Narrator: "Pongo the Dalmatian was feeling bright and cheerful. It was a splendid day."

Pongo: "Good morning!"

Narrator: "He barked to some cows, but the cows didn't reply."

Pongo: "Never mind."

Narrator: "Said Pongo."

Pongo: "They're busy with their breakfast."

Narrator: "Next, he saw Tod."

Pongo: "Hello, Tod. Care for a race today?"

Narrator: "But all Tod could say was,"

Tod: "Ouch! That's another hole in the path."

Pongo: "I'm sorry, Tod."

Narrator: "Smiled Pongo.

Pongo was still in good spirits when Tod arrived at the next station."

Pongo: "Bad luck, Tod."

Narrator: "Said Pongo."

Pongo: "Now if you're a dalmatian, you would run a reliable road."

Tod: "Huh!"

Narrator: "Replied Tod."

Tod: "Disneyland was suppose to deliver tar to mend the fox paths two weeks ago. You can't trust thing that runs on roads."

Pongo: "I run on a road. You can trust me, Tod. I'll see if I can find out what's happened."

Narrator: "And Pongo left Tod, and made his way along the branch road towards the big station by the sea.

Donald Duck was snorting about in the yard."

Donald Duck: "It's too bad! Piglet goes to work at the harbor and I do his jobs, here, there and everywhere! Take that!"

Pirates: "Ooh!"

Narrator: "Groaned the pirates."

Pirates: "Just you wait. We'll show you."

Narrator: "Sir Ector laughed."

Sir Ector: "I'll tell you what, Donald. If you pretended to be ill everywhere, you couldn't arrange pirates here, or go to the quarry there, could you?"

Donald Duck: "What a good idea!"

Narrator: "Agreed Donald."

Donald Duck: "Look, here comes Pongo. I'll start pretending now."

Narrator: "Pongo was sorry to see the Disney characters looking miserable."

Pongo: "Cheer up. It's a beautiful day."

Sir Ector: "Yes."

Narrator: "Grumbled Sir Ector."

Sir Ector: "But not for Donald."

Pongo: "What's the matter?"

Sir Ector: "He's sick."

Narrator: "Replied Sir Ector."

Donald Duck: "Yes, he is. I mean, I am."

Narrator: "Stuttered Donald."

Donald Duck: "I don't feel well at all."

Pongo: "Don't worry."

Narrator: "Said Pongo kindly."

Pongo: "I'll help out if you're ill."

Narrator: "Sir Ector and Donald sniggered quietly to each other.

Some of Donald's pirates were given to Pongo, and he went to the quarry. The pirates were still cross."

Pirates: "We couldn't pay Donald back for bumping us, so we'll play tricks on Pongo instead. One Disney character is as good as another."

Narrator: "But Pongo didn't hear them. He collected all the stone from the quarry and set off back to the junction.

Danger lay ahead."

Pirates: "Now for our plan."

Narrator: "Giggled the pirates."

Pirates: "Go faster, go faster!"

Pongo's Driver: "Slow down!"

Narrator: "Called Pongo's driver, and applied the brakes.

Poor Pongo stood dazed and surprised in a muddy pond, as a toad eyed him suspiciously."

Pongo: "Bust my paws."

Narrator: "Muttered Pongo."

Pongo: "The day started so well, too."

Narrator: "Jiminy Cricket pulled away the pirates, and Hercules helped Pongo back to the junction.

Suddenly, Pongo remembered the missing tar. He told Hercules all about it."

Hercules: "That's strange."

Narrator: "Said Hercules."

Hercules: "A tanker full of tar has been left at my station. That must be it. Driver will make sure it gets to Tod now."

Narrator: "Later, Donald spoke to Pongo."

Donald Duck: "I'm sorry about your accident."

Narrator: "He muttered."

Donald Duck: "And so is Sir Ector. We didn't mean to get you into trouble."

Sir Ector: "No, indeed."

Narrator: "Spluttered Sir Ector."

Sir Ector: "A mere misunderstanding, Pongo. All's well that ends well."

Narrator: "Just then, Tod arrived. He looked much more cheerful."

Tod: "My path's being mended now."

Pongo: "Oh, I am glad."

Narrator: "Replied Pongo."

Tod: "Thanks for all you did. Now I know I can trust a dalmatian, especially if his name is Pongo."

Narrator: "Sir Ector and Donald puffed silently away to the house, but Pongo still had company."

Pongo: "Well, well."

Narrator: "He sighed."

Pongo: "What a day for surprises."

Narrator: "The toad, who was looking forward to a ride home, noisily agreed."
