Treasurer (Officer Position)

Elections held once a year at the secret business meetings of the Ship of Fools determine the Treasurer for the following school year. The Fools may be pirates, but they are financially competent pirates. Booty and plunder are known to turn good men's hearts black.

This is a required officer position by the University.

The duties of the Treasurer include:

• Maintaining the club funds and distributing as needed
• Negotiating with clients regarding payment and invoices
• Keeping the club abreast of funds and finances
• Defending against inflation

A competent Treasurer must be familiar with the following:

• Piracy
• Embezzling, laundering money, dirty stock trading, WoW gold exchange rates
• Basic cash handling
• University procedures and policy on money (see: BOSO)
