What will this wiki be about? What sort of articles will be included?

This is a dictionary of words used in credit lists all around the world and the translation into the English word used on IMDb. Hopefully this will help hundreds of IMDb contributors to submitted credit's for millions of foreign language credits. Something that they would other wise not understand. Who will edit this wiki? Is there already a community around this topic? How will you promote the wiki to ensure at least 20 people join? Give links to forums on this topic if you know of any.

IMDb has hundreds of contributors from all around the world. I don't have the up-to-date info, but in 2004 there were 12,772,550 data items sent in. Not all of them were credit's tough, but a large part of it was. There is a large and dedicated group of contributors that have been using the site for many years. I know people that go all the way back to 1997, and some even further. One problem they face, as I said, is when they are contributing credits for a non-English movie. One user faced this problem and opened up a site where around 400 users contributed (http://home.snafu.de/ohei/ofd/md_credits_e.html). Unfortunately this site has had no activity for 3 years. Also the site is build up in a way that it's has not been easy for these 400 contributors to submit their info, but here I believe the system is built in a way that we could see much more contributors.

I have already build a dictionary at scratchpad that I named IMDb dictionary http://scratchpad.wikia.com/wiki/IMDb_dictionary complete with a standardization, a hompage, FAQ and a Statement. Since this site might grow further then just being a dictionary I want to change the name into IMDb Wiki. This mini wiki has already 900 English translations, and as soon as I get a positive reply from ohei from the other dictionary then I'll add hundreds of translations in 20 languages. One problem I have faced at scratchpad is that I can't have the title of the page in lowercase. I have seen on Wiktionary that many of their words are in lowercase, if someone knows I to do this, you can put it here.

Which categories should this wiki be in? For example, sports, or arts, or hobbies? Look through the Wikia categories for ideas. Your wiki can be in more than one category. Put them in Category:Uncategorized, removing the colon ":" and replacing "Uncategorized" with the actual category name.
