A Soundfont is a collection of WAV files that use ASDR envelopes to act as synthesized instruments! Using Creative's EMU-techmology, you can play Soundfonts, also known as SF2 files, using the hardware synth, most notibly the Awe32/64, Live-series and Audigy-series cards with no added software.
