Ringo Starr narration

  • Ringo Starr: The island of Sodor had many visitors and Sir Topham Hatt works them hard, just like his engines. One morning, Sir Topham Hatt sent Wilbert to work on his railway again, this time with Sixteen too. The engines were glad to see the two.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Wilbert, nice to see you again.
  • Ringo Starr: Said Sir Topham Hatt.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Now, here Sixteen is. Please teach him, Wilbert
  • Sixteen: Good morning!
  • Ringo Starr: Whistled Sixteen in a boastful voice.
  • Sixteen: Nice to me you, Wilbert. Is that Donald & Douglas, and Thomas, and Duck, and BoCo, and Edward, and Percy too.! I am dreadfully impressed to see such famous engines.
  • Wilbert: Let's go!
  • Ringo Starr: Whistled Wilbert, and the two set off. The engines were flattered.
  • Edward: I am sure Wilbert and Sixteen will get along.
  • Ringo Starr: Said Edward.
  • Thomas: I bet he won't cause trouble anymore.
  • Ringo Starr: Said Thomas.
  • Duck: I agree, Thomas.
  • Ringo Starr: Huffed Duck.
  • BoCo: I agree too.
  • Ringo Starr: Smiled BoCo. Wilbert had his doubts.
  • Wilbert: Follow me!
  • Ringo Starr: He said. Sixteen puffed after him.
  • Sixteen: The head of the railway-
  • Wilbert: Sir Topham Hatt to you!
  • Ringo Starr: Wilbert corrected. Sixteen looked grumpy.
  • Sixteen: Sir Topham Hatt thinks I need to learn. He's mistaken. I don't need to learn. I know everything. I know how to shunt, pass signs and even pull difficult trains.
  • Wilbert: Look!
  • Ringo Starr: Wilbert told him.
  • Wilbert: You know you went pass a dander sign and fell cab over wheels down to the bottom! Prehaps, you shall pull some freight cars.
  • Ringo Starr: Sixteen was determined to show off.
  • (Sixteen arrives at the shunting yards)
  • Ringo Starr: Sixteen wanted to show Wilbert how he can manage cars.
  • Sixteen: This will be easy.
  • Ringo Starr: He said. But he was wrong. The Shunter had forgotten to release the brake from the tracks. At last, Wilbert has returned from pulling the milk tankers. He could see Sixteen determined to pull. Sixteen began to push and pull, but the freight cars won't move.
  • Sixteen: Push! Pull! Backwards! Forwards!
  • Freight Cars: Oohhh! Ohhh! Ohhh!
  • Ringo Starr: The cars screamed. Wilbert could watch as Sixteen was trying even more harder. Then there was trouble. The bottom of the front car began to collasp.
  • Freight Car: Oh no! I am breaking apart!
  • Ringo Starr: He screamed. And he was! Sixteen was still trying harder. At last, the car in the front was in pieces, as Sixteen shot forward and crashed through the buffers and stopped.
  • Sixteen: Bust my buffers!
  • Ringo Starr: Soon, Edward helped to pull Sixteen back onto the rails, as Wilbert had to pull the rest of the freight cars.

  • Ringo Starr: Wilbert puffed.
  • Wilbert: Must keep time you know, goodbye! (puffs away)
  • Sixteen: Ohhhhh!
  • Ringo Starr: Sixteen had to help the workmen clear the mess. He hated it. He was not happy about the iccident, and wanted to get back at Wilbert.
  • Sixteen: This is not good! I must have a way to get back at Wilbert! Then, he will be sillier than me!
  • Ringo Starr: He grumbled, and he puffed all the way to the sheds.
  • Sixteen: Must get back at Wilbert! Must get back at Wilbert!
  • Ringo Starr: I wondered if he would or not, don't you?
