescue. Suddenly, they came to a drift that was deeper than the rest.
  • Pooh: Help!
  • Timon: Hush!
  • Ringo Starr: Said Timon.
  • Timon: I can hear something.
  • Pumbaa: Probally the wind.
  • Ringo Starr: Said Pumbaa.
  • Pooh: Help!
  • Timon: No listen.
  • Ringo Starr: Insisted Timon.
  • Pooh: Over here!
  • Pumbaa: Oh, it's Pooh Bear. Come on the poor wee bear must be frozen to the frames in there.
  • Ringo Starr: When the workmen arrived, it took some time to decide how to dig away the drifts of snow. Pooh's driver and fireman, who had taken shelter at a nearby cottage, joined the rescue. At last, Pooh and the precious Christmas tree were free from the snowdrift. Then they set off once more to finish their long journey.
  • Mickey: As a reward for all your hard work, you may go and enjoy the carols. Be quick now.
  • Ringo Starr: At the big station, all was soon ready.
  • Mickey: One, two, three!
  • Ringo Starr: Suddenly like magic the station was flooded with lights.
  • Mickey: Ladies and gentlemen and children, i give you three cheers for Winnie the Pooh and all his friends who had made this occasion possible.
  • Ringo Starr: Suddenly there was a strange whirring sound. Todd and Kuzco smiled, they knew who it was. With landing lights shining brightly, Launchpad McQuack touched down gently in the snow. Bringing the greatest surprise of all, Father Christmas. Everyone cheered and the party began.
  • Pooh: It's no fun getting stuck in the snow.
  • Ringo Starr: Whispered Pooh to Todd.
  • Pooh: But it was worth it for this party. Happy Christmas, Todd. Happy Christmas, everyone.
