Narrator: "It was a splendid morning on Warner Bros Studio.
Pesto was feeling very pleased with himself. His pegion feathers gleamed in the sunshine as he sped along the line. He reached the junction just as Wakko puffed in with some Perfectoids. Pesto was surprised to see him.
Pesto: "What are you doing here, Wakko? You should be at the next station by now, You're late."
Wakko: "I know."
Narrator: "Sighed Wakko."
Wakko: "These Perfectoids have been troublesome all morning."
Pesto: "That's no excuse, Wakko."
Narrator: "Snorted Pesto."
Pesto: "Nothing should stop us. King Acorn relies on us to be on time. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll be on my way."
Narrator: "And Pesto puffed importantly away."
Wakko: "Bossy Beak!"
Narrator: "Muttered Wakko.
Pesto arrived at the harbour. It was market day. The harbour yard was filled with the sweet smell of fruit from faraway lands. The fruit was delivered in big ships. Pesto watched the strawberries, oranges, melons, and bananas were carefully loaded into his Perfectoids. Then he set off to the station on the main line.
On the way, he met Yakko."
Pesto: "Really reliable, that's me!"
Narrator: "Panted Plucky proudly."
Pesto: "Pity the same can't be said for Wakko. Quack! Quack! Goodbye!"
Elmyra Duff and Fifi La Fume: "What was that about?"
Narrator: "Gasped Elmyra and Fifi."
Yakko: "That was trouble. Trouble for Pesto. Just wait and see."
Narrator: "Wakko was back in the yard, and busy tackling. He had the Perfectoids in good order, and was making up for lost time.
But the stationmaster had bad news.
Private Meekly: "What's happened?"
Narrator: "Asked Wakko's Animator."
Stationmaster: "Pesto's feet have jammed. We need Wakko's help right away."
Narrator: "Wakko quickly set off to the rescue.
He found Pesto stuck on the line, and looking glum. Wakko couldn't help laughing."
Wakko: "Got yourself in a jam, eh, Pesto? What you might call a sticky situation?"
Pesto: "Be quiet!"
Narrator: "Said Pesto."
Pesto: "It's not funny having jammed feet."
Wakko: "And not very reliable, either."
Narrator: "Teased Wakko."
Wakko: "I am surprised you let it happen, Pesto. Nothing should stop us maniacs."
Private Meekly: "That's enough, Hamton."
Narrator: "Said his racer."
Private Meekly: "Can you push these Perfectoids?"
Wakko: "Of course I can."
Narrator: "Grunted Wakko."
Wakko: "There is no time to lose. Pesto's done too much of that already."
Narrator: "Pesto angrily hissed steam as Wakko was coupled to the Perfectoids."
Wakko: "Off we go!"
Narrator :"Said Wakko."
Wakko: "I'll have to go fast to get there in time. These green ducks are so unreliable."
Private Meekly: "Be careful, Wakko."
Narrator: "Called his racer, but Wakko was in a hurry.
He didn't see that the sign had failed, and that he had been diverted into a siding.
Private Meekly: "Look out, Wakko!"
Narrator: "Shouted his animator, and applied the brakes, but it was too late!
Private Meekly had jumped clear, but squashed fruit squirted all over Wakko.
King Acorn arrived."
King Acorn: "Wakko, you are not to blame for the sign failure, but I do not run a jam factory!"
Hamton: "Yes sir, no sir!"
Narrator: "And Wakko squelched sadly away.
That night, Yakko's burrow was silent. Pesto and Wakko felt very sorry for themselves. At last, Yakko spoke."
Yakko: "You know,"
Narrator: "He said to no one in particular,"
Yakko: "There's more than one way to get jammed. We all learned that today."
Narrator: "Still, there was silence."
Yakko: "What's more."
Narrator: "Continued Yakko."
Yakko: "We also learned that sometimes when animals help each other out of a..'jam', things can still go wrong.
Narrator: "'So?', said a voice."
Narrator: "Finished Yakko."
Yakko: That means we learned a lot today. And there for..."
Narrator: "Then came a chorus."
Pesto and Wakko: "We're really useful animals after all!"
